Have fun
Where in Florida is this?? Lol 😂
You have obviously Lost You're Mind. Pitty. Figure on 10k to 50k , for each project. 100+ for some that you've outlined. Been there ,done that!! It'll never be worth what you put into it, You will never have any Time, endless repairs.. Sorry, to say.. I can't even say good luck. Old copper pipes , in Florida. Built in the 60s-70s. All thin wall copper.
One solid ad from start to finish
I cant believe that your not afraid of the gators.
The teenager in me thinks this house is awesome. The adult in me just see the headaches of maintenance, the cost and even the time to enjoy it, but if you can afford it and enjoy it, nothing to complain about. Congratulations!
Yea all I see in this hous is - renovation, more renovation, maintenance, more maintenance and huge energy bills... :D
Yup. I can barely keep up with my small house, car projects and a full time job. Maybe if I removed the full time job I’d have time for something like this 😅
That's why I have a small house.
You nailed this. My adult self said God lord they saw this sucker coming from a mile away, but my other adult side said he is using it as a business expense and will write it all off as content for his channel.
The only thing I really like is the pool and outside kitchen with a hot tub.
The lake is pointless because most people I know that have water front property, they never use it.
The house is way to big for my likes due to maintenance, cleaning, energy bill consumption. My aunt owned a mansion and I only used the kitchen, one bedroom, garage, one bathroom. So right then and there I knew I didn't need a mansion in my life.
The yard is questionable. I like having land, but I would rather have it as open land to put a shop on or a garden vs walk ways for a nature walk.
He has enough material here to make videos for a lifetime! He should get the Lock Picking Lawyer to open the safe. Then get the guy from Decks, Docks and Gazebos to renovate the dock and Paul LaFrance and the crew from Decked Out for the decks and other outside building, Jenn Nawada can clean up the plants while the rest of the crew from This Old House is working on the house inside. This can go on forever!
Lockpicking Lawyer have to see this!
He should bring in @HowToSandAFloor in to redo the hard wood floors, even though he's from outside of the US. Would be totally worth it too.
exactly what i was thinking too, that would be nuts!
Linus from LTT to build networking and cameras.
“That would be an X kid” 😂😂😂
I know most folks come to your channel for car content, but I'm looking forward to watching this unfold. Put the gym in the 2nd house near the sauna, use that shed for lawn and maybe pool stuff. Paint the green in the kitchen white and send the cabinet doors out to be refinished white and paint the frames yourself with the same color. Have fun. Take your time. Invest in tools as you work on things.
Eh, the kitchen is least offensive thing he showed. I'd do a new countertop and restain the cabinets rather than repaint them white and make the place look like every other crappy HGTV flip.
Personally i think it looks still very nice. Id focus on the things that are in bad shape first and then think bout adding a fresh layer of different paint in parts of the house like kitchen.
No tool should be used that you're not being sponsored by.
personally painting the cabinets is good cause they don't look really old but that countertop looks like those wood/mdf type ones plus kind of ugly. Honestly everything about the those really just needs a touch up or small bits replaced it does add up though.
@@bigelvisthechefrosenberg5494 good call. Get yourself a stack of free tools Tavarish if you're going to be using them in front of millions of viewers
Greetings from Finland, the home of the sauna. For the stove, I would definitely change the stones. IF you do not know when those have been changed the last time. At least in Finland sauna stones do not cost much, but those make a huge difference on the experience. Old well used stones have lost their thermal properties and might have started to break down. or release all stored heat too quickly, resulting in harsh "löyly"/the steam coming out from the stove when throwing water on the heated stones. Also when you have removed the stones, clean/rinse the stove from any dust, broken bits from the stones, before laying the new stones.
Otherwise a Finnish style sauna (that you seem to have) is very easy to maintain. Just check if the wooden benches are ok, not moldy or anything underneath. If ok, then just enjoy using the sauna and remember to let it dry out properly after each sauna event. Good ventilation keeps sauna healthy.
