i love this song when i watched bojack and this cover it's awesome!
Thank you Patricio. I'm pleased you love Last Hurrah. I feel this is much like what is to be found on Vetiver's first two records. Take care.
This is a lovely piece of music, beautifully played. I’ve never heard of Vetiver until now, so thank you.
You are very kind. It pleases me you have found Vetiver.
Flawless
Brilliant!
beautiful!
This is awesome you're really talented
That is very kind, thank you.
Ditch the consequences
Gimme just the last hurrah
Make it linger like a spring
Gives wintertime to thaw
Trouble comes easy
I dodge what I can
How'd it all get so
Out of hand?
For the aches I still take
These baby blues
Let the memories escape
Now go, tomorrow's due
Pay and go easy
I hear your demands
Hope they don't get too
Out of hand
Silence relieves me
Speaks when I can't
Tells me it's getting
Out of hand
Came looking for the lyrics man, ended up being one. Here you go
Ditch the consequences
Gimme just the last hurrah
Make it linger like a spring gives winter time to thaw
Trouble comes easy
I dodge what i can
How'd it all get so...
Out of hand
For the aches i still take
These baby blues
That the memories escape
Like old tomorrows do
Pay and go easy
I hate your demands
Hope they don't get too...
Out of hand
INSTRUMENTAL
Silence relieves me
Speaks when i can't
Tells me it's getting...
Out of hand
End
I appreciate it, thank you. However, I hear things a little differently, such as "For the aches I still take, These baby blues; That the memories escape, Like old tomorrows do". This is a reference to taking Valium in order to escape the scurf of harsh memories and feelings. It is a good thing that we interpret things differently for it makes the song resonate personally.
@@sam-lynch you're right. I just copied and pasted from google. Will edit it.
@@sam-lynch By the way your cover is amazing and I can't even think how underrated Vetiver and Fruit Bats are.
@@rajashsankarbordoloi2390 That is very kind of you to say. Incidentally, I saw them play in Brighton back in 2008, and it was one of the best live performances I have ever heard. I agree with you totally. They balance their instruments perfectly and the song writing is beautiful. I have no idea why they have remained largely unheard of all these years, as though they are a well kept secret...
@@sam-lynch I've watched their lives on youtube 😁. But he has amazing control over his voice. On the other hand Fruit Bats kind of has a genre of its own.
Wonderfully played
Would you be able to provide the chords played?
Thank you, sure - I have put the chord shapes I use into the description box for you! Hope you find your way with it! Take care
Absolutely gorgeous sir! Curious, what tuning did you use?
This is very kind of you to say. Thank you. A rare occasion when my guitar was in standard tuning, with a capo on 2nd.
Just in case you are not already aware, I added the chord shapes I used into the description box a little while ago. All the best.
