    SU-75 is a total pipe dream. I'd be shocked if they make a single test model in the next two decades.

      Dude... The one you see here is a non-flying prototype! It is not a mockup! A non-flying prototype has almost all the systems and structures needed to test radar signature, and avionics tests that can be done on the ground! That means by now you are already wrong! That one went over your head like a bumblebee over a bike rider´s helmet! 🤣

      You were half right. Non-flying yes, it was a fiberglass model. No internals, no cockpit, no nothing. Just like everything else Russia makes, they will claim all kinds of shit, it will never see, or live up to, just like the Su-57. Everyone has bailed on Russia, UAE,India, China, because Russia never has the technology they claim they do and what little they have uses all American of the shelf commercially evailable electronics in them like everything the have. They're still 30 years behind our 25 year old Raptor technology, ofcourse thatnprobly went over your head like a Raptor over the Russian military who couldn't hit it if it stood still for them! Hahahahahahahahahanahaha!

    Being around WPAFB, plus knowing the crap ATF decision, the F23 team had developed helmet based targeting system that worked. Don’t get me started on the rest of the F23 long term platform advantages+LT upgradability. +ability to carry larger diameter/length missiles. +GE motors. Your point is well taken how F22 inherited update limits have prevented progress.

    I have read that the F22 cockpit is too narrow to accommodate a full HMDS setup, that the helmet that the pilot would wear is just so much larger than the standard helmet that it limits the head movements of the pilot inside, simply because the F22 doesn't have a bubble canopy type like the F16, the inward sliding cockpit angles makes it very narrow. So that is why they are keeping the HUD.

      They're not worried really in the Raptor, nothing will be a threat to it until long after the NGAD is in service and its retired. Whatever is new then will be just as behind the NGAD as everyone is the Raptor now, if not more.

    • @Gripen90
      @Gripen90 4 місяці тому

      @@Cody38Superyet it has nothing to do with the fact it hasn't room for HMDS. The threat for the F22 comes within the States itself since they plan retirement in 2030's, while the F15 in shape of F15 EX Eagle II will outlive it in service.

    • @Cody38Super
      @Cody38Super 4 місяці тому

      @@Gripen90 I didn't say it had anything to do with HMDS...it has nothing to with the F-15 either! It has everything to with #1. It's made almost entirely out of composite material and doesn't have the same service life as an aluminum airframe. #2. It was never constructed with "upgrades" or "modularity" in mind because they were just trying to get the best murder machine they could in the air at the time. #3. The entire production facility was shut down and part of it used to build the F-35, so nothing new can be made for it and spare parts are limited in or able to be produced. #4. It costs too much to maintain. #5. The only reason we bought a few EX's, is not to replace or supplement Raptors but because we're building them anyway because they are not "EX's", they're "Q's" that the QATARI Air Force paid us a shit ton of money to produce and develop because their pilots are still flying C's and they don't want to maintain 35's ! ! And the final reason.....the NGAD will replace it with 5 wingmen each and usher in a new age of fighters and redefine air combat as the world knows it making the Raptor redundant! GET OFF THE HMDS and the F-15, it has nothing to do with either!

    • @Gripen90
      @Gripen90 4 місяці тому

      No reason to CAPS LOCK. Poster of the video asks/wonders why HMDS isn"t thought for the F22, it is great you know and have the answer, I am not debating it with you, I'm responding to his question.
      Yes I know the F22 isn't the same as the F15 as for service life, yet one cannot stop to see the ironi of the F22 to replace the F15 as air superiority fighter, getting outlived by an older airframe/design. replacing the plane that eventually get "replaced" yet

    Looks like an F35 copy. It makes sense they'd use existing parts, I mean, we often do the same thing. It's cheaper. Thrust vectoring will probably be on it. That seems to be a technology the other countries keep in their back pocket for some reason. Maybe to appear less capable. I really wanted the F15 Active to be a thing, as a kid.

    Something doesn't add up at about this thing. Is the Su-75 low on performance/payload or short on range? It doesn't have enough thrust to be fast and big. That means it must be small. How are they going to put fuel and weapons in that thing?

    It is obvious that the best option for China and Russia to catch up to NATO is to design and export competitive weapon systems to their allies. The issue is...they are limited on how competitive these systems can be because you cannot give away classified tech as well. You have to train and so on. But they are failing long before that. They are not able to create systems comparable to ours with a high likely hood of winning...without giving away trade secrets. I am sure they have the ability to design state of the art systems in house but that is not enough. And in that...NATO gave them and early...checkmate lol.

    Large wings on a Russian aircraft.... I'm seeing shades of MiG25 in that assessment. Russia is way behind on materials research, so the wing size might be compensating for heavy structure weight instead of maneuverability and payload.

    • @traviswalker8933
      @traviswalker8933 4 місяці тому

      The MiG-29 is pretty maneuverable without the large size so.

    • @mikepekarek5895
      @mikepekarek5895 4 місяці тому

      MiG29 is a bit different. It definitely does have a low wing loading, and significant lifting-body characteristics (like F15/F14 and newer). I'm just highly skeptical of Russian weapons programs after seeing various failures for years and years. T90S for India, Su57 might never be build in numbers that matter, the accuracy of their "precision" weapons isn't accurate at all. The list goes on. I'm highly skeptical of the Su75, both that it will ever exist much less reach numbers that matter on a battlefield. Meanwhile I think we've reached 1000 F35s, and the weakest spot on that program isn't the aircraft but the fools that tried to low-ball the supply chain like a military program is a McDonalds. Rumsfeld was a twat, and his "transformation" ideas caused years of delays and billions of dollars.@@traviswalker8933

    The SU-75, if ever built and taken into serial production, which even the Su-57 has failed in accomplishing, it wouldn't be any time before 2030, more likely 2035-2040. At which time, the Su-75 would proceed to get killed by a 50 year old design in the F22. Russia should have just played nice, gotten rid of their corruption, and tried to join the EU.