That sauna must be swedish as the bench is that low from the ground.
@@TimoLahti as a swede, this might be a child size sauna. I have only ever been in saunas where the benches go up close to the ceiling
Never been in a swedish sauna, where it actually is hot enough. Hotel saunas in Sweden have been more of warm rooms than saunas. One in a cabin in shouth Sweden was ok, after I changed the temperature settings and threw enough water on the stove
Hotel sauna in Copenhagen didn't have stones. Didn't dare to throw water...
He needs to have a bath room connected to the sauna

As someone who recently bought their first house thinking it was 100% move in ready....and immediately realized how many projects I wanted/needed to do, this house looks like a massive undertaking but honestly please show us as much as possible. I would love to see everything you do to this place.
I bought a house this year thinking the same... I have more projects in mind than money on my wallet
Freddy, congrats on the next step! A few suggestions:
1) If you are going to convert the 'shed' into a gym you may want to consider a mini-split for heating and cooling.
2) A septic tank company can pump out your bomb shelter if they can get close enough. If you decide to use the space look into sealing the walls and installing a drainage system around the entrance.
3) The hardwood floors are beautiful. If you have areas that need help they can be sanded and color matched.
4) Given the size of the property a good monitored security system with multiple cameras will provide some peace of mind for your family.
5) May want to consider an intercom system or everyone can have their cell phones with them. :^)
Intercoms are pretty much a thing of the past now, they've mostly been replaced by tossing an Echo or Google Nest Mini in the rooms you want to talk between. 'Alexa, drop in on basement' and you tell the kids dinner is ready. :) They're dirt cheap and easy to set up and add to.
if you get the bomb shelter pumped out, you may find it has a sump with a pump in it that has failed. They're usually made to handle quite a bit of water ingress so they can be used as a storm shelter without killing the occupants.
@@JohnCarter-vo8ux Cloud assistants are becoming a thing of the past too..well, not really. But i'd opt for a local home assistant, and i'd prefer an intercom system using the local network. It's not so much 'muh privacy!' which is important, but more so just how silly the notion of having a command to shut off a light in the same room as you are, go through your wireless access point, through your router (or both), through the internet, to a cloud DC, back through the internet, through your gateway/AP and to your light switch..versus just having it happen without crossing your gateway.

The steel telecom thing in your backyard is a HAM radio antenna- probably has a huge deep concrete base to anchor it in place. The little room next to your editing station with the custom shelves was the "HAM shack" that held all the guy's radios and gear that people collect over the years.
Combine the radio and bomb shelter... and you're good to go in the next apocalypse ....
@@davidwilliams3643 The place was originally built in the sixties, and the Cuban missile crisis probably had a bit of an impact on builders back then, so the shelter kind of makes sense.

The bricks in the tree are the remnants of old tree decay management. Cavities in trees used to be blocked up to try and stop decay advancing in the tree, but in fact the practice either does nothing or can make the decay worsen. It looks like the tree is relatively healthy (from the shots seen) as it has continued to grow around the edges of the cavity, and that's why the bricks are now stuck in there. It would be worth getting arboriculturalist to check the tree to see what condition it is is and if there is any likelihood of it failing in the future.
Agreed.
This house has sooooo much potential. The backyard could easily be turned into having a complete vacation vibe. Excited to see what you do with this house. Should totally make a bonsai shed and get your mr.Miyagi going.
In regards to the bricks in the tree, It was a common way to cover up cuts and scars in trees in the 60s around when this house was built. It's not actually brick, but tar that's stuffed and petrified then carved. Really cool you got a tree with it!
I thought it might be an air outlet for the bunker.

Having done 139 ground up remodels and averaging 4-5 home flips per year with extensive remodeling, you did well.
