I've got a 2014 SRi Z Series. 6 speed manual. I've got to say, touch wood. It's been fantastic. I'm very pleased with it. 112,000 K and not an ounce of trouble.
Gonk Monsta is there a particular issue that you are referring to? There are plenty of cars with various issues. My strongest recommendation is to buy an extended factory warranty (for any new car). Cruze is a pretty mature design.
i have a 2015 sri v cruze and like it a lot pretty quick from factory but good thing is if you really want a little bit more you can get a tune for it which i did and it makes it go like a bat out of hell i had the 1.4 turbo before i got my 1.6 and the 1.6 is a lot better in the performance
If I was looking for a compact city car, this would be the first place I would turn! Not much gets up and goes like the Cruze for the same dollars. Happy motoring!
i haven't had a problem with it yet i have a 2015 sri v sedan and the only thing i have had to get fixed was a recall on a coolant hoes and my dad has a 1.6t sri hatch 2014 and same thing just the hoes needs to be done and no other problems from what i have been told they fixed a fair few problems when they put the 1.6 in them but i guess it is like every other car depends how you drive it and how you look after it but everything on my is running fine and no problem if it helps i have had my tune and with the tune i am running 20 psi boost and factory is 12psi and it has 10kw more power at top 30kw more down low and 103nm of torque more then factory so if it can handle that and my driving i would say it's fine
the only thing i would say on top is they can be pretty thirsty mine is doing around 10.8l per 100ks but within saying that i drive it around town all the time but my dad who drives highway more than anything gets around 8l per 100ks so if fuel economy is something you worry about then it might be something to look at but i still get close to 600ks out of a tank hope that helps i probably put in a lot of info but better to have to much then not enough
+mr mo It was shot around Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, but I can understand why you would think it was Melbourne. The weather was terrible. :-D
+Sihong Jiang BTW I assume you are talking about the WRX, because the dollar for dollar version of the Impreza vs this would not even know which way the SRi went. 2.0 Normal aspirated CVT? NO THANKS!
LO FLYT dude the price of this is way too much compared to the base tier subaru. In price to performance, the imperza wins. Plus the impreza's engine is much more efficient.
+Sihong Jiang Sorry but in what universe does the base model out perform the Cruze turbo? Unfortunately the 2.0 in the impreza is an absolute wheezer. any money you save in efficiency is lost in servicing. you need to service the Subaru every six months and even a basic service is $300.
LO FLYT You much be joking xD, I've owned a Holden Commodore, its shit, it broke down so many times and has the worst handling of all the cars I've driven. Holden has the worst reliability in all the main stream car brands. Also from where I'm living u get 3 years free servicing with a new Subaru. Also Subaru parts are cheaper than Holden parts.
Your review of this car is amazing and correct. Well presented and honest.

Great handling. The aussie built tune really punches above it's weight.
How to replace spark plug for holden Cruze

LO FLYT fully agree and good review on it too by the way
Is your 1.6T cruze reliable? Im looking for a 1.6T SRIV hatch for my son but i have heard that they can have some reliability issues?

was this video shoot melbourne???
+mr mo It was shot around Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, but I can understand why you would think it was Melbourne. The weather was terrible. :-D
I certainly hope so Sihong Jiang. It costs twice as much! BTW the Impreza is too small for my family. The width of the rear seat is too squeezy!
Subaru Imperza would destroy this car
