First time I've actually cheered grosjean which makes me question a lot...anyway,the crazy outside line overtake on Mac was actually great to watch. 1st time watching Indy too. Weird

tbf Helio has had a rough couple of years.
In the last years helio has adopted the Jimmie Johnson strategy
I more meant peaking early then slowly careering into the barrier
At this point, I don't think Helio is getting another full time ride, but Meyer Shank will probably run him at the Indy 500 for as long as he wants.

Winning in IndyCar is hard. With more or less equal machinery, in any given race there will be 10-15 drivers capable of victory. Grosjean's day will come soon. But in the mean time, he really seems to be enjoying racing.
Gotta say, this season of Indy car is, honestly pretty good. Plus any time we get to see Grosjean smiling and having fun makes anything better! :D

Grosjean just keeps getting better and better. He's my dude to root for, has been since I saw how hard he'll fight for any position. Plus he is obviously having a ton of fun and seems like a super nice guy.
I could honestly see Grosjean winning the championship without a single race win, at this point.
I think Pato O'Ward will challenge him for that one. He had a bad race at Long Beach but his other finishes are 2nd, 2nd, and 4th.
That would be the most Grosjean thing to happen

As more and more F1 races go by I start to see that indycar is as good if not better.
I had that in 2021 and now don’t watch F1 that much as IndyCar is so much better
I still wish Vettel would do Indycar, he actually tested a "Champ Car" a long long time ago before F1

First time I've watched an actually Indy race, and I think more happened in the first few laps than the entire Baku GP. Everything else after that was even more of a bonus. Great vid as ever Will.

Barber Motorsports Park is a tight, twisty track in the middle of Alabama that looks like it would be terrible for racing but somehow always gives us a great race, and did so again this year.
The impossible track. Only of my favorites both for its racing but also because everytime you play on it on the simulator it's always guaranteed fun. It's a mad rollercoaster
I actually went to that race. Being from Alabama the inbred comment hurt but is valid. But the race itself was actually really fun. The track is really accessible to where you can run around the whole track and find places to sit and watch. There are hills all around the circuit to just sit and watch the race on. People were having picnics while watching the race, which is the kind of idea the guy who created the track had in mind when he was designing it
It’s not valid in the Alabama I’ve lived in for my whole life (ya I’m past the days of ever saying how damn old I am. It’s sad). Plus this guy was saying the children in the title sponsor were inbred. That’s children’s hospital of course and that’s a bunch of horribly sick children… so not so funny. It’s called “research”. Last it’s a really really old overused “joke” about Alabama. Always racist and always stupid inbreeds. Just not true in north Alabama at least. Still giving you a thumbs up though because you are from Alabama and an F-1 fan (AubreyF1) and that’s good enough for me.
It's akin to VIR, drivers have even pointed that out. My hope in life is that VIR gets a big funding push to convert it into something like Barber that can handle IndyCar.

@@maxb4085 that’s an incredibly short sighted and weak point of view. Slower on road courses but harder to drive. Then there is the speed of the ovals. How many f1 drivers want to go 240mph?
F1 cars are amazing but the races are dull. Indycar races are thrillers most of the time.
If you want to watch a bunch of billionaires parade cars around a track, watch F1. But if you want to actually watch a race…watch Indycar.

As an Australian I hate to say it, but that young kiwi Scott is a special talent. Watching him through his Australian Supercar days was impressive, but watching him beat former F1 drivers, that's really impressive.

Barber is one of my favorite tracks, as it's motorcycle track, and doesn't have the slower/tighter hairpin turns. Always fast.

Win or not, Grosjean has been one of the greatest additions to join Indycar.
Love the Indycar videos, great content... Roman is really showing how ridiculous some major traits in F1 are; your driving abilities mean fck all compared to the abilities of your car. It's not possible for Roman to continue driving like this and not win a race. It's bound to happen sooner than later this season. We all know how emotional the dude will be once he comes across the finish in first. People are looking forward to seeing that grown man cry like a baby

I’ll be touching down in Miami for my first of four F1 races this year and I can honestly say I’m not even looking forward to seeing it knowing damn well what to expect.
These videos are really incredible, great indycar content. F1 used to be my favorite but its too inconsitently entertaining for me to put my time in it, but Indycar is absolutely my favorite series and you're doing a great job of covering it!

I have watched Grosjean driving in the back with useless equipment, it was and is (for all who still are) heartbreaking.
This here is a driver-to-driver battle, not a driver-with-the-best-car-driving-laps-around-everyone-else whatever. Grosjean is a fantastic driver and he so deserves to win, go man who walked out of the fire! 🙂

I have started watching multiple racing series this year in addition to f1 (wec, prototypes, f2,f3 and some gt racing). Indycar is the only one i cant afford watching. The replays on nbc and these great videos still keeps me updated. Thank you!
It drives me nuts how indycar teammates drive completely different looking cars.
Romain and Scott were both on another planet. Incredible stuff from both. Romain is at his best right now and it's a treat to see him performing like that.
Without his two DNF he would be leading the championship, but you know who started with two DNF in 2022 and still won ? Yep :D

Ericsson took a while to get his first win. Grosjean will be able to get a win. He is cool an calm under pressure and has good reaction time as well as good try management, good braking, an good car placement.
Pato took the checked flag with 93 seconds of PTP left, so someone in that garage needs to be fired. 50% of the races this season he’s been under fueled and missed out on a win.

Grosjean is a great driver. He just makes mistakes. Somehow I think Scotty Mac’s victory count will always be higher. He’s got a calmer head. It really matters at the top level. Those drivers know who’s calm under pressure around them when in equal equipment on the day.
It’s all how they handle it in the end. That’s the difference between victory, 2nd place, or throwing it away.

I know almost nothing about IndyCar, and don't have a team. I keep it simple and just root for the swedes, even though they are not on the same team :D
Well i think it still was a massive success for grosjean, he finished over 10 seconds clear of anyone on his strategy and held off McGlaughlin on alternates while being on the Primary tyre
Another Kiwi kicking ass in motorsport, cant wait for Liam Lawson to get his F1 drive and with Nyck de vries doing so badly it may come this year. Helmut Marko is not afraid to show a driver the door after a few failures.
Thats spec series for you. Even if car is hooked up always another guy with same machinery equaly hooked up. Its why nascar n ovals r more luck as its so long so many yellows its luck if everything goes right
