Locals don’t go to the Quarter on Friday nights! There is so much more to the area than Bourbon Street, and so much more to the city than the French Quarter. Too bad for you. You’ll miss the most interesting city in this country bc this little clip is all you see of it.
Bourbon Street is a mess, but everything else is cool. I love the French Quarter... looking forward to going back!

I was born there. I believe the architecture is Spanish actually. Bourbon street is where all the tourists go to get loaded and it smells like urine and trash.

NO! You can still multiple jazz bands etc on the street most nights, as well as in the clubs.
That’s why I want to go the jazz I’m about to go to New Orleans in May for a Cruise
Was in NO for a week at the Jazz Fest. Spent about 2/3 hrs in the Quarter total, never went back as it’s really not that much fun or impressive. Way more things to see/do. Our taxi driver from the airport became our personal tour guide and showed us places that most tourists don’t even know exist.

i went back in 2017, some businesses were really nice but it was just overcrowded and just remember, thats not water in the street. lol

Cara é como o funk, a noite toda aqui no Brasil mas com um porém, no final da barulheira os caras pagam uns caras pra limpar as frentes das casas mas mesmo assim é horrível pois é uma falta de respeito com os moradores pois tem crianças,idosos e pessoas que tem que dormir pra trabalhar no outro dia. There's street cleaners that come every morning and clean the streets
Very sad to see so much garbage on the streets, looks too dirty to have fun. Also, so many people without smiles on their face…bad vibrations for such a fun, happening place. The ones dancing at least live up to the spirit the place could have…wish people could be better and throw their trash in the bins.

Yes.. you will think it rains every night because they have to hose off the streets every morning.. they have a big water truck that sprays streets with soap water. Smells like Pot, Piss, and Puke 24/7 every day of week.

It wasn't until I was 10 minutes in that I heard a lick of jazz (talented young man on the street with the sax). It may have been something that made New Orleans famous, but I guess no one cares any more? That sucks
I worked in a hospital ER for 13yrs before I retired. I put up with all of the drunks and meth heads that I could stand, and I got paid for it. I'll be damned if I'm going to pay a crap load of money to feel like I've gone back to work.
