Your 3:73s should rev out around 130-135…in 4th..I wouldn’t change it…

@@prestonsarlo you should still be able to make a pass without going into 5th…There is tons of documentation on this but I guess tire size could vary it a few mph…

yeah…not sure what your doing wrong but i have a 02 gt fbo e85 v1 s trim and make 458hp and 440tq and i ran 11.6 at 122. your doing something wrong or making 300hp

There’s definitely a lot more on the table. 500 crank, so what about 430rwhp? You SHOULD be running low 12’s high 11’s around 115-120mph depending.
It is most likely around 460 range I have to take it back to the dyno to confirm but yes there is a lot left for it to do
@@prestonsarlo I think your main issue is traction. Once you hooked your car was going fast.
Facts, I ran 11.98 @ 117 with 430 hp and the car could’ve ran maybe 11.7ish with more track time.

I have a 00 gt had it since 04 it has 32k currently. I haven't ran it since I was 18 but I was running better times than that with a few bolt ons. Pro 5.0 shifter BBK shorty to x to Mac muffler BBK cold air 75mm throttle body upper intake steeda pulleys and 3.73s. I want to get it back out and supercharge it. I figure ill be in the 11s.

@@prestonsarlo those launches were decent enough. Faster than when I was on street tires and I was still running 13.4. Something can't be right.

Not exaggerating. Not lying. I truthfully don’t have an exact number to the wheels at the moment so it just makes more sense to put 500 because I know it’s at least making that to the crank. Plus that is how everyone I’ve ever seen do it.

You need to heat those tires up more for better launches. I have a 99 GT automatic with a supercharger. I had it dyno'ed and it makes 465whp. With Nitto 555s on the factory 17s my car has no issues leaving the hole. My fastest time to date in the 1/4 was 12.2 at 119mph. I don't remember the 60ft.

Must have been a bad 60'. 555 or 555r? My auto with 452rwhp went 11.66@118mph on a 275/40/17 Toyo Proxes drag radial with 1.66 60'.
@@wallyc7349 555R Do you have an aftermarket stall? I am leaving the line with as much rpm as possible. Anymore and the tire start to spin slightly. Because I have a Vortech the boost doesn't kick in at lower rpm. Are you running a roots style? I know that would help improve 60 or even 100 ft times. I am also running 3.73 gears and I know a higher gear set would help the 60ft times. What gears are you running?
Fire suit because you have a supercharger? Is that a track requirement or your own? I've ran 10's in a t-shirt. Crossing at 5300rpm is not perfect gearing. If the car was actually running what it should based on power, maybe it will when you get a clutch and shifter, you'd be crossing at 6300 which is perfect.
Track requirement because of supercharger and yeah once I get the new clutch in I am curious where it will be trapping at

Need to ditch those radials and get some bias ply tires those radials going to kill the drivetrain car is a stick needs rebound and car has 31 spline rear would be dumping that clutch it can take it but maybe not the trans LOL wouldn’t be slipping the clutch that much tho going to roast that clutch just some tips to see some good times!
I agree but like I said this isn’t a track car. It goes the the track maybe 3-4 times a year so until then I use the radials because I also use them on the street

This is really simple physics
I haven’t read through all the comments and I typically don’t. Been following your channel for a few weeks. Looking at the trap time, looks like your New Edge is right at around 395hp give or take a few. It’s definitely no 500hp. I used to own a 4V Cobra with a small pulley and ported blower and it ran way faster than that. Mine was right around 550hp.
Yeah it’s probably right around 400-415. I use crank numbers in the title of the video like all UA-cam’s do lol
No worries. I like how you narrates. Get a good clutch and keep at it. If you grew up seeing New Edge Mustangs, there is no need to go S550. NE Mustangs are special to us because we lived in a time where pureness defined us, not the 10 speed auto rev junk today.

@@prestonsarlo if you have cams you should be shifting higher than the stock limiter. Id shift at 6300. I shift my stock cammed car at that
@@TurboTurdBurglar my limiter is at 6200 and tuner told me to keep it under 6k to keep it safe
This thing doesn’t make anything near 500 hp barely 350 rwhp. A 2015 is barely even 400 crank and passes low 12s stock

My supercharged 3v makes 427whp and the best I’ve ran was a 12.5 with a 2.1 60ft. Think you’re probably making around 400
Well considering I blew out the clutch that was rated for 400hp in 3 passes says something different. You are also basing those numbers of not even my best pass lol
