The way he popped up after tagging home is even more impressive. That's a big dude there.
People forget that Ohtani is a monster of a human
He’s got strong hamstrings
The added challenge is that third baseman are taught to stand in the line of sight of the base runner’s view of the outfielder catching the ball. The third baseman did this on this play, but Ohtani still got a quick take off from third base…
youever play baseball? its really not as hard as you'd think given you have so much momentum going forward. I'm not tryin to sound pretentious, because to run as fast as he did is whats actually impressive
@@JohnHofheins Ohtani looks like how you imagine yourself looking like when playing baseball. Trust me, you look nothing like this when running home.
You shouldn't be this good of a pitcher, hitter, AND BASE RUNNER! Ohtani is insane!
He's not a real person I think he may be robot or ai I'm not sure no human can do that 🤔 lol 😂 just kidding he's awesome
@@josephharnett5075 ai is the only logical explanation lol
GOATANI
@josephharnett5075 he might not have been doing it either if baseball hadn't made a special rule for him. And he may have been chasing Dave Winfield's records if he had been drafted in the American League instead of the National League. Winfield wanted to continue pitching and hitting after he got drafted , but there was no DH in the National League. No special rules just to showcase his special talent. Only player to ever get drafted by 4 major sports leagues.
He is a Japanese made ai to infiltrate america😂
They are both MONSTERS
Yeah
Yea
They are!!
Agreed, indeed!!!
True
Both player are really good I respect that
At the end of the day that’s what you really want to see as a fan, the best players in the world competing head to head
Well, he cant so...@PriorityFlight
Loool
Judge has become ELITE, but they’re still so far apart. Not really the same player since OHTANI is literally BASEBALL ALIEN and has no comparisons. Closest comparison is just Babe Ruth who played in the dark ages when there was no competition and even black players wasn’t allowed in the MLB back then. It was truly the dark ages. But that’s about it.
That is the most beuatiful and the most gracefull slide i ever saw.
I was about to say that, it's impressive, it may be the difference between him and faster runners
He's the GOAT, can hit run and throw at an elite level
GOATANI
@@cindymmm11he’s talking about judge clearly
@@lukeskywalkermod3686hmmm nope If judge was GOAT then he would be the one with 700 mil in his account
@@CrazyMurica that statement proved ydkb
@@lukeskywalkermod3686there are more than one goat……….
Damn that was a great throw that would’ve gotten 90+% of the runners, just shows how quick shohei is
ohtani's speed is underrated bro can do everything. anw they are both great players.
This is one my favorite moments in the series.
What a time to be alive, glad I get to see these guys play!
One thing's for sure, Ohtani is a must watch every plate appearance.
And they both have good things to say about the other.
Is there anything this guy can't do. What an amazing player. Pitch, hit,Home runs speed Ohtani is the man
Dude used to steal plates more. They limited him so he won't get injured
I mean technically he cannot pitch right now😂
I wish Shohei was pitching,
Judge's Batting Average vs Shohei is 1000.00
But Ohtani refuses to pitch against the yankees, his Career era vs the Yankees is a horrendous 27.00
Ohtani does hit well against the yankees, but the last time he was healthy as a angel, he Requested his manager push off his scheduled start to the next day,
Because he wanted to pad his stats against lesser competition
Yes, he can't field. 😅
@@jeffcaves8740He can
Thank you, Japan, for sending us Ohtani. He might be baseball's all-time GOAT.
Agree. Shotime Shohei
he already is. 51/51. I can’t believe what i saw today. im still in awe.
He’s been in the league 6 years already my guy everyone’s acting like it’s his first year in the league
@@andrewiskb24 How many MVP's does he own?

Two legends 🔥🔥

If guy decided to play football 🏈 he would be a superstar. Crazy skills

He will win a PGA major on a whim after he retires 😂
素早く綺麗で芸術的なスライディング😂
We really need to take a collective breath, slow down and appreciate what we are watching w/ Ohtani. The man is a unicorn. Another might not be here for decades, if not more.
Not in the next 3 LIFETIMES
Ohtanis speed is so underrated. Legit one of the fastest guys in the league. He is literally good at everything 😂
Ohtani is underrated you say? 🤣
🤮
I mean, literally lol.
He’s not even close to one of the fastest guys in the league
@@samcarbone4139hes literally top 10 in Home plate to 1st Base time, and only 1.5 ft/sec off the top sprint speed in the MLB. He is absolutely one of the fastest players in the league.
