That little classification thing is actually not real, dragons are whatever someone decides they are. This means in any culture that doesn't use the silly 4 legs, 2 wings rule (a lot, if not most, cultures don't) is correct with calling their respective dragons, dragons. It's a case of use your good judgment, don't call a horse a dragon just to piss people off.

What I love is that Jeremy Soule took the classic Elder Scrolls theme that had been around for years and did two things with it. He did the usual remake of it that all the games do, releasing a slightly different newer rendition for the new game. That's not different. But he also took that song and made it not only new, but integral to the plot of the game by giving it prophetic lyrics and actually making this version Skyrim's and ONLY Skyrim's. No one will ever confuse the Skyrim theme song for any other game in the franchise because Jeremy wove it into the story of the game. Now THAT takes talent.

There are many other types though including wyrms and drakes, but we tend to think dragons have to have four legs and wings to be classified as dragons. However, this is usually mistaken because there is, indeed, a dragon type that can be simply classified as a dragon. Confusing right?

What I love is that Jeremy Soule took the classic Elder Scrolls theme that had been around for years and did two things with it. He did the usual remake of it that all the games do, releasing a slightly different newer rendition for the new game. That's not different. But he also took that song and made it not only new, but integral to the plot of the game by giving it prophetic lyrics and actually making this version Skyrim's and ONLY Skyrim's. No one will ever confuse the Skyrim theme song for any other game in the franchise because Jeremy wove it into the story of the game. Now THAT takes talent.
