Dorje need to make more songs so Rob plays something other than Too Weak. I swear it has been in nearly every single video.
Bea's playing just gets better and better, MORE BEA!
It's really really great to see the classic humour come back with this set of videos!
Bought this guitar a few months ago. Love it, it's my favourite guitar that I own. Comfortable C-shaped neck, beautiful guitar, sounds amazing in drop g# or a# standard - especially on a better-suited amp for metal - I use a Peavey JSX. Sounds .. just absolutely perfect.
Love the editing on this video :)
there should be a guitar where its tune to CABBAGE
Two words - Rob Scallon.
Cabbage core!
Thats what I have been eating mostly today....
FLATULENCE.
Look up Ichika he did it.
Probably the best tone I've heard on the Anderton's channel in terms of hi-gain or metal stuff.
And you know the secret?? Don't use too much gain!
^this! I tell that to everybody it's funny how much of an oxymoron "hi-gain" is hahahaha
agreed. it's got all the growl and saturation but no fizz \m/
it's the chewbacca neck materials....
best sounding EMG's I've heard. Sounds pretty awesome
you guys have demoed the iron label 'IR' series, 6-8 strings. That's your deja vo.
I love the Captain's sigh of frustration as Chappers throws the plectrum at the camera!
I knew I'd seen that switch before!! Thanks for pointing out where everyone!!
An arcade button! I have thought the same thing when I see the killswith.
brilliant
85 in the bridge is so underrated. If i ever go back to actives it would be the 85/60 combo.
That is one beats of a guitar! Love baritones
You did the regular ibanez iron label guitars range a while back, thats where you remember talking about the switch.
Awesome guitar , Just straight up sinister sounding .
WANT ONE !!!!!
It seems you have lot of fun at working on video editing Rob, good for us it's just more funny and dynamic than ever. Greetings from France !
Love this. Holy damn. Expensive hobby.
Love that Synyster Gates guitar in the background!
Waiting for mine...backordered. Can't wait. Been playing in B for years on standard scale length guitars. A few more weeks...
well I like how you do now more stuff in post, like the images and the 2nd camera!
You guys always crack me up xD
Great guitar though!
I've never heard an EMG sound that good in a long time
Wow! Bea really kills me with his riffin'@6.37
Why do they always assume that the killswitch is there to be used musically? It's there for when you want to mute your guitar on stage. When you're using tons of gain these switches come in handy when you need your guitar to shut up for a bit, especially if you like your volume set a certain amount and don't want to fiddle about with it when it's time to be noisy again. A momentary switch would be useless for this.
Buckethead has entered the chat
Hey guys, I'm getting this guitar soon so I was wandering what strings should I use for drop A# in 432 hertz? Are 14-68 gonna be too thick? I've been using 13-58 on a regular guitar and it felt a little loose
6:40 BEA BOSS
I have a Warmoth home built baritone scale 6 string tele. I previously had Seymour Duncan Hot for Tele pickups in it and pillaged them for my American Deluxe Tele. They sound awesome in the Am Deluxe but not spectacular in the baritone. I was considering single coil actives (EMG) to keep the muddyness away and bring out some high output twang at low tunings. I play through Deluxe Reverb Amps and the only dirt that I use is a TS and Blues Driver. Very rarely I use the DS-1 for AIC type music but I want to emphasize the quality of the clean sound. Anyone have any experience with this and any (well founded) suggestions?
I use Amplitube 4, so any suggestions on amps for it or the 21? One video said it sounded muddy with some amps. Maybe the gain was up too much.
The bees cracked me up xD
That's a badass looking Ibanez would be handy one day 😱😎👌👊
bea is killing it. :)) guitar god :)
one of the funniest videos you guys made lately!
and i think you talked about the kill switch in another model of ibanez or ESP i dont remember realy....
You talked about the kill switch in another guitar demo, it came to my mind too when you said it should be a momentary switch.
A newer version of the RGIB6 has come out called the RGIB21. The only difference I can tell from the RGIB6 is that the RGIB21 doesn't have a kill switch or a place to put one or a tone pot AND it costs roughly $50 than the RGIB6.
Rabea rules!! such a greats riffs!!!
does anybody know what chappers guitar is tuned to not this Ibanez but his ml guitars?
I need this in my life.
hey does anyone know how much this guitar weighs that they are showing Ive been looking online but aim getting no where?
i am curious so u cant play in stadard E tuning on baritone guitars?or the tense of strings will be too much ?
The killswitch was on the 7 and 8 string versions of the iron label as well
I adore that guitar, I play Drop C, is that tuning possible on this baritone? Would it give trouble? Thanks and a hug!!
The kill switch was on the Iron Labels that you reviewed last year.
The video Lee was referring to talking about the killswitch could have been about the 6/7/8 string Ibanez Iron Label video maybe?
Laughed hysterically at the fairy gag :DD
It was on the other Ibanez Iron Label video that you guys talked about the kill switch :P
The reason you remember that killswitch is because you demoed the standard scale 6, 7, and the 8 string Iron Labels, the baritone wasn't out yet: Ibanez Iron Label Guitar Reviews - 6, 7 & 8 String Models Get Shredded!
The riff he played in the beginning sounds like the theme song to 90210, just an octave lower and with scratching.
The funniest episode so far!! NAMM SHOW! BEE! :D
LOVE your chewbacca-noice captain :D hahaha
Best intro Ever!!