@@samcarbone4139 He's literally ranked like top 10 or 15 in the league, you're dumb
Doesn’t matter who’s better. We’re living in a Golden Age, let’s enjoy it. Talking to you Yankee fan
Dodgers fan here… well said..
MVP vs MVP
Ohtani hasn't quite broken out of his hitting slump (AVG .310/OPS .947), but he's still doing his thing and making up for it in other ways as usual.
Who asked?
@@Akina_no_Hachirokupublic comment section nerd
@@Akina_no_Hachirokucan you be quiet
you simply cant call a .310 avg a slump. that is a stupidly good batting average
@@gamingfacts1607 thats his overall stats. last 15 games hes hitting .188 and that is a slump
A video that will last the ages and will be shown many times when they’re both in the Hall of Fame.
Precisely, both players with their complementary tools just squaring off.
Witnessing history guys. Hope you all appreciate the time we are living in. We will be telling our grandkids about this man
@ronf28 and your future grandchildren will look at you just like you look at the people who think Ruth is the GOAT. They will say " Ohtani could not even make an MLB team roster with today's superior players." Get ready because it will be coming !
The added challenge is that third baseman are taught to stand in the line of sight of the base runner’s view of the outfielder catching the ball. The third baseman did this on this play, but Ohtani still got a super quick take off from third base…elite
That looks like the perfect slide as well, like textbook!
This truly shows 2 great player competing what a great moment
Two of the best players ever 🎉
Bit premature to say that.
@@OvertheHIL524how?
@@OvertheHIL524how is that? Judge AL homerun record othani babe ruth like number maybe its fair?
@@OvertheHIL524no one cares about yo opinion
Yikes u must be 12 lol
Both are big stars✨ of modern Major League Baseball that are exciting to watch.⚾
No comparison. Ohtani is on another level. Power hitter, ace on the mound, and base stealing speed.
When it comes to hitting Aaron judge is better but the other things I can agree with
I personally like ohtani more but I can't deny how good Judge is
Otahni has a great mental make-up. You can tell the moment is never too big for him. Even keeled.
He is speed
JUDGE. ,CAN'T BE BETTER THAT THE GREAT. MICKEY MANTLE
That crowd gave me goosebumps.
He plays with class! That’s why we love him!!
Love how the tension builds in the crowd.
Real good talent for both Arron and Sho
Bro, who’s here September 19 6 for 6 3 home runs 10 RBIs
So excited.
Judge was playing relatively shallow as well. Shows how fast Ohtani really is.
Judge had a slow release. He took two steps after catching the ball. Harrison Bader makes those steps right before and right as he makes the catch. Judge would have had him, but he could have played that better for sure.
Ohtani was born to be elite
One of my fave highlights of Shohei!
Now they're facing each other in a World Series.
Great time to be alive 🎉
Crazy how fast a japanese pitcher is fr
There are a lot of naturally gifted athletes but i feel ohtani is really NATURALLY gifted we not see a rare Pokémon for a while
He is work every bit of that contract.
The only reason he is worth that amount of money is people are willing to price the average Joe from games.
@@kennethcurtis1856 what do you mean by that? He is a pitcher, hitter, huge as heck and got a bit of speed. Come on.
@@kennethcurtis1856you try hitting an 100 mph fastball
@@kennethcurtis1856 the only reason he's worth that amount of money is because he brings in far more for the team than what they're paying him. Ticket sales, food sales from when fans come to the park, massive advertisement money, international broadcasting rights, and on and on. But sure, the average Joe is priced out of the game... LOL. Ticket prices are higher than league average, but it isn't exactly out of reach. Outside of LA, tickets to watch the Dodgers play the home team start around $15. Inside Dodger stadium it's around $50, but from I've seen everything in LA is stupidly priced.
I didnt believe that Shohei had the speed rating he had in The Show for being such a big guy but after looking it up I was just more impressed by his all around talent
He is fast
Yes he is
Two of the best ever
Best matchup
Two legends are going at it!
Fast for a baseball player in a world of sports filled with real speedsters. Rugby, NFL, League etc! No doubt he's a once in a lifetime player if not the GOAT now
Complete athlete
Ohtani Slide is like came out straight from manual book😂
There both really good still can't believe ohtani made it
Los dos son una leyenda del beisbol😊😊
I was just at that game
That home plate pop up is impressive
Damn he picks up speed FAST. Reminds me of my cats on carpet.
Great series!!
Shohei has the agility of a 5ft7 guy - insane how elastic he is off the line...
