TIP**** When sewing pleather use "needle Lube" It will save you ripping your hair out. I once had a Drag Queen working for me at the fabric store and she said she swore by it when sewing pleather.
Don’t hate me Christine, but I’m the type that decides on sewing a garment and takes each step until it’s finished. I couldn’t bear to have unfinished wips. Your embroidered wall hanging is outstanding. Full of great techniques and interest. It will look great on your wall.
Love Notions has a featured $5.00 pattern on most Fridays. They are having a sale now and patterns are 30% off. You can get a bigger discount using a special code from a LN ambassador. Looking forward to the sew along. The first or third dresses are my picks.
Looking forward to your WIP'S. When you are sick of the wall hanging let me know, yes I realize I won't hear from you. Amazing! Vote for Season's of East
Hello Christine, I would vote for the summer in New York dress. Love your jacket and wall hanging is amazing. Well done, and good luck with your wips. Thank you, your vlogs are always so entertaining.
Love your wall hanging. It’s beautiful. You will be able to whizz through quite some of your wipes as you have virtually finished them. Your jacket and trousers are going to look amazing x
Hi Christine, no shame in having WIPS. I tend towards bouts of cutting stuff out, my way of committing pattern to fabric, sort by color, and start in. Once I start a project, I don’t leave it unless I’ve got a dress or skirt that needs to hang. Currently obsessed with Bob pants, made them in a wool jersey, very nice! Take care.
Hi Christine, thank you for showing us you WIPS. Look forward to seeing them made up. Your wall hanging, it just fab, lovely colours. Happy New Year xx
Great vlog as always I would say possibly the more time you have to sew the more wips you might have. I love sewing but work full time and try and sew in my spare time and have one item for summer in a project bag I didn’t get around to in the summer. I hate unfinished sews so am impressed at you tackling all those well done loved your embroidery hanging it’s beautiful so often we only use a very small amount of what our machines can do. I have just bought the plateau joggers pattern too. I have Babylock Enlighten so am looking forward to seeing how you do with the piping I too only use it for overlocking ❤❤
Hi Christine: I vote for the summer in New York dress!! Love all your makes-glad you made something using your embroidery machine-when I first got mine 20 years ago, I dove right in, I couldn't wait for a class!! LOL!! I did take one later on, more for fun. Isn't it great!!?? Your need to model your jacket and trousers together for us. :+)
Hi Christine I vote for the Seasons of East please. Hope you get some of your WIPS done! Maybe black snaps on the double gauze shirt dress. That would be great around the house.😎🌴☀️Liz from South Florida.
😊hi Christine. Wonderful to see you because you inspire me. I put your vlog on and go to my happy place . Love the outfit you are wearing particularly the fabric I want to be part of the course and just hope I can manage to keep up with the others. My choice for the course is. Summer in New York I would suggest for your box of shame you decide on the day you are going to sew then look at them all ,and one will pop out
Is it me or is it only a few months since you sat in your chair with your gorgeous dog going through WIPs. Did you finish all those? I only have one WIP and it is a quilt-I will finish it but quilting is not for me. Please don’t be ashamed - you get an incredible amount done and are so creative. Your wall hanging is fabulous 😍😍. I love the trousers and love Merchant and Mills patterns and instructions. My vote is for Seasons of East. Happy Sewing😊. Lynne
Hi Christine, your going to be a very busy girl. I’ve made the Love Notions Clef Jacket twice, they came together beautifully. One is in a cotton canvas that is lined with bamboo knit fabric, with the buttons front. That’s warm enough for our Aussie winter. The other is a French terry with a zip. I didn’t do the hood, as I’m not keen on them. By the way Love Notions have $5 patterns every Friday. I’ve made quite a few of them and find they fit me well. Happy sewing.🧵🪡🇦🇺
@ Hi Christine, not sure, although I don’t see why not. If you contact the girls at Love Notions they’ll keep you right. I’ve found them to be very helpful when I’m not sure about something, and they are very quick to reply. Good luck.
Thank you for showing us your wips. It’s a great range of winter & summer outfits. The wall hanging is amazing. Excellent work. The velvet trousers look excellent also.