Wow I'd love one of these
Yo guys, I don't get what picking technique does Rabea use around 6:40. Doesn't look like sweep, I am confused...Can anyone explain?
Pankcore For All it's just normal picking, mate. it just looks a bit different because he's skipping strings
Bea is an absolute Beast !!
Do you have to have this guitar in a low tuning all the time for it to perform at its best or can you have it in standard tuning as well?
At 28" and designed for like drop a, I'd say it'd be about as good in standard as a regular guitar in drop a.
Was he using just natural amp distortion or did he have a distortion/overdrive type pedal?
Now I'm getting this thing 5 or 6 more days!
You guys did a review a while back on the RGD421. It also has a longer scale, but it's shaped differently.
Hi Lee & Chappers! It's true that you guys discussed the NON-LATCHING KILLSWITCH in this video : Ibanez Iron Label Guitar Reviews - 6, 7 & 8 String Models Get Shredded!
I had the same déja-vu-feeling! :-) Love the videos!
"I'm Rob Chapman, here's a plectrum" 😂😂😂😂
If the Iron Label series, RG321 RGD320 RGD420 then um this might be for you?
Love it
I NEEED THIS AXEEEE!
Awesome video, killer tones but why did Captain Lee call Rob Rebea?
Rob, Have you done a demo on the randall diavlo rd5h? if not could you? I would like to get an honest opinion from someone with tonal taste before I buy one. (they are really inexpensive so for the price of a really good pedal you could own one) Thanks
I installed a killswitch in my strat using a regular toggle switch like this guitar has. It's pretty nice, but I think I'd play differently if I installed a momentary switch
I would love to see a video where you get someone like Keith Merrow and do a 7 String guitar video, showing nice guitars for different prices ranges and the pros/cons of them.
The intro song is that a new track rob is working on?
Guys, it was the Ibanez Iron Label 6, 7 and 8 String Guitars you both reviewed in March last year. Albeit the 6 String from last year had a Tremolo System/Locking Nut and wasn't a Baritone, although it does come with a Hardtail Bridge. Other than that, same Guitar basically.
You guys should do a Telecaster Series special video. Every Tele there is! That'd be awesome!
yeah i believe they also have kill switches on them
cody thompson Indeed they do. Many might disagree with me but, the Kill Switch is one of the most pointless things ever added to any Guitar. Ibanez went with a solid, simple workhorse of a Guitar and added something that more or less does literally nothing other than, be 'something irrelevant to inevitably go wrong'.
You guys covered this (almost) exact guitar in the Iron Label 6, 7 and 8 review a while back. This is just the 6 string baritone. Am I right?
That thing would look pretty mean with some Tony Iommi-style cross inlays. You could get them on ebay for like 15 bucks.
how do you play what bea does at 6:38
You remember the switch from doing a review of the new (at the time) Ibanez Iron Label guitars (6, 7, and 8).
pretty tasteful mr chapstick
You guys reviewed Ibanez 7 & 8 strings with kill switches that worked the same way.
These Ibanez iron labels sound really good thru a Laney Ironheart 60 head \m/
I suspect the Kill Switch is a latching one because it allows you to kill the hum of high gain amps. Rolling down the volume takes (micro seconds) longer.
how do you do what he does at at 6:44? can anyone help
The fairy trap door..classic lmao!
Are there dots on the neck at all?
+wil that guitar on the wall is a shecter sinister gates signature guitar. He plays for avenged sevenfold.
When you guys did the iron label series with 6 7 8 string
You may set that stutter function up using "The Guitar Wing" with Ablelton Live. (Go ahead then)
swapped the emgs for lundgren m6s, favorite guitar i've ever owned, need to get a second one
I think that thing the Captain liked at the start with the pick scratching was more of an accident, Chappers had no idea what he had done hence did not sound good when he said "oh yeah this is what I did" this is how cool songs are made... on accident.
68 gauge string! can i tune it down to G?
a nice guitar by the way, good tremolo bridge without locking nut,,,, interesting
man bea is the shit! a beast in every video ;)
That reverb effect on the INTRO whahaha
that toggle reminded me of Know your Enemy.
+The Holy Father. no it's not
Anyone ever tune a 6 string bass to this tuning so you can play it like a guitar? So much fun
I guess it would work if you use super thin strings on the bass. Generally, you should never up tune a guitar, only down tune or standard tuning!
Nicolas Otala
no you silly goose i meant tune it like a baritone guitar. B E A D F# B instead of BEADGC
Oh OK. That's what you meant. Sounds like an interesting idea worth trying out! 😀
Fender Bass VI, Schecter Hellcat VI and Ibanez SRC6 are short scale 6 string basses, tuned one octave below guitar standard tuning. You can use them as a bass or a guitar...amazing instruments!
You probably could do it with regular guitar strings
Rock on Rob
hell yeah!
you reviewed the first bunch of guitars from the Iron Label series previously (like last year), and yes you cited that its kill switch wasn't as functional and musical
Awesome video! Great dirty lead! Chaps should play some Bullet For My valentine ! It looks like a perf guitar for that
Love your videos guys!
My Ticket Home used that scratch technique on their latest album Strangers Only
can you review the ibanez FR series please? :)
3:57 is the best noise I've ever heard.
I found the video Rob and Capt. were talking about; Ibanez Iron Label Guitar Reviews - 6, 7 & 8 String Models Get Shredded!
(around 7:40)
Kill switch and emgs? .do we really need another?
