I visited Estonia over the summer and it was so beautiful! I loved it. Every time I see something that reminds me of Estonia, I want to go back so badly.
It is indeed and soooo colorful!
It's because of people like you that I love Estonia.
Yeey, sa oled tagasi! Ma hakkasin eesti keelt õppima sinuga esimest korda paar aastat tagasi, ja sain B1 taseme hiljuti. Aitäh kõige eest ja tere tulemast tagasi! :)
Ja ma tahaksin slängidega seoses rohkem teada kui võimalik.
OOOOOOO!!!!! Palju Õnne!!!
"a plural version of YOU" - as fas as I know, YOU is already a plural version. This is a formal word when you speak to someone who is older or has a higher positon etc. There was a word for "sina" in English, but nowadays there's no use of it anymore...
Thank you for your lessons, I always watch them just for pleasure:) This summer I went to Tallinn and liked it so very much! My 1st visit to Tallinn has happened many years ago, and I always knew that I love Estonia :)
oh really, thank you :D I never knew that.
You should add an annotation to your video. The word "you" is both singular and plural.
Technically it is plurul, but I don't think I would use purely the word "you" in most conversations as a plurul. At least here in Australia, we would say "you all" or "you guys", something like that.
Thank you! i've added the annotation to the video as well :D
Nerian you definitely can say "you" in plural to a single person - as you do in French or in Russian language.
Thank you so much for your dedication to making these videos. Even though you're not getting a ton of views on them. You deserve a lot more subs. They're isnt any other videos that go in depth as you do. And as a Native English speaker Its more than difficult for me to get the hang of it, hopefully in a few years i'll be able to speak fluently. Just wondering by the way what are you studing in Korea and I personally would like some videos about life, culture, norms etc in Estonia.
Thank you very much for these videos.
I am actually studying in the UK, i just did a year abroad in South Korea :) and thank you so much for the kind words. They mean a lot to me!
Thank you for the lesson! Although it is understood that the difference between short and long versions is hard to grasp, I think that would be cool if you could add some example sentences where each version sounds more natural.
I understand the importance of not overloading one video with too much information, just giving my very own subjective feedback.
Cheers
Hard to describe the difference. Using the samples she used - "Kas te soovite kohvi?" vs "Kas teie soovite kohvi?" The first one is more neutral while the other is more inquisitive, maybe even slightly agressive in some contexts.
Tere, Minu nimi on, Arturo. Ja...Ima speak in my native California tongue. I'm in Estonia, Haapsalu now but going to Tallinn, next week. I really would like to join you for a video, and yea, I'm trying to learn this crazy hard language. please let me know if your willing to consider talking to me, and as a learner...with such a large communication barrier, I think I could give you some insight on new video ideas
I love these lessons! Can you do a video about how to order food in a restaurant, or drinks in a bar please? also how to get bus/train tickets - single or return journey etc. I have been to Estonia lots and going again in January. I'd love to be more confident in speaking the language! thank you so much!!

Hello professor Liisa! ^^
is there any latest video for learning estonian?
Tänan!! 😍👍 I'm Thai. Then my friend asked me "Why do you learn Estonian? Are you crazy? Why don't you learn Chinese, Japanese or German?" haha
So I answered him that "Because anyone doesn't think to learn this language. So I will look cool when I can speak baltic language or slavic language. 😎😎 (However, I'm still learning Chinese, Japanese, and German. 😆😆) Olgu nii!! Olgu nii!!
Tere orav! Miks minevik rohkem viisakas ('sooviksite')? Sinu silmad jätku punane ('still red'). Not well yet? Prognosis? Parim soove sinu terveks ('for health'?) :)
Hola Miss Squirrel! Would you mind telling me/us about some national books of poetry/short stories that can be red by begginers? Gracias!
I have uploaded a video about how to get estonian books for free or how to buy them.
Then I´m really sorry I didn't see it! Sorry for wasting your time teacher
no no no, don't worry :D not wasting my time :D it's under as estonian segment :)
Growing up bilingual. I always found it strange to ask people if "They would like Coffee". Although I was instructed by my parents to address strangers as such.
I never really thought of it that way, in my head teie was always divided into two meanings. A lot of words in Estonian have two meanings so i guess it was natural. But I do see what you mean :D
Funny language
Pronouns are important. I had forgotten the plural ones.
I'm glad I could help you to remind the plural ones ;)
Hey Squirrel, If a fat guy grabs you and puts you in a bag... dont freak out, I told santa I wanted you for christmas.
Were your eyes always that much reddish in the past?
combination of my eye accident and the long hours behind computer studying or editing :)
