I am president of a gun club and every month we have the reading of the bills by the treasurer where he states " I have a receipt here of 74.83 for reload supplies, I have a receipt for 78.00 for the cable TV bill, etc. I then ask for a motion to pay the bills and a second, once this is done I say "pay the bills".

What is the reason for the large security presence in such a small village? She doesn't even know enough to understand that government (and in businesses also) employees have to account for the funds they spend on government expense accounts. Every penny has to be accounted for whether it's a govt expense account or business expense account. It still amazes me how she has not been arrested by the Sheriff (not local police) or at least why the Trustees have not been able to have the State Attorney's Office open an investigation on the Mayor for her actions while holding the office and for her mismanagement of Village funds. Where are the "black leaders" who love to be on tv in support of the residents who received those unlawful $500 tickets or at least a real lawyer who would take up a class action lawsuit against the mayor for those unlawful tickets? The recount was grossly mishandled but there needs to be legal actions in the works concerning the Mayor of a criminal investigation type and also for the residents concerning those $500 fines so many received. If no actions are taken then good luck with the damage she will do through the next year and a half or so (maybe I don't have the timing right) because like all spoiled kids and bullies... as long as they get away with their bad behavior they will only be empowered to be worse. You all have many of your fellow Americans praying for you all around the country, don't give up or give in to these injustices. Please vote wiser in the future (all levels of govt) and elect someone more like Trustee House for Mayor.

Corruption runs deep at the State level there. Also...it's a deep blue State. So Springfield or Cook County isn't usually aggressive about going after these people, especially when they are from the same political party. That's why she's free to do whatever she wants. That's what gave her the confidence to dress up as Nino Brown for an official board meeting and demand payment. Illinois is a pretty safe space for this kind of stuff.

I’ve seen a video where the mayor is rolling with a large motorcade of police/security while she is moving around the village. What is the reason for the large security presence in such a small village? This is the type of thing seen in third world countries by local overlords and corrupt officials to protect them from disgruntled citizens and its being flaunted right out in the open in the U.S of A. I really feel for you good hardworking, tax paying people who are getting it stuck to you.
She's gonna spend the rest of her life in prison. She won't be sentenced to life in prison, but she'll talk every judge she sees into denying parole and adding months for contempt when she attempts to overrule the judge.