This house is far from being in trouble, it's just dated. $250-300k and this house will be drop dead gorgeous. Obviously, you can go cheaper and do more basic work or much more extravagant, but I would eye in 250-300k.
You're probably pretty spot on if he does about 70% of the work himself. Coming from about 30 renovations a year and now building about 50 houses a year.
Yes rebuild asap while the prices for everything is still high....dont worry i doubt labor and materials will be lower in a couple years
Double that. I bet he comes in at 500 to 600K
@@elmundo1871 yes, i was basing my number on him running the job and subing it out himself. He does that on his channel, so I made an assumption... If he hires a general contractor to do this, it will run over my estimate substantially.
As someone else said, You should double that estimate. For one thing it's his first time doing house stuff, if for another thing he's going to do some tavarish weirdness stuff.
The whole time im just hoping and saying to myself “ I wish he gets sponsored by landscaping/construction companies” so we can see the transformation happen faster while we still get quality car related videos at the same time. Congrats Freddie. We all know that one thing you're really good at is restoring old broken stuff. Excited to see what you will do .
For the mosquitos, you could get a misting system around the perimeter of your house. I’m from south Texas so I know how it goes. My parents did this with their backyard and what a complete game changer it was. Despite the creek that was behind the house, I never once saw another mosquito when they installed the misting system.
This house has so many different quirks and features you should get Doug to review it.

Really happy for you man. That’s a beautiful place 😍 in love with that backyard and dock. It takes a little time, but renovation and making a home your own is so rewarding and the best feeling I’ve ever had. After renting for years and years, I finally bought my first place 2.5 years ago, and have been steadily renovating room by room. That feeling when you finally finish out a room is incredible, just like finishing a project car haha Can’t wait to see what you do with the place man 🙌🏼
11:20 “there’s a slide that.. looks like its just made for insurance claims”
Got me wheezing 😂🤣
I think the AC system would be a fun project to work out. Surely you don't need 6 units for the entire house - plus, you don't need to replace what's working fine. For the leaking water one, your drain is blocked and it's pretty easy to deal with. They're simpler than they look!
The fact that you quickly received more views in one day for this video than for Car Trek means that you need to continue to show what you do at home. It can help many. Ideas in the field of construction often come just by looking.
The most ambitious project is an understatement. This is a really cool home and when you get done will be pretty awesome. I used to buy homes and renovate them and can say this is a big project. I can say this will be ten times as much as your Mclaren build. This will be a fun watch for many episodes. Great luck.
I'm sure the lockpickinglawyer could open the safe in 2 minutes, then do it again just to prove it was not a fluke. House looks really nice! the back yard looks sick, damn. big gz on the house, can't wait to see how it turns out.
+1 for LcokPickingLawyer
Freddy, those look like Cypress floors. If you take them out, besides the fact that you'd be crazy to do it, people will pay big money for them. So don't let anyone "rip" them out. Remove them carefully so they can be sold and you'll make a significant deposit towards new floors. Or, refinish them and enjoy them. Wood floors create a warmer and more welcoming environment than tile or stone does.
Been following you since you were working on cars in your garage, Glad to see you succeed.

Congrats on the new place.
I had a salt water pool for years. A few thoughts:
- The pool equipment does not need to be covered, it is designed to be outside and in the elements
- The spa may not have a leak. It is probably part of the pool…. Since the spa is higher than the pool it will likely drain back into the pool if the valves that control water flow may not have good seals.
- I would defiantly shop around for pool people to get the pool back up and running.
Good luck!

For the bomb shelter, you can just buy a sump pump from home depot. A nice 2hp unit will make some reasonably quick work of the water in there, and is always something helpful to have around the house.
Make sure that it is a trash pump so it will handle leaves and such.
I'm extremely excited to see this content. This is like an endless pit of content that will keep giving no matter how much you throw at it. Even when you think you're done you'll still have 100 videos you can pull together. Daunting to think of yet fun at the same time.
