I watched the Giant Golden Caddis fly hatch on Cowichan Lake on Vancouver island for a week in February! The trout went nuts for these Caddis!

I would love to see an updated release of "Flyfishing Strategies for Stillwaters". I've been trying to find a copy but they are hard to find and expensive second hand

Well for me it's the other way. I follow up with the emerger when they are tired of the Adult fly pattern. : )

Would this be fished under an indicator?

Not really. Brian describes the larval patterns as being fished close to the bottom, the pupal patterns as being presented in a way that the fly is swimming up through the water on a gradual angle, just like real pupae, and the adult patterns as floating on the surface. You can read more on Brian's blog on caddisfly fishing techniques: www.gofishbc.com/Blog/Fishing-Tips/Casting-with-Caddisflies.aspx
