I used to listen to 2am so much in college they were always overlooked by 2pm their counterpart and I really think jyp didnt know what to do with them since they were more of a ballad group but im glad they have new music out the members are from left to right jinwoon jokwon changmin and seulong the two song where they r singing in higher pitch its because those songs are duet with solo members singing with female singer (gain and iu) I wish they were more popular i have been trying to find react but there aren't many thanks for reacting to their killing voice I liked their episode on iu palette they are close since they debut at the same time and seulong had a song with iu that was her first award winning song
Basically, if the third generation is known for having BtoB and Mamamoo for their great vocal, second gen has 2AM and Davichi. If you haven't, you should also check Davichi, they are duo and they're great! Davichi and 2AM also used to do collaboration stage together back in 2010s and it melted my ear!
Thank you for the reaction! 2AM isn’t the most popular, but for everyone who knows gen 2 kpop, we all know they’re just the vocal gems that can do justice to songs. Anw, to give some info: Far left: Jeong Jinwoon, his solo is more rock, you can check it out Center left: Jo Kwon, 5:50 is his duet with Brown Eyed Girls’ Gain for a a variety show, he is a variety show genius, Center right: Lee Changmin, 14:00 ‘Moment’ is his solo song for The Heirs OST, it was massive hit. Far right: Im Seulong, 7:14 his featuring with IU for ‘Nagging’ is a timeless hit, it is one of those challenging song bcs (ofc) the high keys, and Changmin belted it nicely. I recommend their EP ‘F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Way of Love’ :D
2AM is like 2PM’s fraternal twin group and together they were called One Day! Where 2PM focused on dances 2AM focused on vocals. Jinwoon is the one that you asked about on the left end in b&w, JoKwon and Changmin are in the middle and Seulong is on the right end. Jinwoon was/is? really good friends with Key and other 91 liner idols and he did a little acting. JoKwon is well known for going against gender norms and is into dancing a lot more now. He was a huge variety star in second gen times. Changmin was also in a duo called Homme. Seulong has done some acting too. They are a great group but they are a bit forgotten. I loved that they got a killing voice moment.
2AM is special, their last participation on knowing bros was amazing. I miss those guys, as a ballad lover it feels wrong how they always take to long to make a comeback. Waiting an 2PM killing voice now 🙏🏾
About groups with vocals we can go back to JYP dungeon and listen to 15&. It's a duo made by Yerin Baek and Jamie, I would recommend you to listen to "can't hide it" it's not ballad and the girls are great singers
I'm really glad that you enjoyed the killing voice! I got into them through Jeong Jinwoon (the one furthest left that you loved), as he's in one of my favorite kdramas called Marriage, Not Dating. If I woud recommend an abum for you to listen to from them, it woud be Let's Talk. It's pretty long, but there are some stand outs, and It's nice because each memeber has a solo song on the album torward the end :)
Wow, the nostalgia. I love that they include solo songs of the members, We Fell in Love - Jo Kwon & Ga In (BEG) Nagging - Seulong & IU Moments - Changmin (OST The Heirs) Imo all their albums and solo projects are so good, just listen to them all. You can also watch their variety show Wild Bunny (2am and 2pm together are chaos made in heaven).
moment song is a changmin ost for the heirs kdrama they took a long hiatus for military service but even in jyp they didnt release a lot of music there were so many solo songs in this killing voice episode and its hard for them to have comeback since they r all in different companies now im just thankful that jyp allows them to still use the name and that their current label let them add into their contract that they put some priority to group activities
2AM the coolest time of the day. 2PM the hottest time of the day. 2AM + 2PM = OneDay. And I love them both. Wish one day we could see them perform as One Day again on the same stage. Thanks for the reaction! ❤
If there’s one thing I can respect about JYPE is giving us groups like 2AM and 2PM! They were sooo goddamn iconic back in the day and their influence is still seen in JYP groups to this day, in my opinion. JYP groups do have strong vocals, but the way of honing those vocals is so unorthodox. From g.o.d to 2AM to Xdinary Heroes; nothing but top tier vocals
2AM and 2PM are brother groups that together make up the supergroup ONEDAY. 2PM focuses on dance, rap, and pop songs; while 2AM focuses on vocals with most of their music being ballads and softer pop/ R&B music. 2AM and 2PM are my favorite kpop groups of all time. (Also, 2AM’s latest album was so freaking good with delicious vocals.)
2 AM usually stick to their style now if you want something upbeat or different, I would say listen to some of their solos Jo Kwon has some really good dance tracks. Seulong doesn’t do much she’s more of a businessman now but he does have some nice R&B stuff changmin has some nice Pop ballads and jinwoon the guy you that you like he has some nice band music kind of indie band.
Loved this reaction! The song you recognised towards the end (Love is the moment) is a very famous and well known song of theirs, you might have heard it a lot in korean content especially any variety shows, its played a lot! 2am are such amazing vocalists, they are the brother group to 2pm and both groups are really close, and 2am have mostly always been about their ballads and songs that get you in your feels, since they are for the '2 am listening time' (lol idk if i explained that concept properly). They also had their military break in between hence the gaps, they have completed it fully now.
Actually love is the moment is not their song. It's the song changmin sang as the ost for the popular kdrama the heirs. That's why it's really well known.
2am was from JYP but discontinue their contract after enlisting..and waited 7 years until each member took turn finished their enlisting period and get back together for their latest comeback. 2pm is their junior group which formed after their successful released. They are few more well known vocal boy groups back those day, will recommend SgWannabe
