    The first 40 seconds of this should be an official Aprilia ad.

    Finally a high quality video of the extrema, very nice! What can you say about the SC-Project? Is it a big upgrade compared to the stock exhaust? Can you hear a noticable difference when riding?

    • @B-LeeRides
      @B-LeeRides  Рік тому +2

      Thanks man! Yeah, so at the dealership I had them start up both bikes side by side to compare. They rev'd them both up and there is a big differnce in sound. The stock one is a whisper compared to this. I love the shift pop at certin RPMs that just sounds high-performance. And the downshift crackle is nice. That being said, it could be a little louder in my opinion when you factor in helmet, ear plugs, and wind noise. But im sure thats all they could get away with, with sound regulations. I like exhaust that is quiet when cruising and comes alive when you open it up, so this is great for me

    • @camp______classified14
      @camp______classified14 Рік тому +2

      I have an extrema.
      The exhaust looks amazing looks an aftermarket.. however it does have a cat.. just smaller built into pipe rather than big ugly heavy box.
      I've done a few upgrades and it sounds way better than the regular 660 even though the exhaust is still stock

    Great Bike! I have the RS660 Extrema as well. I want to get a deeper growl out of the exhaust so I'm not sure if I can gut the bafflers out or if I need to replace it with something else.

      @@1dnr749 I took mine to a shop here in LA. If you pop all of the rivets off of the cone and carefully remove it (don't undo the packing) you can get to where the baffle is welded into the homologated exhaust. If you cut that weld you can remove th baffle and re-rivet the cone back on.

    how are the mirrors at high speeds? that's probably the only thing keeping me from getting this bike, I only hear how shaky and unusable they are

    • @B-LeeRides
      @B-LeeRides  Рік тому +1

      It's actually not the mirrors.. I thought man these mirrors suck. But it's not road vibration. Its actually engine vibration at certain RPMs. It's from the parallel twin. One day I clicked it into 5th and at a low RPM and the mirrors cleared right up. Crystal clear at like 90 +. Under power they go blurry but if you pull in the clutch goes right back to clear. This tells me it would be the same with any mirrors. My research kind of confirms that. Parallel twins are known for vibration. That being said you can't feel any vibration in your hands at all, or anywhere. Feels super smooth. I'm used to it now and I just click it up a gear when I'm trying to see details behind me. Hope that helps.

    Would you recommend the RS 660 to a new rider as their first bike? Price not being an issue.

    • @B-LeeRides
      @B-LeeRides  Рік тому +3

      This is what I said to someone that asked the same question... First ever motorcycle I would say no. It's just an aggressive body position and not the best for getting comfortable with the basics. Something more upright would be better for a first. And might be a little intimidating too. If this is your first sport bike and you've mastered the basics then I would say yes. It has a lot of technology to keep you pretty safe, with all the traction and wheelie control features. At the end of the day, the bike is still really fast and you can get yourself into trouble quickly if you don't know what you're doing. Hope that helps. I thought more about this and I would also say this bike is not easiest to ride at low speed. Like tight parking lot maneuvering. It doesn't have a good turning radius and I can imagine a new rider dropping it. (that would suck). Once you get up to speed, its a differnt story. Get something comfortable that wont scare you, then when your ready, take another look at this bike.

    Do you love the bike ? What’s your thoughts on tuano 6 ? Can this be a daily rider

    • @B-LeeRides
      @B-LeeRides  Рік тому +3

      I love it! It does exactly what you want it to do. feels light and so stable. I really like the tuono's too. It was a toss up. For me, looks and sound are also a factor and that's what pushed me to this bike. Also, the tuono's riding position feels similar to a dirt bike with the straight bars and I thought it would put me in that mentality. I automatically go elbows up high, dirt bike style so I wanted the sport bike bars to get me into the correct body position more. Street technique is so opposite from dirt and I don't want to forget what I'm on. But i would say the tuono is probably more comfortable on longer rides. Yes, I plan on making this my daily once I feel like I'm one with the bike. To me its the best of both worlds. Like a track bike that is comfortable on the street. I was surprised at how good the suspension is. I figured it would be more harsh because it looks so agressive but its really nice in my opinion. Hope that helps

    Extrema or Standard? Help me 🤣

    • @B-LeeRides
      @B-LeeRides  5 місяців тому +1

      That is the question lol! For me, I went with this for the paint job and sound. If you like the look of the standard, go with that and save the money. You can always add exhaust. At the dealer I had them start them up side by side and then I was sold on the Extrema. At the end of the day, it's the same bike and they are so fun. Tough decision, I know...

    • @Reivbv
      @Reivbv 5 місяців тому

      @@B-LeeRides thank you for sharing your point of view. I appreciate your insights.
      I really like the paint job on the Standard the Acid Gold and Tribute. The Extrema version though with the seat cowl and white gloss paint is also a looker. It’s so hard to decide. Why do these Italians make such beautiful bikes. 😂 I’m leaning more towards the Extrema though, I don’t want to go through the process of getting an aftermarket pipe, going for a tune and ending up with a bike that’s too loud. Maybe Extrema then, also the dealer told me there’s only 2 in my country 😂
      Thank you!

      @@B-LeeRides haha I guess I just needed a nudge in the right direction 😂. I decated and put a mid pipe + muffler on my MT-10 now it’s obnoxiously loud, I enjoyed it at first but now I don’t want another insanely loud bike.

    • @B-LeeRides
      @B-LeeRides  5 місяців тому +1

      @Reivbv I hear ya. The Extrema is not that loud. Sometimes I think it should be a little louder, but it sounds great to the Rider. Little shift pops going up. And a nice grumble on down shifts
