fitness enhancing program. It's for people who fail the PRT or are close. So it's usually 3 days a week after class for an hour. That is additional to your mandatory PT in the morning.
Oh, should have known it went soft and gentler since I got out. "Back in my day" (man does that make me feel old) we called it the fatboy program. I had a coner chief on the boat, in charge of the PRT program threaten to put me on it because I refused to waste time undressing to be weighed. I was 155 with my full uniform on, including boots.
Amazing song 😂 Makes me miss good ol nnptc. Yeah the shit sucked but looking back, being in Charleston SC and your only job is to study? And you spend the weekends with friends and stuff, with Folly beach nearby, that was dope. Probably the best time in the Navy. Stay strong nukes. I’m dumb as shit and I made it through, 6 and out. Got a nice job now too. But honestly wish I took more advantage of my Naval career instead of hating it all the time! Hope y’all can find ways to make the most of it. And put more money into TSP!! 5% minimum 😡😡
EM(N), did 4 years aboard SSBN-734G. I understand that the Navy Nuclear Program is a mixed bag for some, and I certainly had my shit times in the fleet. But, to any current or aspiring Nukes, the process is well worth it and years from now, you will look back on those times fondly.
NNPTC was the easiest part of my military service. This song holds true, and I love it - but don't think it gets easier, especially if you're brave enough to go Subs.
I was there in 2009. It was only slightly better before it joint base. Well, The Dive was great before. But yup, pretty much the same back at that time.
I haven't laughed this hard in 6 months
Wait...
I've been here for 6 months.
"Enjoy your time outside the Rickover."
Have you been experiencing any covid like symptoms shipmate?
Rickover disliked this video
Good.
Man that is awesome. Even though I went to NNPTC 25 years ago, somethings never change!
Yep, never changes. Class 9502. One of the last in Orlando.
It's about God damn time. You played this for me and kratochvil like 2 years ago at the smoke pit.
HEYYYYY
Dude this is going to go platinum. Master Chief approved. 😂

Years later, id just like to say: I proved that its possible to lose rank over 2 hw problems. Wish yall luck :)
I remember that lol
2024 and still enjoying this
Thanks for putting my experience of NNPTC into words... even better; into song! you did a great job! :D
I'm here now, and it's still the same lol
Yo what the fuck is up Blythe
It's worse now with covid. We dont even get the dive.

I miss The Dive. Karaoke night was the bomb.
I was there then (9108) and it's apparent that some things remain the same.
I miss hearing the making of this out at the smoke pit. Good times. Sad to say a couple of us that were out there with us have passed.

Dude I remember hearing this for the first time at the smoke pit. 10/10
Oh fuck. I'm having flashbacks. 25-4s...still not as bad as the fleet lol.
Glad to know that some things haven’t changed here. Currently rocking the “fuck it we ball” mentality. I love the Rickover
went to NNPTC 4 years ago. Worst 8 months of my life were spent in those halls
Just got 25-4 because of E-Funds 4👍
Ive been trying to find this video forever.
I remember A-School got put on ordered quiet for desecration of a flag when it had ended up being some t-track douchecanoe. That sucked.
Talking about the dude who stamped noforn on the flag?

Holy shit. I remember Lawrence singing this shit at the smoke pit all the time. Today, it popped up on my UA-cam suggested with 49k views. Good shit.
25/4 and on FEP, wonder why you fall asleep in class.
I was class 9502. Worst we had was 35-5. What is FEP? I was S-20 after my GPA dropped from 3.6 to 3.4.
