I would love to see an updated release of "Flyfishing Strategies for Stillwaters". I've been trying to find a copy but they are hard to find and expensive second hand
went fishing at my local stillwater here in the UKand had 4 fish about 3lb by following your advice fishing what we call segehogs, many thanks and great video.
Not really. Brian describes the larval patterns as being fished close to the bottom, the pupal patterns as being presented in a way that the fly is swimming up through the water on a gradual angle, just like real pupae, and the adult patterns as floating on the surface. this "How to Fish" series is awesome. No one has really broken down this for beginners like this before.
Thanks guys!
I watched the Giant Golden Caddis fly hatch on Cowichan Lake on Vancouver island for a week in February! The trout went nuts for these Caddis!
This is a fabulous series. Well done!

That's great to hear! We're glad you've put the advice to good use :)
Would this be fished under an indicator?

Well for me it's the other way. I follow up with the emerger when they are tired of the Adult fly pattern. : )
