- All Easter Eggs, secrets and some references found in Mad Max the game (PC). Many references are from Mad Max movie series such as Dinki-Di dog food, Rig War the truck, lost tribe / plane, humongous chief (razor cola) v8 engine etc. Plus few extra easter eggs such as Just Cause 4, Half Life 3, Christmas tree, Airplane! (don't call him Shirley), Hitman codename 47 and rubber duck, Skyrim (I took an arrow to the knee), Tomb Raider Lara Croft, Dying Light, Shadow of the Colossus and even a lighting formed in shape of Australian map which is where Mad Max universe is located.

I think the main problem it has is that George Miller did not have anything to do with this game, and it is considered non-cannon by many for that reason

Jay Bisky RetroSnow must be high. The main con of the game is that collecting scrap/project parts and clearing settlements becomes very very repetitive.
The creator didnt have any input Into the game as Warner cut him off from it and then they used basically a shit load of props and storyboards of mad Max from many different places and times. For example a lot of the cars modeled was from when the fury road cars were in Australia before being upgraded when it went to Africa. Also spoilers
Maby its just me but also that ending was just so brutal.the whole games character building through girsha and such basically went down the drain in 2 missions
I am currently at 60+ hours right now and trying to get the platinum,i like the game but its pretty boring
What an interesting little game. You don't quite feel the feeling of emptiness until you complete the main story. The last thing I did after doing so was collect all the history relics.
Also, in the dunes region, there's a house buried under the sand that you can access through a drop down into a tunnel where a buzzard dug his way into the house. He is laying dead on a bed on the second floor, and on the bottom floor in the kitchen there are refrigerator letter magnets saying "I miss my friends", most likely the work of a child.
The presence of the buzzard corpse and the fact that he knew where the house was leads me to believe that he possibly was the father of the child before... Well, the everything happened, lol. Just a little something I'd like to share with everyone
Loved the house environ. The sunny wallpaper in the kid's room, the magnets on the fridge... I wondered what the backstory could be on this one. There's an adult corpse in the bath tub, most likely suicide. One of the parents? I like your idea that the dead Buzzard could be a family member.
I can't believe this game was 20$, let alone free.. It's amazing I don't want it to end.. Absolutely amazing

So sad that this game didn't seem to do as well as it could have, commercially speaking. The reviews make this game sound bad but it's so much fun! I'm nearing the end and loving it still. Going for 100%. I still if you're a fan of Mad Max or post-apocalyptic settings then this is definitely for you! I personally haven't seen all the films but I've seen the first and the last one. I also LOVE post-apocalyptic settings. If you don't, it's still a solid game. I love the sound design, artwork and the atmosphere.

This is a game where majority of the people who played it enjoyed it. They recognized the flaws of it's repetitive nature & yet is willing to forgive its shortcomings, cause of what little is given to us is done so well. I chose to indulged myself in the world of Mad Max & feeling like a Badass!

One thing I noticed after playing this game countless times is that after you scout the base at the very beginning of the game if you look at the top of the rocks you just came from you can see Griffa standing there and then walking out of frame. A subtle detail but cool to find after all this time.
How about the thunderdome itself, with the quote 'two man enter, one man leaves' when fighting your fighter after the big gastown race?

Not much, if you wait for the storm and drive into the big nothing you won’t die, I drove for hours trying to find the pink eye vessel but didn’t find anything, on the northeast you find the convoy route from the last mission, on southeast you can find the main menu with the truck, near that I found an airplane buried but the storm came back and I died, also if anyone wanna try to get to the big nothing, if you try to go back to the playable area you will die from the storm, it sucks because there are things around the map that I can’t get close enough

There is an engine available called th Humungus V8, it is the name of max’s nemesis on the second movie
His mask is also available as a hood ornament. The description basically summarises the movie.
Missed a couple. Chumbucket’s face was Mad Max’s Halloween mask in the first film. Also, the airport entrance looks like the Thunderdome.
You can find a history relic way off in a corner of the map and it'll be an old ad for "Mad Max" driving tours and when picked up Max sounds confused.

I genuinely don’t know why this game had so many bad reviews, the combat, story, and (especially) the driving and customization were all very fun. This is a game that definitely deserved a sequel.
You can also find the main menu in the big nothing, also the final boss fight with scrodum takes place in a custom generated environment in the big nothing

I'd add that there is also a Conan reference, when Max sits on the Deep Friar's throne of flames.
Some may consider that a GOT shtick, but for me it is undeniably Conan (the original, of course),
all the way. On the other note, the game does one really neat trick (which i didn't realize at first):
you absolutely DON'T need to go full-on OCD and scavenge all the crap/scrap. Neither you have
to learn the challenges and complete them to raise your legend status. Cause the best and the
most massive sources of scrap are: storm, cleared ally camps and scrapulence vehicles (early on)
in that order. You can drive around just for mayhem and sight-seeing. Legend status raises
inevitably through main and optional objectives, to something like Road Warrior level 87 at the end
of the game, if you clear the map's threats. Great game. Dark ending. Still, much better than Rage-2...
I went up to level 124 Road Warrior. I don't think there's a cap.

I am surprized that nobody actually talked about the fact that more than a half from this easter eggs can be seen in missions
The "Shirley" part caught me off guard on my playthrough, I'm glad it's here, I could have sword Max said "don't call me Shirley", I guess it was Chum.
I think eating the lizard is also a fury road reference as the moment we see max in person after his narration he steps on kills and eats a lizard just before attempting to flee from the war boys
What if things that appear on the dunes are Max’s hallucinations while descending into madness?

