This false religion kept me in bondage for 28 years. I was not led to Jesus, I was not led to the bible, and I was not filled with the Holy Spirit. I was taught to do vain traditions and outright idolatry. Thank God I am free from this dead church. I am born again and filled with the Holy Ghost. I know my redeemer now. His name is Jesus and He deserves the praise. Not mary, not saints, not the pope, not the priest. O thankyou Jesus for the work you have done in my life. I KNOW WHOM I HAVE BELIEVED ON!

The point of it is to effort to turn away from sin. By the way, there are degrees of sin and what was portrayed in the video would not be anything worth confessing so that was a bit misleading. If people think that they need to confess every minor thing all the time, that is something called scrupulosity which is a pathological level of guilt. The church helps people to not be that way.

Super long prayer intentions get me every time. I try so hard, but by the 20th intention I don't even know what's being said. There's one parish near me that routinely has 5 minute intentions during mass. You end up feeling like you need an intention for the patience of the parishioners.

I had a little talk with a Baptist about his accusation that we Catholics worship idols and Saints. It was difficult to explain but I simplified it this way. I opened a Vogue Magazine and asked him what do we find inside this magazine. He answered pictures of "models" wearing nice clothes, make ups and perfume. So I took the word "model" and told him that these women are in the magazine to model their beauty and choices of clothes and perfumes. Then I told him that the Saints and idols are models too and they are not in the magazines but inside the church, because they are our models for their virtues, like obedience, merciful, generosity, kindness, suffering, offering their lives to the service of God and etc. We only worship one God but we have a lot of models. They were people like us but have lived exemplary lives and they are placed there for us to follow or imitate. The guy just stayed silent.

I'm from an European, traditionally Catholic country (90+% Catholics), from a very Catholic area, from a very very Catholic family, yet I've seen not even half of all this.
For some of the parts I'm familiar with (like not eating meat on Fridays), I get laughed at by other Catholics of all ages, since apparently it makes you "old-fashioned" or "radical".

I recognise some of these, but I'm a total exception for someone my age where I come from, because I was raised very traditionally. My Catholic peers here wouldn't know a single thing, I'm sure. Especially confessions have gone reeeaally out of fashion, if I may say so. The only one accepting the fact that I refuse to eat meat on Fridays is my boyfriend...and he's Muslim. The other Christians only roll their eyes at me.

So I'm standing in line at the grocery store today and It occurs to me you can totally tell I'm Catholic from my groceries. More then that you can tell I'm disorganized! Two cans of fish... +LuMar Cor OH Dear please tell me you know what a fast is! Catholics don't eat meat of friday cause their fasting, in a similar but not same way Jesus went for 40 days in the desert without eating. Their is more to it then just going without to get closer to Jesus's experience, but it's a big part of why I do it! Oh and certain foods is not really the important part of that fast! It's that I do it as a fast! So that I can receive with more thankfulness! So ya 1 Timothy 4 has something to do with why i practice it, but not in the way you seem to think! Please don't tell me you understand so VERY little of Christianity that you don't understand that!
Second people who follow Sola Scriptura should avoid throwing the "Demonic" word around since it came to Luther while he was manipulated during a excrement fight with the devil resulting in it's invention! Especially when they attack the blessedness of Jesus's mother! Rosary beads come from the psalms which is why the original rosary contained 150 Hail Mary's one for each of the psalms. Which comes from the practice of praying the psalms present in Jewish tradition. Further that blessed woman has been the Greatest missionary for Jesus on top of giving birth to him! Her appearance Guadalupe on the tilma converted almost a whole nation! So before you call that demonic you had better read Mark 3:26 and stop disrespecting her cause she's entirely out of your league!
Oh and thanks for making the accusation of "Demonic" our Good Lord knows I don't respect false witnesses! That's the best indicator of such. followed by and I quote "killed millions of born again Christians" Better check a real history book. ALL that being said, it's the examples of how people follow the Sola's that tell me the origin of the Sola's! To speak of knowing the tree by it's fruit! And you know what you don't find in the bible is Sola Scriptura which makes it self refuting! I have never seen so much false witness and confusion then brought out by the practice Sola Scriptura! So much attempts to justify sins with Sola Fide! So much unloving behavior as those with pointy fingers who attempt to tell me what I believe and who I follow! None of this I find of any value or truth! It all just smells of desperation! Truth is what I want, and having explored the Sola's i find no truth's and will not practice them!
For your information I don't follow "Emperor of Rome" LOL, I follow the Keys of Peter and the Seat of Moses! Not in the man, but the church! You know the one Jesus founded and that is where my loyalty is, with Jesus and HIS Church, not Luther's, not John Calvin's not, Huldrych Zwingli's or anyone else's! 1 Timothy 3:15

LuMar Cor you obviously were not a full Catholic cause if you were you wouldn't have misrepresented fasting as being "Forbid and order them to abstain from certain foods". You would have understood the practice not misrepresented it! Unless you were being dishonest and you wouldn't do that right?
If you were catholic you would know that Catholic's condemned the practice of Idolatry but that Iconography can be helpful in the practice of faith! Similar to looking at a picture of a loved one to help you remember them! You don't believe that your loved one is really inside that picture do you? Now why misrepresent Catholicism that way if you understood that? It's just entirely dishonest and further ignores the icons God him self gave us! Remember the ark of the covenant? Finally if you were Truly Catholic you would not have excepted the utter lies you've been told without checking the historical records first! Things like the Early Church Fathers! Ever read Ignatius of Antioch? Do you even know who he was? How about Clement of Rome? Polycarp? These were the bishops that the apostles themselves appointed! Oh and yes they were extremely Catholic mater of fact Ignatius is the first use of Catholic!
