Merry Christmas Rich! I never was able to get any PM palettes but I went to check and this pallet is $179 plus taxes CDN. Its nuts. You can buy food, essentials, 5x of every Elf Product, perfumes, so much more that JUST eyeshadow. Two Lucky Bags… are u kidding me? I always wanted a purple and gold from PM. Sigh. I never got any Charlotte Tilbury either but reality, ppl need to put food on the table. Cosmetics sales plummeted and these companies are delusional thinking ppl can keep buying unnecessary luxury.

Maybe PM has her own Travis Scott behind the scenes talking her into a stupid marketing sceme like the Kylie Batman Crap. I feel bug/luxury brands are finally starting to feel the full force of where the economy is. People like me, regular working people, are not spending 150-250$ on collections anymore. We are waiting til they go on sale, or end up at Marshall's. I also think King Jeffree Star spent 4 years showing us all. Elf, wet & wild, NYX, Revolution, Color pop and Indy Brands and just as good "sometimes better" than the extreme cost products.....
I’m not saying her formula isn’t great. But NO make up pallet is worth 100+ dollars! I have always thought her stuff was way too expensive!

Me too, I know how makeup labs and factories work, they can make formulas ten times better then PM’s for cheap prices and high quality with the best materials, they are never expensive. You guys are paying for the NAME not the product itself! I never buy makeup higher than 50$ bc i know how they work, same thing applied to clothes, bags, shoes, even phones, devices and fragrances.

SAME. I bought shiseido moisturizer cream, and it’s honestly Bs. I’ve even purchased La Mer cream in the past. Overrated. You can get much better QUALITY skincare cheaper. Same goes for makeup too. You don’t need a bunch of pallets either. I own about 5 pallets and I’m going to have them probably for a decade (probably not good to keep them that long). It’s takes a long time to actually get through one. Follower this dermatologist (she has a YT) called Dr Dray if your interested in good skincare brands. She’s super super helpful and is not bought.
I love her lipstick colors though. But that’s crazy expensive. And I would be mad if you could pull the cheap sticker off a $126 dollar pallet.

She was cancelled for me back when she sued her second victim brand for no flaming reason. Hot mess express. When you have nothing to sell worth the money you just try and take out the competition. I have a few of her palates & do not mind paying for high end products. But if something is considered high end it should be from top to bottom. Good product & packaging. Star Wars theme is fine but don’t slap a cheap sticker on it.

This sticker situation is el scandalo! We knew the palette wasn’t new but people wanted the limited edition packaging. Her team is slipping. This should have never happened. The Star Wars releases are tacky to me but I hate all collabs like that. This is a luxury brand yet PML has never been 100%. Her shipping has always been messy for the high level experience she is selling. Shipping takes longer and the palette cases arrive torn. How many of us have had to return/exchange our beautiful $128 Mothership palettes over the sloppy care from her shipping department? This sticker situation is major side eye moving forward. Her other problem is the last four Motherships are the same palette basically (hello pink tones) and there’s a reason Bridgerton Two is at Marshall’s right now. It looked exactly like Bridgerton One that we all rushed to buy on release day. What’s going on at Pat MCGrath Labs and the lack of creativity? She does need a new Creative Director.

I agree on the creative and not talking shade cause I own motherships and I really like her brand but either she got greedy or she is working with wrong people. Pat need check on your people seriously.
I really like my Pat pallets but the sticker thing that is Tacky or in bad taste. If you’re desperate to sell a pallet that is not selling just give it a 50% off to break even

Honestly I wouldn't pay for than 100 rands (around 5 dollars).
I would recommend Googling Pat McGrath and the BBB or Pat McGrath and Trust Pilot before placing any orders. I ordered a mothership palette and never received it, about a month and a half ago. I’ve emailed about 20 times with no response from customer service. I dug deeper and came to find out, this happens a lot. I will probably never see my hard earned money again. Buyer beware. Just another piece of evidence that Pat McGrath doesn’t care about her customers.
File a complaint with your bank and you’ll get the money back

You can file a complaint with the state attorney general. Where ever her company headquarters at, you file an online complaint with that state attorney.

I have done that with major companies trying to F with me but found out.

I am actually an attorney and I was toying with potentially going to the federal trade commission or filing a small claims suit but I have to ask myself how much work I want to pile on myself. Yup! I said this on TikTok and UA-cam. I’d love to see what the info is on the batch number…. How old are these palettes???? Her customer service is absolutely appalling too. I bought stuff in their Black Friday… and there’s been no tracking update (says it’s unavailable), no items have been delivered (bought them for a Christmas present), the money is gone and I contacted CS two weeks ago and have heard nothing. Absolutely livid.
That’s weird because I ordered a ton of stuff during her Black Friday sale and received everything before Christmas.

Like the lipsticks but never paid full price. Honestly, my favorite eyeshadows are from colourpop and morphe.
Ever since colourpop came out I couldn’t justify spending more than that. Colourpop is cheap and they have sales. I don’t think a sale cheapens the product/brand.

