But id tell anyone...even if you don't like gwar. Even if you don't even like rock/punk/metal fusions...you owe it to yourself to see a gwar show
The audience deserves some recognition for civility, for not cannibalizing the members of security, nor tearing the stage apart during this performance.

This is Michael Bishop. He was the original bassist for GWAR and had sung a lot of the older songs on the albums. GWAR would've probably died with Brockie without Bishop stepping up. That said, this current iteration of GWAR is severely lacking that Oderus charm. No one will ever be as beautifully witty and obscene as Dave Brockie.
I don't mind him but he doesn't give the same energy Dave came to the band. Plus Dave really committed to the Oderus Urungus character in interviews. If he was asked a serious question, he answered it from the perspective of Oderus Urungus. That character came first. I don't see the same energy here. It just feels like a Gwar cover band. I did like a few songs on the newest album.
You shouldn’t be sorry for an opinion. Personally, I think blothar is carrying the band better than anyone else could’ve. But we all see things differently. I do prefer Dave but as do most people but I do genuinely enjoy where the band is going
His voice isnt bad, but he has no charisma, while just standing around. I hope a new guy with a strong voice, and charisma comes into Gwar as Oderus Urungus cousin, or long lost brother lol Im tempted to alter a Oderus mask, and start doing covers lol
However popular gwar gets they will still be underated as fuck
