Call them looks then maybe as DT also has presets...this is the term DT uses for module presets .....so while you may wish to use that term it will end up being confusing from your title.......
Hmmm good point about module presets. This video is meant to be more for beginners to darktable; I think once a user learns enough to find out about module presets, they won't likely be confused about way I'm using the term. In the meantime using 'presets' to refer to darktable styles will help acquaint new users with the concept behind the term
Man, I really wish you could. The thing is, Lightroom's programming is all closed-source, like the exact math for how their exposure, white balance, etc all work. So because of that (and I'm sure other technical reasons), there's not a way for lightroom presets to communicate changes to darktable like they would make in LR. It'd be sweet tho
@@DylanLiveLifeCreative not at all but, if you think about it, it doesn't make any sence; the text before and after the vertical bar, is separated anyway, it doesn't need the space.
great video mate! straight to the point! saved my life! thanks a miliion
Great video, do you have any links to where you can download then preset packs?

Nice edit Dylan! Could you give us this cat preset?
Hmmm maybe. I'll have to go look if I still have that preset saved. I might be able to re-export it
Hey Dylan, very helpful video. Is it possible to make or export a dot cube preset from dark table ?
Thanks in advance.
Hey Beldon, I'm sorry I never saw this comment. I'm not familiar with dot cube presets, so I apologize for not being able to help more!
@@DylanLiveLifeCreative no issues Dylan. Thank you Mate
Hey Dylan, is it possible to import and use the Lightroom xmp & dng presets into Darktable.

3:14 You don't need, actually, you should not use space.
Does it corrupt the preset file?