well the reason they couldn't promote was because the group was a project between 2 companies (JYPE and BIGHIT now HYBE) changmin was under hype while the rest were under jype and the contract between the 2 companies was only until 2014 so after that most members did their own things + finished their military service and they promised that they'll comeback when the time is right and in 2021 they made their comeback with an EP "Ballad 21 F/W" that had 2 title songs one was made by JYP and the other by HITMAN BANG lol ...they're still on good terms with both companies also some of the songs in the video are either solo songs or features female artists and they covered their parts that's why some of the songs were a bit high
Im so glad you enjoyed this! Please help us spread the word of 2AM haha please show this to all your singer friends. Please please. I cried watching this video because I saw them live 10 years ago and they were amazing even then. Look at them now.
MOMENT is the OST of Lee Minho & Park Shinhye’s kdrama “The Heirs” 😊 It was originally sung by one of 2AM’s member - Lee Changmin (the guy wearing a white/cream blazer/jacket.
One day (2am & 2pm - #dirtyeyedgirls 😂😂😂) were iconiccc. I still listen to "I wonder if you hurt like me" and "You wouldnt answer my calls" to this day! Kpop Karaoke faaaaveess
Oh wow! 2AM was such a gem of a group! They were very popular as a ballad group, and were formed as a counterpart to 2PM. They made such beautiful songs then, in true JYP fashion, would go crazy on variety shows. I'm glad they got together again.
Thank you for this reaction, 2am is one of my favorites groups!! I would like to recommend you to react to Ha Dong Qn Killing Voice, he is a amazing singer too :)
Omg yes!!! Not a lot of people are reacting to that.... The groups that brought me into kpop is shinee, 2am and ftisland!!! Now I just need a shinee killing voice 😂😂
I'm sooo excited you like Jinwoon!! He's personally my bias and one of my fave songs from him and just overall is 'You Walking Toward Me'!!!!!!! I highly recommend!!!
The group that got me into K-pop. I came across their song called ' can't let you go even if I die' I didn't even know what they were singing about but I ended up crying. I checked the lyrics and it made me cry even more. My favourite back then was also jinwoon
I am sooooo happy you love the "bookends!" I think they are both usually overlooked but i love their voices the most. I am so glad i discovered your channel.
Thank you so much for reacting to 2am's killing voice, I hope you continue reacting to many of their songs! and I wanted to make a recommendation, please react to the group project called Gomak Boys which is composed of Paul Kim, Kim Minseok (Melomance), Jung Seunghwan, Ha Hyunsang and Big Naughty. I'm sure you'll LOVE them, they have two songs: Sweet Thing and You and Me.
As a fan since their debut, Saint O'Clock is my personal favorite 2AM album but any album you decide to checkout is going to be a worthwhile experience!
didn't expect you to like this, at least song-wise bc it's very ballady ost-ish. your reaction to the wonky asian chorus drop(?) is soo funny to me (no clue abt musical terms clearly)
Thank you for reacting to 2AM. They are my favourite kpop group of all times. (Left→Right) Jin woon진운-Jo Kwon조권-Chang min창민-Seul ong슬옹 Please react to [F.Scott Fitzgerald's way of love] album. I've never seen someone fall for Jinwoon most of people praise Changmin and Jokwon but this is nice, four of them have a great voice and are the most talented and underrated guys in kpop they are just know for the second gen. I hope you enjoy their music, Jinwoon , Jokwon, Changmin and Seulong deserves more
2AM is the first boygroup that i bought an album. Saint o'clock is the album. The fact that I am BTS army now makes me think that I may have followed Bang Si-hyuk. Bang Si-hyuk produced many songs in 2AM and they were in Big Hit for a while. As a Korean, I think Koreans like R&B music that explodes like Big Mama, but more popular songs are vocal songs that focus on lyrics. There are so many great vocalists in Korea, but We get tired when We listen to their music one or two songs. Koreans seem to prefer a style that doesn't make their ears tired even if they keep playing one person's music. There are even people who are tired of 2AM's songs. So, singers who are excellent in vocals in Korea seem to try to make light and calm music that people like, even if they can fully perform skilled vocals.
the song "moment" although I don't know what other similar killing voice song you're thinking of. That song really reminds me of "Eyes Closed" by Ed Sheeran LOL
May I suggest you to also listen to JYP's the oldest group g.o.d (groove over dose). They called National group and named as SK's Boyz 2 Man. Another group with great vocals produced by JYP. Well, JYP may sucks by loved girls and harsh on boys, but he really produced some great groups with best vocals in SK. Hope you will also check g.o.d out. Thanks!
Oh, Jinwoon is your favorite?! To that I say, step back, step back silly girl 😡 Jokes aside, I wanted to share 2AM songs, but you be a little hard to please when it comes to ballads. Even though they do bring the vocals, the songs are not really that innovative musically so I was cautious. They are a ballad group primarily with a few upbeats songs here and there. It makes more sense in context with 2PM. 2PM were the group with the upbeat club music and bad boy image and 2AM were the "boy next door" group with ballads. I honestly don't think you will like their music all that much.
Hahahaha Step back step back!! Yeah ballads are more miss than hit for me but mostly cos Korean ones are SOOOOOO traditional and dramatic and very safe!
I actually have....an interesting story about the member, Jeong Jinwoon and why I will stay a fan because we love accountability! During the first 2 years I taught in Korea, I had caught him On IG live one night. I had been studying Korean at the time so I thought it'd be good to listen as well. After a while, he added one of his friends to the live. Jinwoon says "What's up! What's up!" in English, in a normal manner. NOW....what does his friend say after thinking for a beat? "What's up! What's up my n----a". Jinwoon looked HORRIFIED and in that moment told him that he can't say that word and to apologize, as he should. Unfortunately, when this kind of stuff happens, a lot of artists used to just laugh or awkwardly laugh it off and change the subject quickly. I did appreciate him doing what he's supposed to do in that moment. The next day, before classes, I sent a DM in Korean thanking him for correcting his friend. Not thinking much of it. When lunch time came, I looked at my phone and he had actually replied to my DM in English, apologizing again to me and to all of his fans. He didn't have to do that, so I appreciated it a lot.