I like the Summer in New York dress to learn about a side zip conceal, sounds good. A happy new year to you, en joyed your vlog and await to hear how you get on with your wips x
Hi Christine, dive in with those extra feet that you’ve got - have a play you can use the piping for for zip insertion as well. I’m heading down to Babylock this week for the first course that I want to do at the Babylock Academy as part of my brand ambassador roll. If you need any help let me know. The courses look really good one of my next vlogs early next week will be about it x
Hi Alison, going to play around with the piping feet tomorrow. Babylock Academy sounds interesting and as I watch all your vlogs I'm sure I won't miss you vlog.xxx
Fabulous wall hanging Christine and love the trousers and jacket. I often cut out a number of projects at once whilst watching a film, so have a number of WIPs and some alterations which I plan to finish in January before I start anything else. I’ve even put a weekly to do list in my diary as I am so keen to get these out of the project pile!🤞🤞
Love your video mmmm lots to think about i rarely have wips like to finish each make wow to the wall hanging looks amazing i vote for the tulip dress happy new year 🎉🎉🎉😊😊
Happy New Year Christine. I finished a pinafore dress yesterday that I cut out about 3 years ago. I have more experience now and fully lined it as it's a heavy corduroy, very pleased with it. I bought a new Juki overlocker last week from Franklin's and have booked a course to understand everything it does, have to wait until end of February but I have some knit fabric to make some tops with to keep me going. Love your embroidery, very clever x
@@The_Gemini_StitcherI have made the Celeste dress from Itch to Stitch. I've made it before in a linen mix, it's my favourite dress I've made. This time without the sleeves.
I vote for the Seasons of East dress. I have wanted to make it in a woven fabric for ages but have been put off the idea because of the side , under arm zip.( I attempted one before in a different dress.........made a right " pigs ear " of it 😫
What a fabulous wall hanging! I think the Seasons of east dress is my favourite. I only have 1 wip. A Zalia topthat I cut out just as the weather changed, but I'll need an applique to cover a small hole I discovered after it was cut out.
Nice wips. All lovely dresses to choose from. I would say the summer in new York dress but I dont qualify as a beginner. By the way, love notions have a friday pattern sale every week. And this week there is a sale on for the whole site. I do have a few of their patterns.
Wall hanging is amazing. I don't have wips but I do have things I am never going to finish because they look awful on me. But I don't know what to do with them. The local charity shop ships unwanted clothes overseas.
Thanks Christine, that was great as usual. I have several WIPs and they are all unfinished because of fit issues. I'm only 5ft tall and have trouble working out where to shorten dresses including the Seasons of East which is the one I'm voting for.
I have a sewing day with my friend tomorrow. Instead of cutting out new garments, maybe I will work on a few WIPs; I have a fair few 🙂I have the Clef jacket pattern and it's in my plans. Love notions have a reduced price pattern EVERY Friday! Bargains. Love your Dandelions Jacket. I want to make myself a bomber jacket this year plus make the five items on my Make Nine for 2024 that didn't get made.
Great video, your wall hanging is fabulous 🤩. I have 3 Wips, a bag, 2 cushions and a top but 5 cut outs including an Ilford jacket , 2 Stylearcs, 2 Tilly and the Buttons patterns, shame on me 😮 I have a butterfly brain and a very cold sewing room, so that’s my excuse 😂 I would love you to do the Jersey dress, mostly because I ordered the pattern over Christmas, I saw your beautiful version and couldn’t resist.
First of all, a very happy new year to you. I often listen and watch you and totally love your channel. I am so glad that you are going ahead with your tutorials and would like to vote for the tulip dress pattern.I loved this dress when you first showed it in the Summer made with the beautiful Tula Pink fabric. I have never owned an overlocker but am very tempted with the Baby Lock Victory so would be very interested if you in the future showed us some demonstration on the ease of use. Happy sewing , Ann.
Happy new year to you too. You need to subscribe to @sewlikedotty Alison is the Babylock Ambassador and is doing some vlogs on their machines shortly xxx
I think all your recent makes are fantastic especially the jacket with the leather buttons and the M&M trousers. I would love to make those trousers myself. Do you think they are a bit advanced for your new series? I would like to suggest S-9272 (Simplicity). It’s a 3 piece casual wardrobe builder designed for knits/active wear. I have made 2 of the cardigans, and I just put poppers on mine instead of buttons. Super beginner friendly and great mix and matching opportunities. I think I’m going to use it as the basis for a travel wardrobe. I vote for The Jersey Dress by My Handmade Wardrobe.
I sew along with having a full time job and chronic fatigue so shame is totally useless for me. Instead I have project management. A bunch of things from my 2024 plans weren't done in 2024, and that's fine. Having shirts precut to grab and work on is nice when I have shirt levels of energy. I have to be realistic that a shirt will be the best part of a month. I only have one wip at complete UFO risk, so that one I just have to live with.

@ great idea
In view of current weather I’d make the toaster sweater as well as the joggers before doing anything else……. Anyway the tulip dress.
Yes good plan tackling the joggers today 💪
My vote's for the summer in new york dress.
Good choice xxx