Plushman1YT if you're considering buying it, it is very repetitive. But, the farther into the game you get, the better your car is, the more fun the game gets. I would recommend it, personally.
it's a very good game not GREAT but pretty damn good you can tell that effort has been put in to it and I would advise getting and yes it does get reptitive the storyline is pretty good and lots of fun to do after

Plushman1YT A lot of it is doing the same things but with different dialogues, I would’ve added side quests that involved doing some puzzle or whatever but not using “go to x, scavenge, return”.
I got it for free but I think I wouldn’t have bought it if it costed more than $20, entertaining overall for that maxing the character as well as camps, cars and other shit, i have 3 days in game

Great game, I picked this up 2 weeks ago, was thinking of just finishing the main story but ended up doing all the activities. However this game engages people by placing stuff in ridiculous places.
There's something I noticed that I found odd in this game. One of the wasteland missions titled "torches" or something. You had retrieve some kind of beacon for Deep Friah. After you defeat the enemies, there are two fire blasts covering a wall with red Xs on it as if there is something hidden there. And there is someone on the otherside of the wall with a chainsaw being roved up. But I can't break wall.
I spent like about an hour and a half trying to get my car in there to see if I needed a certain tool to break the wall, but there are invisible barriers blocking the car from every angle imaginable. I eventually died from jumping off a cliff and went over to the nearest outpost south of it and got a thunderpoon. I ran all the way back to the camp and when I returned the red Xs on the wall were gone. No more chainsaw noise and the throne that was against the wall vanished. When I launched the thunderpoon at the wall where the red X was the explosion occured on the otherside of it.
I'm betting there's an easter egg that you can only do in that mission. There's also multiple zipline points that cannot be reached above the area. I even tried using the freeze cam to glitch through wall but no holes or cracks sadly.
Anyone know anything about this?

The big nothing is really well detailed, despite the fact nobody is ever supposed to see 95% of it. There’s some cool stuff out there, such as roaming war parties, and giant dried lake beds, miles across.
@@luckyfrost722 yeah, encountered them in the south part of the map, a ways east from the pretty well known dev area that has all of the random structures.

Or they be in the most heavily defended and largest convoy in the game. Maybe its course could have been from has town and past every Top Dog encampment. Kinda like a Minor boss battle that you could do before or after killing Scrotous and the land mover

Replaying this again in October 2023 and it's just as fun as it was when I first played it. So much to do and so expansive. I love it. Very underrated game.
You forgot an Easter egg: the game and the entire theme of this game is a lot like this one movie franchise: Mad Max, the title and main character even have the same name!

Yes he does to answer your question. Even when you beat the game, you get chumbucket to go around with you. The game just ignores that certain NPCs have things happen to them in the end of the game so you can keep running around collecting things and finishing anything you didn't up.

I don't know if anyone saw it before me, but I just discovered it, at the very beginning of the game after meeting chumbuket and he shows us where to take the interceptor and then we use the binoculars to see where is the sanctuary, after the cutscene if you look behind you towards the "mountain"
(located just behind the small destroyed wreck near the buggy) at the top we can see that we were being observed.
This is still one of my favorite games

This game is so odd, I remember somewhere at the top left in gutgashs territory there is a little gate guarded by roadkill i think. When i found it i searched for ten minutes how to open it, i couldnt so i left, but i remembered the gate. when i finally got to pink eye i went to check it out from that side and there was a valve there to open the little gate which could just fit my car in there. I remember thinking it may be a mission location but it was not (not even side mission or one of the random encounters).

That's not a "Tomb Raider" Reference. It's a reference to the "Nightrider" from the first film.
I see it more like a Tomb Raider reference, because the Demented Chariot belonged to someone else within the Mad Max universe.
It is the only tomb in the game and the phrase "tomb of the rider" is too close to "tomb raider" to be a coincidence.
There is nothing that ties the Nightrider to this vehicle, aside from the word "rider" and the fact that he was in a biker gang. They would've included some part of his "fuel injected su¡cide machine" speech.
@ it’s actually neither. I learned later it’s Dementus’ tomb and chariot. There’s a mural in the tomb illustrating his whole story. Nothing to do with the NightRider or Tomb Raider.

I think the most subtle Easter egg is the game's location, which I believe is Sydney.
The Great White is Botany Bay with all the lighthouses from Sydney Harbour; the broken terrain and canyons in Gutgash's territory is the area of the Georges River; the Dead Barrens would be the city north of the Georges. Even the airport is in the same basic location (although the architecture doesn't match).
There is an Easter egg in the description of the Interceptor: "a machine with a thousand lives" because after it was destroyed in The Road Warrior it appears in Thunderdome, Fury Road, and again in the game

I've already completed the game but I'm still playing it.
The story was short because it wasn't the main focus. Focusing on clearing up places filled with scrotus enemies, buzzards and more. Developing your car and you character was the main focus. The story just adds a little context. It's like classic video games. There's little to no stories but what you've been given is enough to make you intrigued through the whole game. The combat was superb. there're hints throughout the game of how all of this started. It's not just an empty game

I found also a reference to JAWS! If you go to south-east of Gastown region, right where it borders the Dunes, there should be a sort of "beach guard" stand (a ladder and atop a sofa). If you climb it and look through the binoculars at the pyramid-shaped structure nearby a metallic fin appears, surfing the muddy waters! From time to time it will jump out of the water and it's a sort of small robot. I was not able to chase it by car though, it's kinda fast and you get stuck in the mud. Just discovered this after playing the game for years and maxing it 100%!

Maybe this is a reach but did anyone else hear the tune of The Man Who Sold the World when Max is doing the mission of turning the gas off? They also used the song in the trailer for Furiosa so I thought it was all connected.

Scott Pilgrym too much of the same things over and over. Becomes tiresome, hence why I didn’t want to 100% it, because it was becoming boring. Main quests etc are good, but post story you are left with the repetitive side-missions / fillers.
