Tad's line about how long a kid plays a game before giving up and going back to fortnite reminded me, a few Christmases ago my very young cousin got a new Switch lite and a copy of Mario 3d Allstars. He was playing 64, I helped him with maybe 1 star and bowser, then he game overs on lethal lava land. And he sits there for a second with a sour face, puts the Switch lite aside and picks up his tablet and boots up Roblox and 20 seconds later is loudly giggling like hes having the time of his life.
I have been trough special education as a kid (i have turned out pretty alright i think(shin godzilla scares the shit out of me as it should)) I remember seening bright eyed Tad's who had no idea what they where doing but willing to give it their al
Also Tad, Always check your chair befor sitting down(kids at my school used to put thumb tags on chairs as a prank) and never leave any food or drinks out of sight.
If I had to guess, the reason why the kid was familiar with Shin Godzilla is because there's a Sonic creepypasta based off the movie that's popular with the kids.
People don’t know much at all about history, but the average person knows remarkably little about geography. My ex-girlfriend didn’t know that the United States had a capital city. I also asked her to name a single country that bordered France, or to point out France on a map and she couldn’t do either.
Oh boy it’s kino’clock once again! Time for some PRIME parasocial sloppa! Of note: - ITT Aleks and Tad learn the unfortunate reality that Icefrog knows how to make Dota…but ONLY knows how to make Dota. - Also: surprised to hear about the Jak and Daxter ROM scene here, could always use more people to Jak it to (that’s what we call hanging out in the Jak and Daxter community). - Doubly so that *those* were your posts of all time and not The Walrus and the Spawn of Nergal, given Tad’s TTRPG background.
i 100% agree with aleks about deadlock. it's not even that the devs are forced to work on it because valve allows people to just move to other projects if they want to and they're even hiring new people for it (they got the risk of rain guy to design a few heroes already) but they're just soooo slow and for some reason they just don't implement new stuff they've got made into the actual game. there's like an hour or two of hero lines just talking to eachother just sitting in the files unused. abrams' new model and textures perfectly functional. wraith has a bunch of new animations sitting there unused. holiday has been 90% finished for months and they just won't release her because ??? so the little content they do push is just banal number and map changes or things you wouldn't inmediatedly notice like new punch animations or wip map assets. Like who the hell thought it was a good idea to focus on a ranked mode for an invite only alpha build? why are they doing christmas models instead of something like proper animations or one model for an existing hero? why is every hero in the experimental mode so safe and kinda bland instead of something truly unique like tad mentioned? why does half the cast have a boring aa grenade just filling a skill slot?
Aleks talking about how the current Nintendo President is basically a literally who NPC suit is dangerously based. Ragnarok Online has always had dungeons that are quest locked, but the idea of Ragnarok Online having a main quest is just stupid to me. Like the entire point of pre-Renewal Ragnarok Online was that the only "main quest" that you're actively steered into doing is the Novice Training Grounds. You do that or you skip it, and then you just get dumped into one of the cities, figure it out from there. My understanding of Ultimate Trail is that it's supposed to be set before the Ocarina of Time Ganondorf, which basically reads to me as the Great Deku Tree saying "Link, before you enter me to slay the parasite within, I must ensure that you are ready. This is Senator Steven Armstrong. He will not hold back. Good luck.", like come on, that's the kind of thing you do as a joke.
Oh, I bet Sonic's bigger than before, I keep up with news of that hedgehog's inflation Addendum; I keep getting flamed by friends for saying I've seen everything ff14 does executed better in OTHER FINAL FANTASY GAMES and it's insane, generic mcgenericson himself must have translated it because there's no way the guy they worship as a god could have written The Chosen One remembers The War and has to stop The Evil from doing The War again
Okay, Aleks is further than I thought, I'm sorry to Aleks: the actual MSQ doesn't wake the fuck up in terms of interactive content until 4.3. I started in 5.2 and I was shook when a quest basically went "Hey, this solo instance is way different." Like the maps only develop for the Alexander raids, society quests, and Shadowbringers and Endwalker MSQ. also lmao this guy didn't quest with Mauci and the Seven and Seven Swords ;^) Also yeah remove the actual context of the quests and the story from the game? Yeah I did that to WoW when it was supposed to still be good and I didn't like it either Aleks. What the fuck do you think you're saying.

Aleks is slowly becoming the main character to life
My main issue with Deadlock is everyone I know is playing it so convincing them to play a good game with me is hard.

Did you hear they finally found Santa Clauses tomb? I wonder what kind of curse it'll give them if they disturb it.

You're a man now.
Aleks biking uphill a bunch made me think of that SpongeBob quote.
“Being on the run is great for your buns and thighs.”
YEAH BUNS AND TIES
Wait, this isn’t Boyz Bucks Perks Platinum!
Regarding the dunmer encounter, he probably took colloidal silver supplements at some point and it permanently discolored his skin

the guava flavour rockstar tastes like those cheap elastic plastic toys with the lights in them smell
What happened to joe and his movie boyz because they didn't upload in 2 years
The Bubby Balloon Bonanza of 2022. The only thing left was latex scraps and a comically large tack.
That FF14 rant vindicates me

we should start an LMTYA community opinion column somewhere, maybe in the discord or maybe as a seperate show

Dood, I just had this instinct you would upload something today, I was rewatching old episodes when I saw the notification, I'm so happy
You should really switch over to bluesky. It's the future of social media!
Once they add community notes. That feature is by far the funniest AND most useful tool. Group pressure works
