This was what I in my naivety believed the human rights declaration was and therefore in frustration couldn’t understand why no politicians obviously even know its contents. Hopefully all governments that do not adhere to it to the letter should not be allowed in UN.

Hello, Dr. Sachs...I feel as if I know you by now, as my comments are often highlighted.
Having seen an older documentary film about the failure of Oslo, and Rabin''s
obviously revenge assassination. The majority of his career was serving in the IDF, and a very competent General he was (Six day War, etc.) before entering politics.
His evolution, and knowledge of the futility of the endless hatred and bloodshed, made a quest for peace his final mission. The video that captured some of the ugliest violence during Far-right party protest, stalking outside his home chanting prayers from Torah for his death, become a call to end him.
The handshake with Arafat sealed his fate, and Netanyahu at his heels, accelerated the tragic end of him, as well as the peace process. As we witness Israel's flouting of International Law, the impotence of Institutions like the UN and ICC, and Government inertia makes me question how you can possibly believe that hope exists.
Really? Not a scintilla of political will.

Before you an give 'rights' to peoples to make them equal you will have to remove them from those that have made sure they have all the rights in disproportionate amounts. Good luck with that.

It's easy NATO style multi national forces under UN charter and the power of sanction.

Why there’s silence twelve Arab families controlling the natural resources of Haiti? They should learn honor and respect to Africa and Caribbean countries before they talk about peace
