@@PolygonDivision It was actually also possible before by using emission in the rs toon material with 'opacity affects emission' turned on. only way u could possibly figure that out was the 'Whimsical Orb with Additive Emission' tutorial on cineversity which made even less sense lol.
Great work! I'll take a couple of notes of issues you struggled with. Mainly 1. No draw options after caching the group 2. Out of memory Error and pass them on... Hopefully we can do something about those in the next releases. P.S. for the second issue, try either: 1. Press A(View > Redraw): It triggers a reset of the Simulation Scene which flushes its VRAM usage. 2. if you're on windows, reset your GPU Driver, I think it's Ctrl+Shift+Alt+B
I found that a restart of my machine is the only solution for truly clearing the VRAM with heavy simulations. Not running any other apps or browsers too. I'm sure the particle tools will get much better in the next releases....
I just realized something. Do you work for Maxon? If so I have plenty of feature requests and I things I'd like some attention. I send things via the submission page and I'm not sure if it's going into the void.
@@PolygonDivision Not my department so I don't have info about that, sorry. But of course you can just put your suggestions through the usual social channels, on forums or as a video... someone's bound to be lurking around.
The computer for tutorials is an i7 64gigs with a water cooled 2080 and 1080 and for work I run a dual Xeon CPU with 3 cards, 3080 and two 1080s custom builds.
This is the first time Andrew Kramer has made a public appearance in the last ten years. By the way, does anyone know what he’s up to? He’s completely vanished.
Yes, Andrew has a massive family so I think any free time he has is with his kids. VCP is on the back burner for now and is just maintaining his plugins. I wish he'd get back to recording. I do have a hypothesis, since he's done a lot of VFX work for TV shows, I wonder if he even uses AE anymore, and maybe switched to Nuke for compositing. Just an idea...
Yo this is ❤🔥
Thank you for tutorial. In latest update, redshift has additive particle rendering in incandescent material.
What a stupid location! I read updates and I must have skipped this one. Thanks.

Haha, I know, I ve seen all of his NAB presentations but as you mentioned VCP doesn't seem to be alive.
