Loved doing this when I was younger it holds well in the heat too and if u take care of it, it can seriously last 2-3 days, it will lose some curl over a few days but looks so cute in every changing stage imo. Also used to and still do cut up old pillow cases do this same thing with, if u use pillow case cut up long strips & u can do it with ur hair wet or dry I normally do mine damp and use hair products, then sleep in them over night, if ur tender headed it won’t make ur head hurt as bad as sleeping with the Bantu knots, just make sure to give enough hours for ur hair to fully dry or the curls won’t be set or give them same look as the bantu knots also be careful using pillow cases that shred too much bc you’ll have a bunch of loose strings all over ur hair I like to use a soft almost silk like pillow to make my strips.
