I feel somewhat saddened over the death yesterday of this great singer. We all have to die sometime but at least he lived a long life and made so many records for us to hear and enjoy. RIP Fats Domino. You deserve it.
This is a very well known song of Fats D. It was no.8 on Hot 100 in 1957, no. 2 on US R&B and no 25 on the UK list. But as you know, Fats had a lot of millionsellers, and no of his singles in the 50th sold less than 500 000. And he is the most sold songwriter after Lennon/Mccartey !
This is the first time I hear Mr. Domino, and I have to say that he is a very good singer and pianist that I have heard, congratulations and keep it up Fats!!!!
I have this song on an lp by Buddy Holly. I finally found it on a CD after years of hunting. Found it on ebay! First I heard Fats Domino singing it and I love it! Thanks for this!
Antoine ``Fats" Domino. Certainly one of the greatest musicians to ever live. I'm only 48 so in a sense I`m lucky to have such an affinity for such vintage rock. But I gotta agree with Rasta. Fat man over Pitbull,Way bad!!!!
#ugottalisten2b4udie #fatsdomino I want you to take me_ where I be-long Where hearts have been broken with a kiss & a song Soft words have been spo-ken_ so sweet and low
@robsham As long as I have known fats he always use his left hand to signal the band to upswing and so signify a solo. His drumming style is called back beat, but I will review the portion of the video you are talking about and ask him the next time I see him. I spoke with him last Saturday on his Birthday and he was doing well. He did send out a special thanks to his fans for over 50 years of support.
Great stuff from Fats. I heard many years ago that when Fats recorded Blueberry Hill he didn't understand a word as he only spoke French/Cajun. Any truth to that Bob?
I am 71 years old i still love to hear all his songs
Fats is the man with blues. I've listened to him since the 50s. He stirs up all kinds of things with me and I'm sure with you., THANK YOU FATS.