they are not for one bit forgotten, their popularity is still strong in South Korea as a 2nd Gen.
@@bomipark628 that’s good to know! I just v rarely see international fans bring them up so that’s what I meant.

Love seeing all these amazing 2nd Gen Artists and Groups on the Killing Voice. Love love 2AM the balladeers of K-POP.

Oooo okay I trust you Juda!! So I’ll add it to my list for sure! Thank you. Yes he’s the best!
I discovered them through Jinwoon too. He's one of the first idols discovered through dream high 2
I've discovered so many great Killing Voices from your channel, thank you for continuing to share your reactions to them!
Wow, the nostalgia.

We Fell in Love - Jo Kwon & Ga In (BEG)

Moments - Changmin (OST The Heirs)

Jinwoon the one you like is Changsub's friend. They sang a 2am song together in one episode of Soyou's show.
Ahhhh love that they’re friends

They dropped new songs in 2021 I'm surprised they didn't sing any of those. They are ballad groups, so you will be getting 99% ballads from them
OMG 2AM!!! 2nd Gen's Ballad KINGS!
All GENERATIONS ballad kings ❤

2Am was all about the vocals. Dream High wasn't TV excellence but they had really good idol vocalists on it, most of them from JYPE.
As a fan since their debut, Saint O'Clock is my personal favorite 2AM album but any album you decide to checkout is going to be a worthwhile experience!
FT ISLAND killling voice too please ❤🙌🏼
YESSSS PLEASE

MELOMANCE ! I remember your reaction :) I like their killing voice :) it was great to get into their songs

This song is Jin woon's first solo, he wrote the whole song. He is so TALENTED!!
16:32 Honestly this has been driving me crazy as well!! But now that you said that it was from a Killing Voice I think it's a song from MeloMance but I'm still not sure😩
Yess it's Deepen!
That's ost from drama heirs on Netflix to...that drama so populer
@youney_city5595 the song became a little annoying in the drama, but it is a beautiful song. I love Lee Min Ho as Kim Tan. Such a great drama.
i'm glad you liked them. they were my original oppars before i became an EXO-L. Definitely shows that I have a thing for groups with awesome vocals...
I suggest watch them in IU palette episode from last year, i think they sound much better there than the killing voice.
“The moment” I think reminds you of Melomance. Don’t remember the name of the song though.
Yesss it's called Deepen!
7:37 super treble part is IU's part...poor guy
Hiiiiii Love your reaction very much ❤
Thank you so much!!
I did not even know 2am had a killing voice o_o

Love is the moment!! Kim Tan...
A bit of information 6:45 and 7:16 are not their song, both are duet songs with female singers so that’s why the key changes a lot
15:55 this is soundtrack of drama HEIRS and yeah it’s Changmin (the second one from the right) who sang it
