this car has a better power too weight ratio than most commodores before the VE thats hilarious these big ole 3.8 and 3.6 sixes losing too a 1.6t 4 banger

The 1.4l also has the same power as the Toyota 86 and Subaru brz and the 1.6l has 30kw more power than those 2. Something I was very surprised about

@@matteo_syd7271 yeah the 1.6T is ripped straight from the Astra GTC of the same time its a potent engine for a 1.6T and its the most reliable engine used in the cruze aswell
Although I feel GM Holden could have made a beast considering their contract with GM Europe
They could have made the SRI use the Astra GTC 1.6T like they did BUT up the anti with the SRI-V and use the Astra VXR 2.0T
206kw in a cruze would have hurt alot of feelings

The perfect Australian made sport sedan with intercooled turbo can go best with 94 ron e10 unleaded or e85 flex fuel means more power less pollution. It needs a turbo meter for any turbo SRi Cruzes.

Mmm not impressive at all. I thought it'd at least do 7 and a half given its got healthy power and relatively light body.

quite slow, but ok for the car that it is. I swear they need to change the styling though, its been the same for like 7-8 years?

This is only slow due to the piss poor stock ECU tune. The car is capable of doing so much better.

Its really good as a city car. It's comfortable, quite practical and imo had a very nice interior. I lasted three weeks driving everyday without refueling once, however, on the free way, getting up to speed is quite a task for this car... was in 5th gear going 110kph, and then there was a hill. going up it in forth, and still was slowing down, went to third, no power still, then down to second and here the engine was revving almost to red line and i had to keep it there to go up hills. Was embarrassing because people were passing me like nothing. But this is also due to my engine having timing issues which holden wanted $2500 to fix which i refused.

Really? Do you have a 1.6T or 1.8? I have a 1.6T and it doesn't even feel the hills. in fact, i'm surprised how well it climbs them.

    • @PDriveTV

Holden is an Australian brand set up by GM 60 years ago. It has its own design centre and manufacturing facility, in Australia - the Holden-badged Cruze (the one in the video) is actually assembled in Australia.
This will all change soon as Holden is shutting down its manufacturing side within the next 12 months.
      Hope this helps
