The true king of rock n roll RIP Big Man
Wow...look at all of the people of different colors.....THIS IS AMERICA....NOLA 2nd LINE....RESPECT.
Wonderful isn’t it? No race lines, no barriers, that’s the way I was raised! My Pops introduced me to Fats’ music when I was a child, I absolutely fell in love with it! Such a talent he was! I’m a Mexican/American from Kansas. No barriers here! Much respect to Fats, his family, and loved ones! 😊
Multi-cultural...multi-generational. Everybody loved the Fat Man! Wish I could have been there.
Going Home in style with love.
I'm 71 I been fan since four I love his today sad to hear of his passing may God bless condolences to family
A wonderful performer. I was privileged to see him at the Saville Theatre in London in the 60s and he was superb. A great innings and a great loss.
He took a piece of my heart with him...
If you look, you will see me there! Thanks Laura
I could smell that awesome food thru the screen...beautiful tribute!
In true Nawlins fashion..what a send away! Local natives...nothing sad...just celebration of his life & his and his bands contribution to Rock-in-Roll in my blue heaven... his unique smile always memorized me!
But, did you recognize the first song? It's our theme song, and it goes like this: Ohhhhhhh, it ain't my fault; I said ohhhhhhh, it ain't my fault! Ohhhhhhh, it ain't my fault...you name it, I'll blame it. It ain't my fault! Yay! New Orleans, proud to crawl home. Bon soir ya'll!
I watch this and feel so proud to be a Fats Domino fan...RIP great man.
RIP Fats Domino. You were a true legend. Love the 2nd line parade. History and tradition matter.

Wow. So much love.
A simple man and the greatist Legend Rip Fats mi mancherai!!
Oh how he soothe my soul his music his voice and his fragment of music oooo😇☃️
Just beautiful!!!
I live in Baton Rouge. When Fats died, it was announced on the news here, but not like it should have been. His music was all about New Orleans and Louisiana. The man was an icon to the state of Louisiana in my mind. If it wasn't for the people in New Orleans giving him a most proper homegoing, I fear, well, I don't know what it would have been said or done on his behalf left to state or government officials.
i'm from baton rouge, i grew up to fats domino music too
THIS IS HOW OUR MAKER WANTED US TO BE...UNIQUE BUT UNITED AS A WHOLE!

What a beautiful ceremony or celebration
New Orleans knows how to do it! great send off
I first heard Fat's Domino's music from my grandfather lives in Tampa, FL. I experienced so many genera and such a rich heratage. He was music royalty and from the genre of doo wop came r&B Neo-Soul hip hop and pop rock because he pioneered the way for so who might not have had the chance to do so.
I ve learned how to play the piano with his music.
Danced too a lot of his songs in the 50,s rip my man
Billy Marshall that’s cool you grew up with great music like fats domino did you ever watch shows like Mickey Mouse club or father knows best I am a classic movie tv and music nerd lol
My condolences and prayers are with your family and friends! Rest in peace Mr. Fats Domino! You were a great man! We love and miss you very much!
Such a beautiful tradition.

Beautiful. WELL DONE nEW oRLEANS
Fats was the greatest r&r singer of all time ! Go New Orleans !
Despite all the doomsday stuff we hear about 'racial problems in America"..New Orleans is still a rich, diverse gumbo of a place: where African Americans and Caucasian, Spanish, Vietnamese, French....and many other ethnicities can join hands, second line to the music, eat together, sing, and celebrate life. I am proud to be a 'NOLAN' by marriage - and MY hubby was born in Mexico!! RIP beloved Fats..
Beautiful!

Just watched this....the last 5 years have been rough for New Orleans legendary musicians....now Art is gone too. Does anyone know ...that looks like Dr. John toward the end of the video.
Yes that was him shacking his head up and down with the black hat on. I know he was going to be there they was good friends
yes that was him, i was surprised to see him, i knew he was there but i didn't think i'd see him. rip
There is only one Domino.
There will always be only one Domino.
Know this.❤️
Did they give Fat’s a good send off? Man, you KNOW they did!!!

Great!!! He deserves
In true new Orleans fashion, celebrate the wonderful life a career of fats
going miss him great guy
Would've been fun to be there. Fats is a legend.
Ppl with cells and cameras should stay on the sides.
Joachim Schmidt you're right. I made it a point to stay out of the way. I climbed fences, got in trees, on top of garbage cans, etc. The people with the cell phones were so obnoxious. They were all over the place in the way . I believe someone wrote an article about that in a local magazine or online somewhere too.
I think that was Dr. John that was in front of his house
WE are outchea 💯💯💯 keep it real its MANIAC
UPTOWN this Sunday
Much love The fat man 💖
What's up Tony? Your dad will be missed.
🕯️🕯️🕯️
anyone know what the last song in this video is? i was there, such an emotional moment...
Ali Baba Last tune is "A Closer Walk with Thee". A traditional arrangement played at most (all) jazz funerals.
what song are they playing at 3:46
What better send-off could a person ask for?
MANIAC HEARTBEAT/RADIO
9:40 Is that Dr. John?
Come uptown this weekend on Washington and lasalle!!!!!
MANIAC's BLACK DJ TRUCK will be out there
On JUNE 3, 2018
This is how I wanna go out
What is the name of the song at 2:54?
I think its called Ain't My Fault
@0:32 is bringing "black face" to a whole new level.
lol
i suppose you could look at it that way, but i personally wouldn't waste my time or energy
Smh the outsiders bruh lol!!!
June 3,2018💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯⚜️⚜️🎉🎭🎭🎭🎺🐑💚💛💚💛
any relation to the Keith (Jamaal) Wilkes who played in the NBA?
my parents actually decided not to name my older brother Keith because of the NBA player and name confusion. so i got the name instead, 10 years later, i guess my parents figured he wasn't as popular at that point. i do like basketball though.
cool
IMA HOLLA AT YAll
None of it is focused on the deceased. Its all a bunch of loud, unorganized procession of everybody wanting to be seen.
they did the second line at the beginning and the procession afterward is tradition it was probably the biggest second line in new orleans history. just because the video looks like a party doesn't mean you gotta get all jealous of our funeral traditions lol :P
