im using Nordson adhesive system too. I have a lot of troubles with this kind of needles and blocks my nozzle. I did cleaning the system more than six times and still i see that kind of needles. I dont know from where they came. any suggestion please? thanks

The cleaning action of the SureBead product is by virtue of the tip of the needle passing beyond the seat area and into the exit orifice to punch through any blockage. Needles are rigid components and cannot move through a nozzle that is not straight through. Therefore, it is not technically possible for this technology to be applied to right angle nozzle or any other arrangement where the exit orifice is not in line with the axial movement of the needle.

What I meant was that if the nozzle is horizontal, the whole gun would be operating horizontally and the particles would stay on the bottom side of the shaft instead of dropping by gravity in a vertical arrangement as in the video.

There should be no issue with horizontal application. Particulate will tend to flow with the adhesive, in which case it would normally enter the nozzle and be handled as if the module were vertical. If it does fall out of suspension within the module without transitioning into the nozzle orifice, then it cannot block the nozzle.