Congratulations Freddie. It is a stunning property. Yes, it is dated in some areas. But it looks like the structure is really solid and it is quite beautiful.
The refresh will not take a lot. Some updating in the kitchen and bathrooms, new lighting and paint and you are golden. The pool area is fantastic. Five acres on a lake is fantastic. One day you can build your garage with the lifts and not have to pay rent and commute. This is a dream house.
Congratulations on the new home and seriously looking forward to the new content. A few notes: 1. A pressure washer is your best friend right now. 2. Solar installation asap (the sooner you begin producing your own electricity and net-metering excess power to the grid, the lower your bills and the greater your system equity.) 3. If you're ripping out old central air systems and creating a single functional system, seriously look into a geothermal heat exchange system to passively cool and heat the house (it will save you an absolute fortune meaning more money in your pocket long run and reduce your energy requirements/carbon footprint.) 4. Assess the property's insulation. 5. Maybe keep the signal tower and see if you can get a deal hosting signal equipment/cell company infrastructure. That'll turn to revenue. 6. An electric water heater will save you a bunch on gas especially if you go solar. 7. If you're already planning on doing renovations and you're at the beginning of the process with a property, seriously look at the current floor plan and ask yourself if it presently makes sense or whether a rearrangement would bring benefits. 8. Take your time with furniture, functionality comes first with the space and it's always better to gradually furnish the space in a way that makes sense rather than racing to fill every area just for the sake of getting it done. Consider reaching out to Linus Tech Tips; he's been documenting his recent home retrofit as well. If his vids don't give you ideas, then certainly the insight he could share could save you a lot of time.
You have a right to be so excited about this house! It is an amazing house with tons of potential, and the size of the property is great to have, also. Hours and hours of renovation are ahead of you, but as you accomplish things project by project, you will get a real sense of accomplishment and joy! Honestly, the price of this house plus the cost of renovation are staggering for me to grasp, but will bring worlds of enjoyment to you and your family! The very best of luck to you!!
Congrats Freddie on the house and starting a whole new UA-cam chapter. Love the idea of the recording studio, and look forward to seeing where you take that aspect of your house. Get those guitars up on stands or hangers though, don’t leave them lying on their headstocks!
MOSQUITOS: plant decorative "lemon grass" around the property. its a pretty looking tall grass that has a yellow tint. it does a decent job of repelling flies and mosquitos.

as a swede im proud you mentioned it. but saunas are mostly associated to finnish people where it originates from :D looks like a house that can be customized pretty good.. looks awesome
As a big fan, I am looking forward to your house/property renovations! I spent most of my life in the Mobile Bay area, and I can commiserate with you about the climate, and definitely about the occasional hurricane! Such a cool house... so many possibilities... Don't rush into all of the projects; it can burn you out. I would imagine that prioritizing is going to be a challenge. Thanks for sharing with us!
Knowing you and the effort you put into building cars this house is going to be awesome when you're done with it congrats man
Congratulations on the new home. Looks great and I look forward to seeing what you do with it. Don't get rid of all the 70's styling as it is making a comeback!
Well deserved after so much hard work. Been watching your for ages and I can’t wait what to see what you do with this house. Would love like a 675LT’ interior inspired interior in the house somewhere like the office or something…
Much love from Norway 🇳🇴
I remember watching Tavarish fixing a convertible top on a Mercedes in his driveway. Now you have a huge house 👍🏽
This is awesome, love the fact that he has the balls to be a regular guy and show us his house that needs work rather then some stupid rented palace to make us envy the "good life"
Um literally a mansion with a huge pool he's no regular guy anymore
Lmao Tavarash has 6000 sq ft of house and he wants to have a gym in the back of the property? Nobody is ever going out there to do anything except possibly bury someone. Not saying it’s a perfect axe murderers shed…but
No chance I would Ever swim in that lake. Nope, not happening not once, not ever!
