I am obsessed with this clasp. I started and stopped bead weaving several years ago when I started making jewelry but picked it right up again recently when I started watching your tutorials. This clasp is a game changer. Very customizable and beautiful! I just finished my first, of what I know will be many, and I already love it. Thanks for these tutorials!
I just made the Cleopatra bracelet (love) after making the Spring Fling bracelet (love again) and was hoping you had a vid on your beaded toggle clasp and here it is! Love, love, LOVE! Thank you for. your beautiful designs and your incredible generosity sharing all of this with us.
Gorgeous, I think it's such a great alternative to be able to adapt and personalize a clasp like this. I love the colors you used & the ombre look. Thanks Stephanie, you rock! 🌸💕💗
love beaded clasp, i don't use metals in necklaces and bracelet, buttons or beaded clasps, but yours is the most beautiful and perfect one ever seen, thanks a lot for tutorial, love ❤️❤️❤️
I love these! you can make a few in neutral colors and have them ready for future pieces. I can't tell if there is room in your bar or not but one way to make the bar more rigid is to insert some bugle beads in the center before adding the bicones to the top. For wider tubes, I insert a few irregular 6/0 seed beads. Now that I am thinking about it, one could also use a section of skinny dowel or middle section of a cotton swab.
Just wanted to add that when starting the circle for beginning the circular peyote, I like to tie a square knot to prevent the work from trying to undo itself and loosening. To prevent the thread from getting tangled into the circle of beads, I make the square knot a few inches away from the ends of the beads and tighten it to cinch the ends together. It works better for me, might for others as well. 🙂
Love all your tutorials Stephanie. You're projects are so classy & elegant. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. This clasp will let me finish those bracelets that have been sitting there waiting for me to add a clasp.
I have so many bracelets made and keep looking for the right clasp. I found it!! So happy, thanks a million Stephanie. Do you have anything that shows how to attach it to the bracelet? I seen in the comment maybe next video!! Yeah!!
maybe you don't read this comment but i want just say this is the best beaded toggle clasp tutorial on UA-cam i found, just say to you thanks a bunch ❤️❤️❤️
This was amazing . After a few times , I made a toggle . You are a great teacher ! Starting thread in middle is a game changer . Goimf to try that with a beaded bead that I have been trying to perfect. Thanks for all!!
I love this toggle clasp. In my experience the bar would collapse over time and use. I found that if I put a small mm of plastic tubing on the inside of the bar, it prevents this from happening over time and it gives the bar some structure and stability... just like a metal bar toggle.. Try it and see. As always.. love your vids!
dear stephanie I love your tutorials. you explain everything so well and are so patient. I really want to make a toggle claps but I have a problem. I made a bracelet but if I start with 40 seed beads it becomes too big for this bracelet. can you maybe explain to me if it works with less beats and if i have to use an even number to make this one. I will post a picture of the bracelet then I hope you can tell me how many beads I can start with to make the circle smaller. thank you so much for all your tutorials i have learned so much Eem from you and hope you keep going and we can keep making beautiful jewelry where you give us the full video and explanation. good luck with your videos. I always look forward to it because I haven't been making beaded jewelry that long myself 🌹💐🌺♥️
Thank you so much for your kind comment! The finished toggle is only 7/8 inch (less than 25mm) in width. You can try 38 or 36 for a smaller ring. Just be aware that the outside embellishment (the bicones and 11/0) may or may not come out correctly.
Hi Stephanie, very good tutorial for the toggle clasp. I've been asked to make hoop earrings, if I use the ring part of your toggle, and leave it open, would the beads curve?
Beautiful, great for people with metal allergy. Could I do it in only miyuki or toho seed beads, as I don't have delica's but a hudge stock of seed beads.
i love your videos! i'm very new to this, still in the just watching videos stage, but i hope to actually choose a project & get to work soon. your videos make me more confident to get started.
Stephanie was the first video I watched when I wanted to bead. I watched for two months before I got brave enough to try. Stephanie is a great teacher.

Hi I've been trying to make the round part and it gets all out of shape the beads pop up through the middle when zipping together. Am I putting to much tension on it?
@bronzepony Beaded Jewelry - thank you for another wonderful tutorial. Your kindness and generosity have done so much to keep me sane in these terrible times (I replay random videos just so I can hear your gentle voice). FWIW I generally have shied away from self-made clasps, but decided to give this one a try and I'm glad I did. I really like the proportions of the loop portion. Other versions I've made have been too big and have looked clumsy. One question - why didn't you use this as the opportunity to teach odd-count peyote? Doing the toggle with even-count means that the attachment point will never be centered. But I do love how you embellish the end of the toggle and I will be using that for my own design. Again, thank you for being such a beacon for the beading community in these difficult times. Stay healthy and stay safe.
Thank you for your lovely comment Lita🌻😊🙏 I’m so glad the videos are helpful during these difficult times. I’m not sure if odd count would work with circular peyote. I haven’t played much with peyote beyond bezels, PeyTwist and of course flat. My next video uses flat odd count and I have a video under my Peyote Playlist for learning odd count. Please share your ring with me as I haven’t done odd count in a toggle ring yet🥰 I’d be happy to share it with the community.
@@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry I'm sorry that I wasn't clear (had a bad day yesterday). I meant odd count on the toggle bar! If you do even count flat peyote on the toggle bar, you can't center the attachment point.
Thank you for sharing Stephanie, a beautiful toggle clasp💕, makes me very curious where we gonna put it on😉😁 (olololol,😂😂😂 this was the first thought I had when I started this video (3 toggleclasps in line at the beginning of the video)) Thanks again🙏💐

Thank you Stephanie for another beautiful component to finish our pieces. Excellent and entertaining as always :) I didn't hear you mention a finished measurement for this piece. Can you post the finished size?

I’m glad you’re making another attempt. Take it slow and stop after each round. If you get frustrated, stop and pick it up later. I’m a Facebook message away for help and encouragement 😊
I am having a difficult time with this when I start on the other side. I can get about half way through and then my beads are difficult to put into place. Could it be my stitching is to tight? If so, how loose should it be?
The interior Delicas are challenging to get in between the 15/0’s. Sew them on and if they are slightly wonky don’t worry about it. The second round should help but the zipping really puts everything together. If it doesn’t work the first time, try again and loosen your tension on the interior 15/0’s. Use some of the hints I talk about in the video as to holding the pieces and pushing the ring around to help get the beads into place. Let me know how it goes 😀
You know what I'm going to say! Love this. I hadn't thought of the brick stitching the top of the toggle, that is a great idea. I've seen a daisy spacer used at the ends as well.
