This mite help my autistic 6 year old son to potty for himself , I never thought of this before. I've been trying for so long to help my son to potty and get out of pull ups for many years now. I keep saying he will learn on his own time and I feel i don't have much more time on my side. At my son's IEP meeting for school I got a note from his autistic teacher about her not helping him next year with potty training! She mentioned she will let my son sit in his own defficents all day if she has too for punishment if he poops his pants.; She said she doesn't want to do it anymore and she asked the principal for permission to do just so to that! And my response was not pretty at all. I told her I will have her job if she does anything to my son, she will be handled by my attorney if I find one once of negligence towards my son. I personally don't think or believe she can get away with this negligence of disrespect and being lazy with our autistic children in school it's against the rules ; please I need some opinions and real help with this? I've been so worried sick for my son's own well being when he goes to school next year! It's not my son's fault for his condition he can't talk to tell me or you anything and I have to accept that as his momma but these children are beautiful and different vin there own way and they can't help them self s .. I'm mad & hurt, but it's got to be done and I want to Thank you from the bottom of my heart! This might help him I'm going to try for him! 😟💖😟 thanks again!
Then make a electric scooter with a toilet and anti septic like a rv and a bidet and if the child has difficulty staying on the seat strap their legs to the seat until they understand how to use the toilet
@ryanorourke3542 Hey, we have a daughter exactly the same. Tried everything, still can't train her. Getting stress from school now as she strips off her clothes. I can empathise with you.
My daughter is 4 yrs old but she doesn't communicate with us verbally yet. Does this mean we can't toilet train her yet since she doesn't listen to us?
My 4 year old doesn’t communicate much and only for his benefit but he’s socially aware (meaning I can command him to do something and he’ll understand) so far taking him to the bathroom regularly helps.
But my son eats mainly veggies and fruits and 💩 every other day if that he rarely eats proteins or pasta he might have cereal but loves yogurt we tried Sneaking meats in but he can tell by flavors and texture
Maybe get proteins from legumes in that case. Chickpeas, lentils... pretty much all beans are good sources of protein. Plus there's a decent supply of protein in some vegetables, so there's that. We don't need as much protein as we generally think and we get it from some unexpected sources too. Hope this helps.
@Debrah Martinez Literally same. I son doesn't have a diagnosis yet, is all a suspicious from his daycare teacher. We are waiting for the first appointment. And I'm still in denial too. Because he is so lovely, cariñoso and emphatic. But he has crisis too.. I don't know what to think. I'm so stressed out by this that I'm losing my hair. And i can't afford for diapers no more.
@Debrah Martinez I know! I don't want that too. I'm worry about his future. I have diabetes type 1 and I'm a single mom. I'm all he has. I'm also worried about what is happening right now with kids with autism. (Read Jk Rowling's essay about it). I'm from Costa Rica, where are you from?
My son is 3 and I pray he speaks soon and becomes fully potty trained
Me to :(
Same
Same....
We're having a hard time with daycare because our son is not potty trained
Mine is 5 ...
Fabuloso cleaner in the toilet. Add some to the bowl to turn the water purple. When the kid pees it "magically" turn clear.
silverpairaducks that is an awesome idea!! I have a daycare, it will be a great tool for Me
Thanks for the tip! I’ll be trying this tomorrow.
where i can buy them
Just don't clean your toilet with bleach then, this will turn into mustard gas
