    LocTite 603----- amzn.to/3tuT8wn ----- I mean its loctite not much to say works great

    I really think you need to do a video, or series, on how you get the finish quality that you do. I follow several machinist channels, and no one comes close to the finish quality you do. As a matter of fact, some of the people I follow have commented on your finish quality. I think you're putting in a lot more work than you're letting on, and I'd appreciate an understanding of what you're doing different to take your projects to the next level.

    Since you already hooked up an VFD, you could have saved the two stage pump by implementing a variable speed hydraulic system, you just need a pressure transducer and hook it up to the analog input of the VFD. Then play around a bit with the parametars on the VFD. I have done this with the exact same VFD and it works really well. The nice thing is you can also actively decrease the speed, that could save you the flow divider you have built in.

    • @robertogrady1321
      @robertogrady1321 2 роки тому +1

      @@westweldThey do have a big run out range but I always found that the closer you get them to concentric the longer the coupling rubber lasts. I was only explaining the idea of a "love joy"coupling to two young engineers at work yesterday and Like that I called them a "love joy" and then had to explain as you did that they were not actually all made by love joy but everyone calls them that🤣. 5hp motor will put out some pressure!👍 I have a 4hp in my 45ton ironworker and its a beast.

Can get down to 150 rpm in direct drive and still have gobs of torque.It will even run a 2" spade bit in the tailstock, I have a torque arm on the tailstock to save the keyway in the ram.I got rid of all of the sheeve drive stuff and installed a 5 HP motor, kept the clutch though. Had this setup since 1997 and would never go back to the old setup.
