The timing of this video was amazing. I was feeling discouraged because I wasn't getting the results I wanted. Looking back, I've achieved experience and improved over time. This video gave me a more positive mindset and encouraged me to try harder. Thanks a lot. Also, my honest opinion... Lee Chong Wei beating Lin Dan in the semi final in Rio must have felt like a bigger achievement to him; being able to subdue the pressure and play on. Keep up the great work!
@@atiq8987 Not sure why Messi comment in a Badminton video... LCW has as always represented Malaysia and has won almost every major tournament, bar the Olympics gold. Messi hasn't won a single major trophy with Argentina and most of his honors are with Barca which is not in Argentina.. Sorry if I sound rude..this is a useless comment..
Awesome video Jonathan! Definitely the "one step at a time" was a very important lesson for me. I remember entering one of my first local tournaments at the highest division which was "A". My level at the time was the lowest "D". But I was stubborn and didn't care, I thought I was already the best and that i didn't have to start at the lowest! Hahahaha😂😂😂 Now I have worked myself up to "A". After that it will be Future series, international series, international challenge, then moving up to bigger tournaments!
A wonderful , respectful video for an amazing , strong man. As a cancer sufferer myself I know how hard it can be to , A. Keep strength and B. Timing and endurance. I'm still trying to keep it competitive but less so against the younger players. I'd like to thank you Johnathan for all to your informative and entertaining vids, and this lovely ' ode' to Lee Chong Wei.
I was really hoping LCW would be able to play in the next Olympics as a fitting send off for his career. You could see how much it hurt him to retire. He will definitely be missed. Thanks for this video.
Im also a great badminton player. ..i love badminton a lot...and lee chong wei tooo....tkx for making a nice videoo...im looking forward to new videos...SL
So sad to him go, especially being a Malaysian it’s makes it more heartbreaking. But I’m glad he has stepped on the court and I’m certain he will still inspire future players to come
LCW and LD will go down in history as the greatest to have played the sport. Until badminton exists, Legacy and legends of LD and LCW will exist as well.
Cheah liek hou is para-badminton athlete who won: - World Para Badminton Championship (11X) - Asian Para Games (4X) - Gold Paralympic 2020 (1X) Next, release 3 crucial lesson from cheah liek hou because i always know LCW, but since CLH won gold paralympic 2020, i start to want to know about him too
sad for him for not getting olympic medal....but he surely is the greatest badminton player ever in the world......he truly deserved olympic medal....Lv from India Lee Chong Wei
LCW MAY NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO WIN OLYMPIC GOLD . BUT THE GOLDEN MAN OF BADMINTON (LCW) HAS WON MANY HEARTS AROUND THE GLOBE . TRUE LEGEND LCW !!! HATS OFF TO YOU FOR MAKING US FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS BEAUTIFUL GAME..
Yes You’re Right Lee Carried Whole Malaysia On His Own Shoulder While Lin Dan Still Have Fu/Cai On Mens Doubles Zhang/Zhao On Mixed Doubles And Other To Give China Gold Medal
I agree to disagree. From what i have heard part of the problem i understand is theres a talent pool of shuttlers in malaysia and most of them chose to stay at state level. Reasons are they are paid to play and can have a regular job. Going pro is a gamble. Injuries, failure to make it. etc. While cancer may have made him hang up his rackets, its also his saving grace for his unrelenting spirit with its early discovery. After all his last chance for gold at world championships and Olympic was in 2016. 2020 was more of a hail mary attempt tbh. No doubt super dan have the luck of the lottery, LCW will be there always be the sportsman that stood up to mighty china alone. A fighter to the very end and for that he is always my favorite icon and number 1.
LCW (and we are all!) knew exactly that he should have won at LEAST one Olympic gold medal and one world championship medal! One reason preventing those is bcs LCW sometime tends to enjoy the game or shot too much and/or showing off his skill set rather than always focusing on the job done or winning the game. That's why he apologized! On the other hand, that attitude has helped him to become the longest no 1 player!
The guy doesn’t need that kind of negativity going on, given his condition. Speaking open mind ely! Badminton does have that attitude though, people won’t ‘step out of the box, and look at the bigger picture.
LCW, an athlete who apologized for winning 3 OLYMPIC SILVER.
Daara do mzniis retitignow.

Cheah liek hou maaahhh! He delivered gold paralympic 2020 for malaysia maaahh!!
Hahahaha definitely true
Great video, once again - Jonathan! :-)
We are looking forward to see more from you!
You should collab with him someday!
The king without the crown.
God speed LCW!
That, somehow sounds cooler.
the crownless king sounds cooler. lol.
he is the best
no, he is already the king, but LD is god

Yes, sad but true. By the way, he already becomes a gold in every heart of his fans and supporters..I guess. Peace yoo ✌✌

Good one! And thank you for not rushing through this piece which gives it the dignity it deserves for a legend.
He inspired many, very true. He made the sport popular.
A great video. Thank you.
I loved this video , thank you for making it . These tips are very handy thank you
there may be players with better career statistics, but the intensity of his play was never diminished till retirement. undoubtedly a legend !!!

LCW is a true legend, 69 titles to his name.
Life always hit a brick in his face throughout his career. But, he never gave up. True legend.
Hemanth Kotagiri often this brick was Lin dan
is there any threat in playing badminton in wooden court like slipery etc?
Good question, Mehul.
I remember myself playing on a wooden court and I was just slipping the entire game😂😂

no issues et all, if it is, change your shoes
In Denmark where i live and play, all the courts are wood. And there is no issue.
Lindan tidak ada tekanan sebab lindan bergerak 1pasukan... Lee chong Wei pulak bergerak seorg diri saja.. Sebab tu LINDAN selalu di depan LCW
