That tin portrait is very similar if not the same as a picture Rachel from Stitched Up has in her home. Nice find on the fabrics. 😊

Hi Christine, great vlog as always. Everytime you mention the Tulip Dress I always means to tell you about a pattern I have. Today I remembered, its the Cocoon Dress by Simple Sew. It's the same shape as the. Tulip Dress. See you soon

Awesome, I cannot wait to see it. Staying tuned. ☑The jacket will look amazing, maybe you won't need it as long as the pattern is drafted for ( sorry no offence I'm 5 foot nothing) Have an awesome one

There are at least three Boyes in Nottinghamshire within 20 miles of my home and one that I know of just over the border into Lincolnshire. After a mention of Boyes on a vlog last week I went to see what there was in my local one. I bought some lovely Broderie Anglais ans also a dress length of 😅Ecovero Viscose. There was some Lady McIlroy but not in colours which suit me. Your holiday in Harrogate sounds really good. It is my favourite place to go.

I’m like you, I don’t like cutting up something that’s perfectly wearable from a charity shop! I tend to look in their discounted section as that’s mainly things that have hung around for ages and not sold so that doesn’t feel as bad

Lovely update Christine, and your description and pictures of the Quinns made me want to make them too. My sewing plans for this fall are to get more comfortable making pants for myself. I'm only 5'2 1/2" and I always seem to have issues with the crotch being way too low and the waist being way too high. Any tips on how to not have the waistband practically under my 'girls' would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all of your work on these vlogs!

@@ritaadler-everett5392 ok get a length of string or wool, thread it between your legs and line up with where you want your waist to be and crotch comfy the cut the length off. Now line it up on the front and back pattern crotch pieces and see how much string is left. Divide this by 2 and this is how much to shorten the crotch front and back above the curve. Hope this helps xxx

Hi Christine why don’t you put elastic in the waist seam of your dress but not all the way around, just do it on the side fronts and across the back leaving the front more flat. I’ve doe it before and it is just a little more fitted than ties.
