RIP James Caan (March 26, 1940 - July 6, 2022), aged 82
You will be remembered as a legend.
Kath Bates quote the tweet: I’m heartbroken to hear of Jimmy’s passing. Shocked. No words. Thank you, Jimmy. Love you, your ‘Kat’.
He will also always be remembered having 2 left feet. 🫢
When i was a nursing assistant at a hospital, I worked with a nurse who was EXACTLY like Annie Wilkes! Her behavior, attitude, personality, dranor, tone of voice, CARBON COPY!!!! She was also Elvis Presley's Number One Fan and VERY open about it, with staff and patients!!!
That's scary
it’s scarier for a medical professional to compare a mentally ill person to a horror movie antagonist…
@@beefy74 try working in a setting like that.
@@elgrigorio1 try having empathy for the people you take care of
@@beefy74 I wasn't talking about patients, I was talking about a colleague.
One of the best and most uncomfortable scenes in film history.
We all cringed on the 1st take. Almost blew the take.
This scene gave me nightmares for more than 20 years. I just got the guts to rewatch it
@@dianahussain5066 In the Book, she hobbled him-cut his foot off. Yes.
@@dianahussain5066did you read the book?
I just got the book now, a few days after watching it. I got the hardcover with The Shining, Carrie and Misery in together. And it's about 32 years old. Trying to read the sequel to Dark Tower: The Gunslinger and It. I managed to watch both the IT show and the recent films. Too bad the Dark Tower film was meh. A show with the right cast would be amazing. There will be a new version of The Monkey. And a film based on the book If It Bleeds, that I own.
This scene gives me chills, every movie that kathy makes I still remember this sledgehammer
Wikipedia says James Caan was offered the part after every of the big name actors of the day turned it down...I wonder if that made him feel weird, like 'Well we can't get a big star, so will you do it ?' But he had the last laugh, the film was a hit
Masterful scene. Rest in Peace.
Every time those violins kick in it feels like Jason is about to show up. I love this movie but it's tough to unsee it now lol.
Kathy Bates.. is incredible
R.I.P Mr Caan!
Imagine having the perfect plan.
And then you fall asleep, and that plan is ruined.
Like forgetting to save your game 🎮😵💫🙈
Aaaaaahhhh ! Boy , this scene hurts just by watching it ! I've read the book before seeing the movie adaptation and both are great ! The book wins , of course ... But seeing Kathy Bates in this is such an amazing experience ! She DID deserve her Oscar ! Watch the movie , just don't forget to read the book too , ok ? See ya !
People who read always say the book wins hahaha. Its almost like this way of saying im better then you because i read. The movie is 99% of the time always better.
@@davidfalensbirth2031not really! Sometimes the movie IS better, kinda like buick 8 and christine, but most of the time the book is defenitely better
@davidfalensbirth2031 Huh? I would agree that some people like to play an superiority game. But what world do you live in? I'd argue 99% of the people would say that the book is always better! With a few exceptions, yes. But almost everyone who has read any famous book to movie adaptation prefers the books over the movies.
@@davidfalensbirth2031 you have to be trolling
🤣 the very last thing we hear him say is “anne please!” And then it cuts 😂
James Caan said he hated the part coz he was always lying in Bed almost through the movie.. So happy for Miss Bates who won the Oscar female actress
how come every steven king book turns into an incredible film. the Shawshank redemption is probably the greatest film of all time. the shining is the scariest film of all time. then we come to misery, Cathy bates definitely deserved the oscar, and she lightly got it. this film is amazing
The shining was a terrible movie carrie too
@@jamesmcarthur6945 you should watch my version of misery type in atuanya misery
Oh, this scene... The music... 👌🏼
They always say it's for the best and then here it comes thanks folks for sharing
I have only watched this movie once and read the book once. There is really only one word that describes this: "OW!"
masterpiece.
This movie is awesome and this scene always stuck with me paul tied up knowing what's about to happen and there's nothing he can do james caan did his thing ( rip) and kathy bates was phenomenal

Best movie ever
Brilliant movie 🎥🎥 RIP James Caan 🙏🙏
Here is it
I can’t wait to go back to the movies :( I want to see matrix 4 and avatar2 so bad :(((( at least theaters are finally opening back up ... all these straight to stream movies are pretty much garbage; so sad that the industry will die without theaters and these production companies don’t even fight for the films or even think about the future of the industry (it isn’t streaming, when films get set to stream people just download them and the movie makes so little cash)... so sad. We miss movies like this MGM :/
これは本当に怖かったなぁ!
Well, his character in this movie makes up for the character that he played in “honeymoon in Vegas“, so you don’t feel so sorry for him.
is THIS 'the never-ending story'??????
30 YEARS LATER........
Boa noite, um maravilhoso filme, dos bons. Adorei o vídeo.
But wasn't it a axe in the books
Deep Drama. 😹
OMG SHOW IT
Great actress ❤❤ We hope she could play one of those trump supporters. 👍🏻
Yes Guys That Movie Is Crazy
Fun fact: this hobbling thing never happened in real life.
Why does she place a block of wood between his feet?
To swing both of his feet off his body

@@abhilaypeddi7298 That wasn’t a joke. Why is it funny?
To keep it all sturdy ofcourse.
I bought this movie in Walmart five dollar bin. So why isn’t it free here??? What a shame this is.
