Snoot Game actually led to me finding my current best friend so it will always hold a special place in my heart. I got ending 1 during the first playthrough by genuinely trying to make the best decisions that I would genuinely make (Whenever I play a VN I always make the choices that I would make IRL) and that fucked with me, but ending 3 practically screamed at me "you can't go back into the past, choices made are choices done and time eventually runs out" and that REALLY fucked with me on a level I can't really put into words. Its genuinely impressive that Cavemanon one upped themselves with Wani and made an even better VN. Got ending 3 first time around (failed to confront Olivia in the rain) so maybe I'm improving as a person. Also the best part of Wani on a meta level is that all of the Snoot Game haters can't say anything negative about it. You can find a lot of people shitting on Snoot Game by saying that it's an unrealistic incel fantasy about a girl falling in love with a 4channer, but you can't say that about Wani because Inco is a normie. If you are reading this, for the love of God play Snoot Game, play Wani, or play both, but don't play neither.

Never judge a book by its cover. Snoot and Wani have their origins on the "hate" website 4chan and came out like roses in the end. Not a huge fan of visual novels but both games got praise from people who actually played them and hate from people who only see they came from 4chan.
If you were to end the podcast here (please don't) and move on, with IT Tad and Twitter artist Aleks, it would be the best podcast ending in history. Following the podcast for years and listening to every episode culminating to this, especially with the recent episodes that are very referential to past episodes and nostalgia based, it feels like it was all building up to this episode. The podcast topics were the surface level stuff you can enjoy, but the subplot of Tad and Alek's friendship and going through life's adversities and learning along the way was the true story. Fuck, I gotta go back and relisten to this podcast again sometime.
That talk about giving up an unhealthy relationship with a game is pretty much my experiences with Final Fantasy 14. I gave it up shortly after Yawntrail came out and I decided to do the crafting grind (If you know, you know, and I pray for your souls). After two long nighters of grinding materia and gambling hours away to get those bigger numbers, I talked with a friend of mine about the future of the game. The level cap is 100 now, which has pretty much been the level cap of every traditional Final Fantasy game, and we were postulating what they would realistically do. Something he said really stuck out to me, which was that even if they stopped the vertical progression at the level cap, they're still gonna find some way to make a new number go up, not much is really gonna change. I took a long look at all my crafting shit and all the grinding I've been doing and thought I'm not doing this for a whole goddamn year just for them to reset it all over again, I think I'm done. I also kinda thought my only worth as a friend for these people I've been playing with for 3 years was tied to the game, so I kinda got a little hasty and left our little server too. But thankfully, I was wrong on that one, we still hang out from time to time. It still feels pretty frickin weird though, not playing it anymore, not waking up and going on that grindset. I've just been kinda sitting around, figuring out what I want to do. Glad I'm still in the server, though. That's where I get the emoticon of Engineer screaming for Allah cuz I posted it a lot over there. I almost fuckin posted it on 9/11 on your server too but figured it woulda been in bad taste and pussied out.

As someone who has never been addicted to media, but was addicted to smoking. Understand its super easy to get roped into a routine with addiction. Even after quiting it still feels weird to drink my coffee without having a cigarette in my hand in the morning. Or taking smoke breaks. Or smoking after you eat.

I have a weird relationship with media in that if something is even passingly interesting, I'll probably just read about it on TVTropes and never go out of my way to watch/play it.
If FishStickOnAStick is a reliable source, Goodbye Volcano High is a trashfire. Or there's something that's a trashfire, I don't know, I'm not a visual novel scientist, that may have been a completely different game.
Conceptually I don't like visual novels where the player character is a faceless fuckboy. It's just boring.

I was around Genshin Impact from 1.0 to 4.6. I even uploaded a few clips of the game. You won't find those on my shitty channel anymore, they've been delisted. I don't associate with Genshin Impact anymore, and it's been kind of backhanded because it was something to do and I don't have a lot of things to do. I won't discount the possibility that I might see if I can have a decent experience with it in the form of a private server (since those are possible) where I just run the parts that suck through a paper shredder and make it Gacha Breath of the Wild without the Gacha, I think there could be a really cool way to do that but my idea (which I don't get into) would kind of hinge on it being possible to make it a progression server and I don't know if that'd be possible. While I definitely know the feeling of not even being able to conceive of how to gain that mythical "fulfillment", I just straight up cannot even begin to conceptualize what that fulfillment really would be. Who decides what's fulfilling and what's not? One of the most "literally me" movie quotes I can think of is from Clerks II, when Randal says "I hate everyone and everything is stupid to me." but I really don't have a Dante to fall back on so I don't know what to do. This is for Aleks specifically, I do genuinely hope he reads this, but if you're beyond one hundred percent sure that you're done with Arknights forever, you might want to go scorched earth, burn the bridge, and delete your account. It would probably be hard to get your head around because that's like burning all the money you spent on it, but it would be a more permanent separation from the game since any time you might thing "I wanna play Arknights again" you could immediately follow it with "Fuck that, I don't wanna get all that bullshit again.". Of course, and I'm not endorsing any RMT activity here because that would certainly be against the Arknights terms of service that I personally never agreed to, but you could also sell the account if that wouldn't be too much of a pain in the ass, make it somebody else's problem and cash out. Just something to consider.
Also recently I checked on a Genshin Impact stream, and just from a couple of minutes of watching the game I was like "Man, I am not regretting quitting this game at all." because it just reminded me of how much I bent myself out of shape to try and satisfy myself with how I wanted to play it.

Whilst it hurts to get rid of AK, the game is way too bloated and it's eating up too much of my time. I'm only allowed to actually play other games when it's convenient for AK, which isn't healthy.
I'm not going to delete my account, because A. they could also trim a lot of the fat in some future update
and B. Keeping my account and not using it, proves I'm strong enough to resist.
I'm going to miss it, but I'm mostly going to miss /akg/ and the community, but I can't go back to them, because then I'd wanna log back in ya know?

Honestly Aleks I too have been having my own struggle though mines different. I am someone who craves like hanging out with friends going on adventures etc but I'm just too much of a scared bitch baby or the outside and shit. Like my only discords are my friends ones I am too scared of even public ones like the lmtya about one. If you can overcome your Arknights stuff I will try to go out there more to like be supportive in a way dude.
