Thank you so much for doing this!!! I know nothing about electronics, but my son loves science & we homeschool. When we received his kit I was very unsure about how much we needed do discuss the objectives as he moved along. It’s just very helpful he can now do each project on his own & have a reference video to check out when he is finished. Why the company has not done this is beyond me, but you are so awesome! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
also if for those of u who don't know, if u connect the motor so its + side is towards the - on the battery/voltage source the fan will fly away when u turn it of
I just have to point out as this was mentioned several times in the video. Electricity travels from negative to positive. This is important when diodes and transistors come into play. For electrons to flow through diodes, the symbol (triangle) must be pointed towards the more negative side of the circuit. While the resistor does serve as a purpose of preventing thermal runaway, it's main point is to drop voltage on the back end of the diode allowing the forward side of the diode to be more negative.
devant249 That is the Snap Circuits AC-adapter block. It's a separate item you can buy that includes the B6 block and AC adapter providing you 3V, 5V, 6V (and potentially 9V) outputs. Handy when you don't want to go through batteries.
Oh that's awesome! I didn't even know they sell power sources! I thought he modified something to make the power source... Lol. :L I getting 2 of those for sure.
Adam Correia No need to get 2. The one they sell allows you to change from 3V to 6V. On a side note, I have found some projects that work with batteries that don't work with the plug-in power source. Haven't been able to figure out why.
also from snap circuits sound onwards the original speaker is replaced with sp2 which is usually yellow but there are rare red sp2 models to. the sp2 speaker is very similar to sp except it is louder and has a 32 ohm resistance
snap circuits made the probably the smartest integrated circuit called u29 and its the led mc (micro controller) it has 2 7 segment display leds, a micro controller and other supporting parts. the microcontroller is a mini computer that can be programed to do diffrent things, including monitoring things and making things happen. it hat a special interface that makes it easy to use. the micro controller in the u29 is called the picaxe 082 and has 21 arcade games programed inside of it
My son was confused because at the top and bottom right corners the diagram says to somehow connect a 1 length wire, and we checked this video to make sure we had it right. Anyone know what is up with that?
I'm a student at MIT and my brother (7 yrs old) is super obsessed with snap circuits. I want to help him take his electronics interest to the next level so that he can work on personal projects by himself. My friend and I wanted make snap circuit extension booklets, science manuals, additional electronic snap parts, and handheld programming devices. Just wondering, is this something you would also be interested in? If so, join our mailing list at @t.

Great video
I got all parts 4700mf capacitor and hand crank too
can you do more snap circuits set projects

So whats b6? I only know b1 and b2 (battery case and solar panel)

Cool!

You can get parts here: cs-sales.net/sncirepa.html, or on amazon.

What is name your practical equipment ?????

Hays Coleman boi I have a red speaker bc I have SC-300
Hays Coleman Actually, the SP Red Speaker was used in the Circuit Maker 40 and 125 sets, but the SP2 Speaker was featured in Circuit Maker 200.
Great video! My project 10 wasn't pulsing the light and I see I wired up the Alarm IC incorrectly. Thanks
That Music Sounded like happy bithday
BugsNRoo it is.
It is
The wistle chips is a buzzer, so if you connect it to a transformer. You can make it buzz
+NeXTSTORMING yes but it can also act like a speaker if u connect it to an ic that makes sounds

+Hays Coleman u29 is ex clusive to snap circuits arcade which was released this year and i got it this week
I read that Snap Circuits LEDs have internal 33ohm resistors. So, is an additional 100ohm resistor actually needed?
It’s to teach you that regular LEDs need the resistor. And the older sets don’t have those resistors.
That B6 saved my parent sooooo much money. I have 95% of the collection and that B6 has save hundreds of dollars on batteries
I use to have these in my old apartment it was so much fun playing with it with my brother but we moved and idk where they are now
Why should the positive side of the fan be on the side of the positive power side?
This allows the motor to spin normally, without the fan flying off.
What happens if the power cut off from the plug

A spacer for uneven height
I am interested in purchase this circuits modules, plz guide. From.pakistan
If you didn't know. i never use resistor for led cuz it nake it darker
But could burn it out if you don’t use it

So
I'm getting the extreme sc-750 kit cause I love electric kits
0:36 you meant “open circuit”
Clap on light instead of noise?
PokemonFan0111 That is possible if you replace the speaker with the lamp or LED.
its ok that ur alarm ic doesnt make any other sounds; mine makes the other sounds

Does anyone have a pdf of questions I can use for 9th graders in Physics Applications?
Gene Newcomb Our recommendation for a set in a school is Snap Circuits STEM, it has quiz questions for a lot of the circuits in it.
when I did project 2 the blade flew off
Flip the motor, as having it the other way will make it fly off, as that’s exactly what project 11 is.
my L1 is broken cuz i put it on 24v
I use this kit in school
I do to
My school has these
devant249 is being answered. Batterys(B1) and the 3V outlet connecter(B6) are power sources.
To the makers of this video:Is this true?
3:43 I heard a sound from the speaker
when the circuit is turned off it's called an open circuit
hi bro let's collab
You messed up
