Amazing! Could you sell the clean land fill to recoup some of the costs?

This is a wild project. I’ve often thought of underpinning the basement floor a foot or 2 in my home for more space but seeing the amount of work I think I can give up on that idea!

I know two couples who did this for their homes with a smaller footprint; and on average it took them about 2 years, every weekend, after work, during the holidays, and so on. They succeeded eventually. We're glad with the contractor we hired for this. But afterwards we still needed to "build a basement walk out" (in my separate video) and pour the basement floor slab. We're glad is over and finished :)

Thank you for the question , but we were happy to not pay extra for soil disposal ❤😂

Thanks for your question @clementngamon9308 , contractor and engineers suggested $100,000 CAD for this space (43' x 38') but that doesn't include iron I-beams, iron posts, concrete floors, or entire basement entrance. This commercial basement is now complete with drywall, drop ceiling and I'll share the finished space and basement walk-out, roughly whole "journey" ran around $200,000 CAD for 1,700 sf. basement space. We're sure to amortize the investment over ~10 years of renting it.
