I was taught to put oil in the cylinder or some sort of lube so on first start up when theres no fuel/oil mix at first it keeps it lubed. Just saying it to see if theres a reason you dont.
I realise this might seem a silly thing to comment on, and you might find it's an awkward thing to do, but good on you for a decent attempt at the "ch", it's not easy for people who didn't grow up in Scotland or speaking German
I have all the parts just sitting in a box waiting. I got distracted by my mercedes and havent really worked on my moped for a few months :( Hope I get around to it by the summer time.
No I modded it all up to the max, drove it around while my license was suspended (GPS'd @46mph with nice acceleration as seen on my onboard riding videos) then started the race polini engine (which now sits in a box in my garage) and then parked it when I got my license back. Then I bought my Mercedes and started modding that
Also, did you have to bore out the E50 engine case to match/fit the 70cc kit? I know that anything above 70cc has to have the engine to be bored out to have the kit fit.
So I have a puch moped its old but matches the body style of yours the gas tank has a leak and it has been taken apart rebuilt and sat behind a shed for a long time and the tail pipe wasn't on it for all that time I got it for free but was wondering if it was worth it to rebuild it
The original one is very good. The only problem is your engine case. It has only 3 Bearings instead of 4. This means more wear. I would recommend yout to get another E50 with a new crank and put the other one aside.
I found out when cleaning it that it's a 1985 but what type idk still do you know any good websites for parts I'm looking at moped junkyard.com i don't know much still
puch e50 it is rare in america but the netherlands, germany, belgium is loaded with these engines i would recoment using www.puchshop.com for buying all your parts.
ty or showing this whole process with some good quality camera work. Now I feel comfortable trying to do something like this myself

Hell yeah! These things are super freaking fun. Rebuild that thing
will be even more awesome when the polini arrives
everyone is so chill in california ...

spraying the shit all over the garden bench HAHAHAHAHA!!!
Will be wicked wen its finished
Yes, you lubricate the piston and cylinder wall by applying a lil bit of oil.

The bar that runs up top, is there a place where you can buy one? I've seen them on a few mopeds and def want one on my maxi.
Thanks!
Thanks Man!! Glad you liked it!

that is awesome they are fun to ride .
How fast did moped run after 70CC upgrade?
It went slower. That's why he never replied lol
do you have to break in the new head or no? and are you banging on the actual piston when your removing it
Hey are you ever going to do that video of the full-out upgrade? With the crank and everything?
Seems like this Puch was painted with a brush :D and over the VIN plate to....
Where'd you get that top tube? Is that custom or prefab? Thanks for the vid by the bye. Big help>

The video shows everything I did to fit the kit on the engine.
Hey! I have one question i have puch supermaxi in 50 cc and i want rebuild it to 70. Do i need sport crankshaft or is better original
crankshaft?

Puch Maxi he is pronoucing it like dutch people pronounce it. :-)
S VK and hes failing badly
awesome video keep em coming!!
Sounds good, they've been great so far... and I can't blame ya with that mercedes haha
did you use the same sparkplug?
cool rebuild will that work on a motorized bicycle ?-
pretty cool where did u order your kit from?
Did you have to redo the timing when you upgraded to 70cc?
i would recommend doing it but it would probably run with the origional firing but not very good
jesse batema loopt wel redelijk maar ind je krijgt niet het maximale eruit
Thanks bro!
have you had any problems with the piston hitting the head? or did you put a 70cc head on it?
This may be late, but when you buy a 70cc kit it comes with a whole new top end to fit the new piston
nice job :)
Nah, it's puccccaaaahhhh haha
what kind of knife is that?
Did you need to re-jet it?
You always do if you put a bigger jug on
What pipe is that?
why didnt you port it?
The chain sag was bothering me.
I found out when cleaning it that it's a 1985 but what type idk still do you know any good websites for parts I'm looking at moped junkyard.com i don't know much still