That moment is a spectacle.
Are great runner vs a great arm. It was so close.
Judge made a great throw, but it wasn't "check the replay" close.
OHTANI IS A BASEBALL
Only a perfect throw has a chance to get him. Ohtani can do it all.
Respect to him AND Judge’s cannon!
Ohtani was already asking someone at the dog out: “Hand me some chewing gum” by the time the ball arrived at home.
Lol
Otani not only has the pitching and hitting, but also the speed.
Love the way the announcer got ready.
That was a damn good throw
This is the World Series!
So fast. So beautiful ❤
There's no doubt Judge is a good player, but he will always fall short compared to Ohtani in a true comparison. Ohtani is just that insane he makes MVP players look like just another ball player.
Agree
Dude got wheels 👌🏾🔥
I would want to know what would happen if ICHIRO threw it.
nothing would happen. ohtani wouldn't test ichiro's arm. hehehe
Now we're talking. Clemente and a few others.
Yep, I've seen Ichiro throw it so the catcher doesn't need to whip his arm around.
Don't tell me that you are going to say that Ichiro is better than Judge
颯爽と去っていく大谷さん、カッコいい
That ball wasn't deep at all... and it wasn't as close as expected. His speed is so underrated
That throw nails like 99% of players who ever played in MLB. Great showcase of talent with Ohtanis speed and Judge with the rifle arm that's laser guided.
Facts, throw was perfect but speed kills
Yeah was surprised the throw and tag was right on the money. Many players would have been out on that.
Even the cameraman almost lost him 🤣🤣🤣
Bro I love the dodgers 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Love choking in October 😅
@@Coqui-Cariduro we gonna win it all bruh
If the outfielder was Ichiro, that could be a different story.
Ohtani is damn fast for a big dude
Perfect throw, too. Wow.
Two future Hall of Famers going head to head in the same play.
Great throw. Great speed. 😮
Ohtani is on a different level
Two greatest hitters of all time
Ohtani is a great athlete
Worls Series LAD vs NYY. Gonna be seeing Ohtani do this again to Judge
America invented the automobile and Japan made it BETTER with Honda and Toyota. America created baseball and Japan gave us Ohtani.😅😅😅😅the Michael Jordan of baseball!!
This was a good test for the throw from Judge, which is a good one, and the speed of Ohtani, who beats the throw to the plate. I'm concerned about Ohtani's condition in the current slump. He doesn't look right and has not been hitting the way we're used to seeing him perform. Some stories have referred to issues with his back and hamstring (the hamstring obviously hurt him in a recent game when he had to slow up on the bases while running to third, obviously with some pain he had to manage). I'm concerned that he's pushing through something that is clearly affecting his ability at the plate.
Yeah they should have sat him with the hamstring contusion. He was hitting 350-360 avg but slumping badly so injury may have thrown off his mechanics.
@@LL-tc1re I know he's always wanting to play and also hard on himself when he doesn't live up to his own high standards. I hope he gets whatever the problem is resolved soon. He doesn't want to sit, but the way he's swinging at pitches way out of the strike zone is strong evidence that he's not feeling comfortable at the plate.
I think in this case it was Roberts who wants him to play in lineup as I read somewhere he needed him in the lineup and if it was a hamstring strain instead of contusion it would be a different story. Anyway, hoping he finds his swing again and goes off on a monster tear again soon. It’s hard enough to root for players in a game of failure.
@@LL-tc1re I would be a little surprised if this was a case where Roberts was pressuring Ohtani to play. I know that Shohei wants to play if at all possible, and I don't think Roberts would endanger Ohtani's health or their relationship by applying undue pressure. Like you, I hope this gets resolved soon so that Shohei is back to hitting as he does when he's at his best.
No matter how much the coaches teach you to get rid of the ball as soon as you catch it and you do not take it upon yourself to make the adjustment then the runner will always be safe.
Even the cameraman can’t keep up! 😊
Would have been nice to see the camera angle that captures the catch and his jump from the base. To win in drag racing, you need more than a fast car. You need reaction time.
Dude is like, what took you so long? I was getting bored of waiting at the home plate.
We're so close to having the this dream world series
Great job, Ohtani. ~ Dodgers #1 ⚾🧢 😎👍
Very rare that the Judge doesn’t catch you running home.
このシーン、見たかった。ありがとう。
That was a perfect throw by Judge.
Awesome 😎
Good job Ohtani 🥳🥳
Ohtani knows how to slide too. He slides with his right foot away from from the catcher
