Hey Echo. I feel like i have sort of the same problem here. I play skyblock regularly, and during this holiday, probably over 10 hours a day. Education is starting in a few days and i find myself contemplating about how i can find time to play skyblock, which is a really bad and addictive mindset to have. I've failed quitting probably 2 or 3 times, one of them being for over 500 irl days, and i always find myself getting back to this game somehow. Skyblock has overall just eliminated any chance to get into a genuine hobby that i feel like can last long into adulthood. Seeing as so many skyblock players are getting burnt out and quit the game, i hope i can do the same, and find genuine interest in other things. I wish u the best Echo.
Dude if you have come so far without succesfully quitting, just gift all your items to a streamer. I also wanted to quit but luckely I got ratted and lost all my stuff but I did not lose any private info. It is kind of like jumping into cold water. You don't want to jump from the beginning but when ur in it is a big relief.
i couldn't agree less, i had a profile which was very endgame. i had max talismans, and a hype and term with level 45 average stats along with cata 49. then one day i got hacked and lost everything. so now i barely play sb because i spent around 2 years into that account and lost everything...
I got rated like a month ago and but I got VERY lucky. I thought my whole microsoft account would get destroyed and I would lose my whole mc account but I didn't. The ratter only took my stuff and left. He didn't even delete the profile. Now I have full control of the account and im glad to say the ratter is gone. Honestly I didn't ever think it would happen to me but my life has been so much better without skyblock. Bye Echo, hope to see you again soon ❤❤
Its an addiction few are able to break. Those that say it doesn't ruin their lives are just coping and watering down how detrimental Skyblock is to people's well being and mental health. It isn't worth it at the end of the day and you may as well quit now as you are inevitably going to quit one day- and that applies to everyone. Good luck on your future endeavors Echo.
I dont personally agree with "you may as well quit now as you are inevitably going to quit one day" because its like saying "you may as well die now as you are inevitably going to die one day". Nothing lasts forever, doesnt mean you should quit everything. But yeah in most cases skyblock is something worth quitting.

You can recover from skyblock once you quit; there is nothing stopping you from enjoying life after quitting. Death on the other hand is a completely different topic with no similarities. Yo, idk if u remember me but i used to come a lot in ur streams and stuff, i was rennn4k, and my over 700h playtime acc got ratted and left the game for around 8 months but the urge to come back to skyblock is real and now i speedran the whole game but i'm playing in a constant fear of getting ratted and honestly it kills the fun. What you're doing is the best option life offers you, to just live ur life. I am happy that playing games just bored u and now you're enjoying real life because yk life is life not a game so gl and yeah echo bye

A bit of a plug for a server I really enjoy but you should try monumenta. It's kind of like a hard difficulty mmorpg dungeons server that actually keeps the core mechanics of minecraft ( placing and breaking blocks ) . The reason why I mention it is since its a smaller server with an insane amount of content ( like 500 hours of unique stuff ) that you also don't really "grind" by repeating something for hours. Gameplay itself also evolves a lot to make different content even more unique soo early on its fairly slow and vanilla while at its current stage of updating its very custom with fast paced combat . In short it respects your time and you're still playing minecraft ( also pretty skill expressive which I enjoy ). Hope that didn't give off too much "sponsored by random server" energy but more so me praising a server I think deserves it.
sad to see the end man i remember giving you like 1b in contra and lowkey the smile on your face was worth it, im personally getting back into the game rn cause i did take an extended leave, what i have been doing is putting a limit on my play time, i can only play when i get all my important daily things around the house done and can only play till 9pm, if you end up coming back i really recommend doing this aswell.

The problem of wasting is for a certain type of player that literally wake up and pass the whole day sacrificing for example a plan or school for skyblock. And that is not normal, I’m personally a student in medical university, and I pass for example the whole day outside and when I come back I have two choices either I sit and watch whatever or I play and have some fun. I chose the fun option and I don’t consider that wasting my time
Yeah, I quit skyblock for league and never looked back. Spending thousands of hours mastering league pays of skyblock never pays of. And it feels alot more rewarding to see your rank go up then to see stats go up in my opinion.

Even after "quitting" the game, It's always there in the back of my mind, and also the rest of my mind, cant stop feeling like i want to come back, I MUST come back. Then I think about it for a minute and remember why I should never return. Then it all repeats the next day, so I fear that some day I may not be able to resist coming back to the game which feels most like home.

As someone who randomly join skyblock once on a stream i can say that this game has a magic power that brings you in and never let you go away or quit, just like smoking... I have never thought that playing skyblock with viewers will be much funnier than doing it alone and also i have never known what power do you have as even smaller content creator by having cata 50 players on your friend list. Im currently at almost 1.7k hours of playtime and tbh... without goals like getting slayer 9 or buying edrag then Gdrag next Hypermaxing your setup i wouldnt play and stream almost every day... The problem comes when u got all things that you can achieve for coins but only by putting hundrets of hours doing one thing over and over and if you didnt you fell behind others and in future "deranked" from End Game player to Late Game player cuz more content come in and it will require more time to catch up

i got profile scammed and was around skill average 40. Now i play guild wars 2 and a fps shooter(Valorant since the beginning). Guild wars 2 is fun and way more rewarding than Skyblock. It is more than 10 Years old but has a cool and growing community. I really liked ur skyblock content and i just want to help with a advice for a new game maybe it is fun and u can try creating content . Maybe it is something else but hopefully u keep on creating new videos :)
My and my friends got wiped last week, we lost around 5000h of playtime and around like 50b. The wipe come from my coop irl friend who got hacked. We couldn't do anything to save our profile and admins didnt help at all. This game is a prison.

Honestly echo i liked your videos and streams but this one doesnt hit Downloading mods comes with consequences and if you get ratted or wiped, it's something you should take responsibility for. The admins, just like any other game devs, wouldnt refund your account or items if you use them. But its great seeing you spend 3k hours on csgo rather than skyblock. It's not like other games can be repetitive after 3,000 hours, right? But hey i its great seeing you spend time outside with your loved ones

i got profile scammed and was around skill average 40. Now i play guild wars 2 and a fps shooter(Valorant since the beginning). Guild wars 2 is fun and way more rewarding than Skyblock. It is more than 10 Years old but has a cool and growing community. I really liked ur skyblock content and i just want to help with a advice for a new game maybe it is fun and u can try creating content . Maybe it is something else but hopefully u keep on creating new videos :)

My and my friends got wiped last week, we lost around 5000h of playtime and around like 50b. The wipe come from my coop irl friend who got hacked. We couldn't do anything to save our profile and admins didnt help at all. This game is a prison.

Downloading mods comes with consequences and if you get ratted or wiped, it's something you should take responsibility for. The admins, just like any other game devs, wouldnt refund your account or items if you use them. But its great seeing you spend 3k hours on csgo rather than skyblock. It's not like other games can be repetitive after 3,000 hours, right?

Yeah man, the ratting part is just my experience where people just targets you and it’s their sole purpose in life to get you ratted constantly and the limits they do I have no idea how they can even get access. People trying to guess my Microsoft account 50 times a day and it’s just sad. But I love you man thank you for the support till now!!!