I have this palette and really love it but I got it for about 80 dollars and even that was pretty high for what it is. IMO none of her palettes are actually worth what they’re priced at, you can get just as good quality pallets for 1/3 the price and it’ll probably come with more shades
But CHANEL and other luxury brands have ALWAYS been super expensive!
I do have to say that when I put on a $40 PMG blush, it’s still on my skin when I get home from work. Her formula and lasting power on the blushes and highlighters are amazing. I can put on a Juvia’s Place blush and it’s gone in four hours.

I totally agree with you. PMG blushes stay on all day! I work ten hour shifts and the blushes don't budge. My issue with her is that now all her color schemes are about rose, and the shipping is terrible! Give me greens, blues, purples. I order PMG from Sephora or Bergdorf!
I have almost all her palettes. This one powders apart and is way drier than anything else she makes. The colors go patchy. That's why they are trying to get rid of it. It's her worst palette, even out of the minis. And it sucks because it's my favorite color scheme!
Edit: and before anyone comes for the way I apply makeup or my brushes, I have Sonia g brushes and I wear three particular palettes of hers almost every day and they are still looking immaculately pressed and have amazing color and blending.

Yeah JS taught us a lot about packaging pricing and what not but his quality of packaging doesn’t come close to PML and yes I have several pallets from both brands.

How is Rich not a Brand Adviser Specialist to big brands I’ll never know! He has really good advice and ideas. People should fighting over who gets to hire him.
I was wondering if the brand was struggling because I don’t remember any of her sales being 40% off previously. I think 20-25% is what the max sale use to be. Maybe 30% if you spent a lot. And the Star Wars edition is on sale just like the rest right now, it’s under $80. I have all the Motherships except for 2. So I have 8 of them. It’s the most I have ever spent on makeup, and I have to say her eyeshadows basically spoiled me. I def purchased every single one of them at some kind of discount. And I think they have went up just a few dollars over the years as I recall them being somewhere between $120-125 previously, compared to other things, they haven’t went up much the last two years. The thin cardboard artwork is absolutely beautiful and I keep each palette in their packaging - heck you wouldn’t be able to tell palettes apart without them because they are all in the same luxe black heavy acrylic. It is very sad that the only change is a sticker but you also get the different outer packaging. The outer packaging is completely new and given all her other packaging on Motherships is only differentiated by the outside artwork I guess I am not too surprised the lid is not really different. I have never bought any of the limited edition packaging but this is most definitely not the first time PM has done limited edition packaging on an existing palette. It’s not even the first Star Wars one. So I’m wondering if these other LE packaging are also stickers. Anyways, if you look at her website, she has the most 5 star reviews I have ever seen on a brand website. I love her blitz or “special shades” and that’s why I never purchased Mothership IV as it is the only Mothership without the traditional 4 special shades. I also haven’t purchased the latest one, but that’s due to $$$. I’m def feeling inflation, and PM was most definitely my biggest splurge on makeup.
Her foundation, concealer, under eye powder and the Bronze V palette is the best make up I have ever bought. Her products melt into your skin.
Ladies, you don't need to buy an expensive palette to look good. If you have good makeup skills, then you can achieve a fabulous look with a lesser brand, IMO.

Colourpop has Star Wars palettes right now so it’s confusing. The avatar palettes are out by NYX too
the reason it doesn't sell is the weird colour story. If you're a regular eyeshadow user you can't get any more than two of the shades to go together really or it just looks muddy. the purple goes with nothing else in the palette. if you're a makeup artist or super creative you might do better, but for most people it's just a difficult palette. there's a reason her most popular palettes are the neutral/pink ones and that's because they're wearable.
And every color is so damn shiny and sparkly. Not every day colors for many people.

I have this palette and it’s actually a lot more wearable then it is upon initial glance. Agreed though, it looks like you can do one look with it but you can do several.
I actually really love this palette, I got it for like £60 though while on sale. It’s a dream palette for those who like the desaturated shadows.

I used to like, and want Pat McGrath makeup, I bought 2 matterance lip sticks, one was $48, the other was $28. First off, you get half the lipstick you would normally get, not saying it isn't lovely, and velvety, but really? $48 dollars for half the amount everyone else gives?? And when I seen the Star Wars line, I thought the same exact thing, she shouldn't of done that, it reminded me of color pop, except 10 times the price..It looks cheap..Pat McGrath should have done mystery boxes to get rid of those palettes. I never cared much for the colors, and the price of her palettes, especially when you can get other luxury makeup brands for way cheaper..She got greedy, and that's gonna be her downfall.

While she tries to sue other makeup brands for using adjectives that describe makeup i.e Devine and fetish, she's lying to her fans by putting stickers on already made palettes that have been on sale for months prior to the launch. And I also hear her shipping/customer service is trash and her launches are launched in sections bc she's having trouble sourcing her materials. Just a bunch of bull to make money that's all she's doing. Unfortunately, bc PMG was such a higher end well known brand name.

I definitely believe you're paying for the brand when it comes to Chanel makeup, I do like Chanel's cream bronzer, but $50 bucks is insane!! I only have a eyeshadow palette and cream bronzer from Chanel...and that's cuz my friend gave it to me, she never used them and they were practically brand new....I don't see the hype with Chanel....that eyeshadow palette was 150 bucks and thr shadows are sooooo small, and it came with sponge tip applicators like they have in cheap dollar tree makeup.....yeahhh...definitely paying for the name
