  • The Mischief Cup returns! Six teams, Khorne, Necromantic Horror, Imperial Nobility, Halflings, Lizardmen and Wood Elves, compete to see which is the best around!
Hello again, sports fans! Blood Bowl - the legendary game of fantasy football - returns for a new season of ultra-violent sports mayhem. The plays are bigger, the hits are harder, and every game will be filled with moments to remember. No two matchups are the same. From the moment your team stomps out on the gridiron, your grit, wits, and capacity for grievous violence is put to the test. The action’s fast and furious, but if you keep your head in the game you just might best your opponent and score the most points - or make sure they can’t get back up to stop you. Fame, wealth, and glory await if you win.
The final game of this Round of the Mischief Cup, and two new teams, the Imperial Nobility face the Lizardmen! Lizardmen have been my 'go-to' team for a long time, so I have high hopes for them in this League. But the Imperial Nobility are a new team on the block, with decent defence to counter the strength of the Saurus, they should provide a good challenge!

you forgot at 15:07 that negative modifiers from tackle zones don't apply on stunty players, so the skink should've passed on that re-roll of a 3, otherwise great game and wonderful video format

The rulebook isn't the most specific, but if there's no square they can be pushed into as an unoccupied square they go into the crowd, so if you had another lineman above and below you're blitzer, then at 22:45, the skink would go into the crowd, as it makes it pretty challenging to surf in the video game at least I think?

They're pushed into one of the 3 squares behind them (pg. 58 of the rulebook has examples). Since all 3 of those squares are in the crowd, that's where the Skink will end up. It's why having players next to the crowd is so risky.
The only way for the Skink to have avoided going into the crowd would be by having the Sidestep skill, as they can choose which square to be pushed into, and they aren't restricted to just the 3 squares behind them.

Ya, I just played a lizardmen game against old world ai, you gotta hit em straight on to knock em in the crowd. I still think there's a few glitches every so often, and have to get a better idea of deflection rules, but I'm getting the hang of it, must be a pitch event that adds +1 to dodge and making my skink have to roll a 4 to get away from the rat ogre into an open square last time though?

In that instance the Rat Ogre has Prehensile Tail, which makes Dodge, Jump and Leap rolls at an additional -1. Kroxigors have the same trait.

@@michaelborror4399 If its still relevant for you I can give you a run down for how block directions work, and this will help with surfing and "chain-pushes" in general.
When a player is pushed or knocked down due to a block they get pushed into the three squares opposite the block (assuming no skills interefere). There are really only two types of hits/push directions- Diagonal or Orthogonal- so you can really simplify the pushes if you learn to think of it that way.
Chains are as you said before, when all three of those squares are occupied the attacker chooses where the target goes. These end up with players in squares and T shapes, but hard to demonstrate in a text comment!
Surfs are similar to chainpushes, but one or more of the push-able squares is off the pitch and any remaining squares are occupied by players. Head on surfs take no blocked squares, diagonal hits need 1 blocked square, and Orthogonal (towards the endzones in this case) need 2 players blocking squares where the target could be pushed.
Hope that helps! If you want more visual help, I have a tutorial video I made a while ago for a rookie league that goes over some fundamentals

Nice report. Remember that when the weather doesn't change the ball deviates, so d8 3 times, this is different then 2016.

Another great match report! I imagine you have to spend quite a lot of time editing these together, but worth it imo.
Playing BB pretty much always have some little rules mistakes that I would imagine you notice when you watch it back. I noticed that a skink forgot he had stunty when dodging at around 15 minutes in, and multiple times the ball didn't bounce after inaccurate pass scatters and kick-off deviations.
    Keep up the great work.

Thank you! I mostly skipped the filming of the ball bouncing, but there was at least one bounce I did totally forget! And yeah when editing I noticed I forgot about Stunty, thankfully the Skink didn't get injured over it!