Incredible house!! Been watching since early days and I’m so happy to see you succeed! Recently I purchased my first home as well and it’s definitely a process to get everything done!
I do home networking, audio, and smart home design and a house like this would be amazing to kit out. Hope you do some of that in your renovation as well! Looking forward to following the process.
Massive congrats on this house purchase Freddy. Hope that you, your wife, your kids and your pets come to love and enjoy the property. Keep lots of mosquito repellent handy, remember to use it often and you should be fine.
Can I just get Tavarish going around reviewing old houses. It's so entertaining.
I LOVE THIS HOUSE!!! I can see it being a lot of work but so rewarding as you complete each project! I can’t want to see the updates!
Thanks for sharing your house with us! Seems pretty cool and untouched with good structural.
It'll be great seeing your progress on modernizing and customizing it for your needs.
Congrats Freddie. That house is huge for your family. Time for your family to increase in size. :) I think a large property with no HOA was a smart move. Good luck with the renovation.
It's not just the content, it's you that keeps us watching.
This house is an absolute dream! Glad to see tavarish cashing in some of those car trek checks
Congrats on the new house Freddie. It has the potential to be incredibly amazing . Going to be a lot of hard work but it will be worth it in the end . Good luck m8 .
Ive been following Tavarish for awhile now and I hope he knows that hes doing a great job with this channel. I'm so happy for the things you've accomplished for yourself/Family! Keep it up bro!
Congratulations on your new home. My only suggestion would be to create a another UA-cam channel to chronicle you New Home and the trials that you will face getting it to the way you want. Have this channel (Tavarish) as your car channel since everyone is familiar with it. You can do a crossover segments between channels to let casual watchers what is going on with the other channel. I hope for the best in your new challenge and please keep up with the great content. New channel name " Tavarish's Hooptie Home" ?
Dude, I follow since the very beginning. It really makes me happy to see when hard work and commitment pays off. If you allow me to say it, you even look in better shape and healthier than ever. Congratulations! I wish you the best all the way from Argentina.
I can't believe I watched the whole video. This is sick man. So happy for you. I wish I had the opportunity to really fix my up house. Bought it, renovated once, not to my liking, and really can't find the funds and the time to do it again. Great job man, excited to see this happen!
Great house. Next time maybe as part of the closing costs you should have the seller throw in a T-shit that is a size larger
Chill
Congrats on the new house, it's amazing!! The shed should house ATV's and pwc, it's perfect for the piece of land you have. Can't wait to see what you do with it all. For the ac's, I would change for large mini splits, far more efficient to run than central ac.
Congratulations on all your success, it’s so great to watch you and your channel grow over the years. Big project but we know you will crush it!
Its wasn't actually we Swedes that invented the Sauna. It's actually our brothers to the east of us the Finnish. Still really cool, I'm exited to see more renovation videos of the house.
And I just recently learned that the electric sauna stove was invented in the late 30s in Finland.
I was looking for this comment. Sauna in Sweden is called bastu and it's only 60°C. ;) If you're looking for a good sauna stove choose Harvia.
Congrats on the house. You get to grow with it it’s so much to do, but you see what glory you can bring out of it. The house is amazing.
Kudos for reaching your dream man! Doesn't matter what it looks like compared to other dreams, all that matters is that you achieved yours.
Side note: LPL Collab for the safe would be quite entertaining I believe
This is the side note I came to look for
Long winded way of saying your house looks like shit.
He would have to send it to LPL.
@@ChipsNeeson Not if he offers LPL a free dip in the pool in exchange for opening the safe...
@@ChipsNeeson LPL could just ship his hands & voice to Florida 😂
See you guys in a year for part 2. Can't wait to see the house at sema.
Congrats bro been watching you since the beginning and you deserve it, can't wait to see the work start and you put your stamp on the place! ❤️
That house is insane!! Can't wait to watch the journey making it your own. Really looking forward to this new chapter of your channel!!
