Xavi C, my mum makes it like your mum does, and she grate the coconut on a box grater then she grinds it on a seal (spelling), you know the big iron stone so the coconut would get very fine. How she does it, it's so delicious.

Should off rosted out the brown skin and if you think it roast too dark all you do is scrape off, but ur version look easier .
We also put curry leaves in ours and bird peppers ....
