no it does not. the only way stealth works is with EM / IR / CS signatures. the only way you can actually turn on stealth is to turn weapons and shields off. the eclipse has a very low cross section because it is flat so when you are facing a target directly they have less of a ship facing them to pick up. and the minimum distance you can see the eclipse is low enough that not even the slightest EM spike from pinging ( Pings do not raise your EM BTW ) is low enough that you can get in and fire a torp even from outside detection range. lowering power on the MFD's do not effect overall EM right now also. if you truly want to min max you can equip your eclipse with ballistics However Stealth components have no effect in the game at this stage so just run Military grade A. the size 9 torps you want to use for close range ground targets is the Argos because they have a minimum fire range of 2.5k ish and by that distance. best case scenario is the target spots you coming in around 5 or 6k but by that time they have little time to react. ALSO in the current patch in the game Seeker (EM) torps ignore chaf and flares and can be launched from a much greater distance to target, thus giving you the stealth advantage of not being detected and the target being unable to dodge them ( unless they are in a very very fast ship and go full gas ) but in Atmosphere it is a very very low chance they are fast enough to avoid the Seeker torpedo. Also IF you are detected by a target your signature is masked for a few seconds by the torp you have just fired so they are usually unable to actually target lock your ship and instead lock the torpedo coming in due to the heat emitting from the torpedo its self. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk and have a nice day everyone.
@@runescapeppl41 when a player pings you can indeed see it. but it is very feint and 99.9% of players will not see it. so yes you are indeed correct but the reality of the matter is it is near impossible to see in normal light and settings. older versions of the game you would see the blue bubble pings but in its current state its not a thing like that anymore.

@@toxic1628 All of this and you still don't know that you can see with your EYES someone pinging from large distances away

haha nice video enjoyed it.
That's far from stealth
Good one
Funny you could be less stealthy only by firing main guns as well XD
