I don't wear dresses at the moment, and it's been a few years. My gender had a wobble and now I don't feel like myself in dresses at all! Still mastering the art of the crotch so I can have some nice trousers.
I love the idea of wearing a dress but hate how I look in them. I’m a woven top and jeans/trousers kind of girl. I’ve just attempted my first pair of trousers with a fly zipper (Peppermint Magazine Wide Leg Pants) but seem to have a pucker/pleat below the fly and I can’t figure out what I’ve done wrong or how to fix it (all advice greatly appreciated 😂) Other than that I can’t believe how good they feel on compared to shop bought 😁
I'm very unlikely to wear a dress. I like them on other people but I just don't have the lifestyle for dresses. The nearest I've got lately is a skirt (McCalls M7022 View F). It's got a great swish but it does get in the way when I'm sitting in the car.
Hi Christine and Steph, brave destash gals. I hope the destash goes well and you feel freer and good at the end of it. Christine, I wanted to thank you for a previous video where you shared the trick of laying your tissue pocket piece over the part of the garment where it was to be placed and tracing the pattern to match up. Brilliant. I used it to trace off a kangaroo pocket on a floor-length long sleeveless dress to wear with tops (we call those jumpers here in the states, but I know that's a sweater in your neck of the woods). The one I made is reversible, so I put the kangaroo pocket on the floral print side and did side seam pockets on the terracotta plain color side. Thanks again and happy destashing, Antonia
Hello ladies! You're very lucky to have a built-in audience to see what you are going to de-stash. My Stash is a bit out of control as well and I have no idea how to sell some of mine. As I say this, I'm wondering how much postage would be from you to NY! 😆 I do love some of the fabrics you shared.
I'm with you Denise, I hate dresses! I doubt I've worn one more than a dozen times in the last 20yrs, and those occasions were all posh dos. Now I'm retired I'm even less likely to wear one
@@janechadwick2635 yes, that’s me too … had to wear one to formal ‘do’ last week and I felt like a cornered rat, especially when ppl comment on how rarely they see me in a dress etc 😠

So lovely to see you both again! Lovely fabrics, ladies. I've been tidying my stash too. Not quite at the destash point but need to get some bits sewn sooner rather than later! Xxx

That sheet black first would make a beautiful Songbird duster like the one I saw on Ripper Seams recently. It's the first thing that came to mind.

You’re absolutely right ..if it’s not for you then destash but it’s just so so hard ( I’ve fabric under the beds / in cupboards and the garage )
