Thanks for sharing the experience. Im from Mmadikola village just south of Rakops. Grew up seeing lots of tourist 4x4s passing by going up north, looks like a fun experience. Looking forward to more videos, thanks for the great content
I spent a weekend camping at Khutse Game Reserve some years ago. The Toyota Fortuner D4D was a real beast on the sands. Our trailer had a tyre puncture and it was such a fun experience patching it. I was really terrified at the camp, lighting my torch into the darkness every 5 mins to see if any lions approaching. I wonder how you guys relax in an unfenced camp with hungry lions roaming about :-)
Flippen nice video man! Nice camera & drone work. Nice music also! See you did the Eastern cutline. We did the western cutline of the CKGR a number of years ago & we had a weird experience! Darkness had caught up with us and because we travelled solo we pulled of right next to the road and set up camp Literally just next to the road. No other traffic except for the Botswana Defence Force truck with soldiers, presumably an anti-poaching patrol with a fearsome reputation... Aparrently they first shoot and then ask questions if they suspect anyone of poaching. 🤣 Now let me tell you that it was a very weird and uncomfortable feeling to say the least.. . It was around dusk just after we pulled over. They were driving very very slowly past us, almost walking speed like a meter or two away, guns ready. .. Me and and my wife waved & smiled at them but all of them just looked at us, not waving back, not smiling back & with looks that could kill... It was one of those surreal moments in life! Anyways it is these unexpected moments that makes overlanding awesome! Keep up the good work!
Fantastic channel you have here brother!!! Can i please join you for your next ride, I'm down in JHB South , there's some pretty spectacular and rad untraveled places in Moz
I see the little girl and I think ... yes, we like to see and experience the bush and the wild outdoors, but with a young child, watching their reaction to the surroundings is double the experience. EDIT: Okay it may be double the effort as well, but it compensates with seeing how much young children can also enjoy the wild outdoors.
Absolutely, traveling with two little ones isn’t easy. It’s not always smiles and rainbows that’s for sure! But it’s worth it, and sure beats sitting in front of TV
Thanks very much, I’m French originally from Senegal. I now live in Botswana after spending 10years in South Africa. Our starting point was Gaborone. I carry 150L of diesel on board and we had to refuel in Rakops after the cutline. Burned a lot more than I excepted. Hope it helps. Thanks again for the kind words!
I don't remember in Kilometers. But from the checkpoint turn off, id say about 25-30mins, not far at all. Its on your right hand side if traveling north. Theres a sign, you'll see it. The number is 73 565 228. 80Pula per person cash on arrival, Hope it helps!

Terrific, but what was the Start Town, where you wee fuelling directly before Vultures.
Not attuned to your accent. Sorry.

How far is Kalahari Vultures from Lephephe turn off. In terms of bookings how do one go about?

@@adinothomile1916 absolute pleasure mate!
How much did you pay for accommodation in the ckgr
We stayed at Kalahari Vultures which is on the Cutline so not inside CKGR, I think it was P80 per person
Audio list boss
Can a Standard 4x4 Hilux make it through the cutline?
Absolutely! Enjoy it!
Awesome video… seems like the car handled the deep sand seamlessly… ever got stuck?
Thanks mate, y’a Hilux handled very well to be honest. Didn’t get stuck luckily 🤘🏼

Ain’t you afraid of the animals especially wild dogs. I’ve seen signs warning people to not step out of their vehicles there
We didn’t see much, a few jackals. But we did see elephant and lion tracks closer to matswere gate.
🤣🤣🤣 a track is enough to keep me in the vehicle. Great stuff. Looking forward to the next EP
