How did you get disappointed in Jayce when Jayce was the one who forced the council to give Zaun its freedom? He is one of the most compassionate and smart characters in the show. He lack of experience and complexity of the problems got the best of him at times, but I think he was a net good.
I think a lot of people found him to be flippy floppy, largely due to his inexperience. He’s just kinda this science nerd himbo that stumbled into politics, and was so easily suggestible. Like whoever was around him in the moment he’d listen to. It’s all in character and part of his growth during his arc, but it makes sense why people would be disappointed or frustrated him over the course of season 1.
@Etticos. yeah but like you said inexperience. He was 24 when he entered the council. He was very capable. But the issue is he was easily led due to his inexperience. I'm looking forward to seeing the Jayce we see in League of Legends tho.
@@axps4964 yeah like I said, his character growth mainly has to do with him developing a spine and learning to navigate political waters due to previous mistakes in the political arena.
I didn’t like Jayce up until the most recent episode. I tend to find characters that are overly compromising, uncharismatic. He is doing some crazy things recently but atleast we are seeing some conviction
Don't know how much of season 2 you've watched by the time this video has been posted but - some serious advice for you. Make sure you don't wear any heavy makeup that might run, and make sure you have some tissues on hand. You're really REALLY going to need them.
LOVED you guys’ reactions to ATLA. Even got me back into rewatching the series. Stoked to see what y’all are gonna think about Arcane season 2. Also, neurodivergent crew _represent_ whut whut
Jayce hate is off the charts 💀 for no valid reason at all. Seems a character written with a serious tone is cancer for people and they need a joker to entertain them all the time.
You are grossly misinformed. This show had an operating budget of over $250 million dollars to produce over the course of 9 years. There was no "saving" of any budget. It is one the most expensive television programs ever produced. EVERY single artistic choice in this show was painstakingly meticulous to craft in order to achieve the exact look and feel that they wanted aesthetically. This isn't a Japanese anime where money is saved on the back end for sakuga and OP and ED episodes with a noticeable lack in quality sprinkled throughout, because of budget and man power limitations. All of those montages and all of the various art styles used to create them were planned in advance for Arcane and all were 100% deliberate. Let me put it to you this way, so that you understand what I'm talking about. "Shingeki no Kyojin" aka "Attack on Titan", one of the most popular anime shows of all time, ran for 4 seasons and had 94 episodes that clocked in at 22 mins a piece, plus 6 specials and the total budget on that show was just under $15 million dollars all in. Arcane, by comparison, had just 2 seasons and only 18 episodes that ran for 40 mins each and it cost a quarter of a billion dollars to create. The artistic choices for elements of this show were purposely implemented as tools for expounding on what animation of this caliber can offer when you throw that much time, dedication and creativity into it. It wasn't done for reasons of budgetary thrift. It was done because it was stylized and cool.
@@jackspratt7264 lol you're rather condescending aren't you. I am quite aware of the budget as I'm a pretty big Arcane fan and League player since it was released. I work in tv & film and so how I look at a production probably differs a bit from most. I know that there is always budget saving where production thinks they can get away with it and this budget saving is always a "deliberate choice" . There are many parts, I can tell, where there wasn't as much detail put in as there was in Season 1. I can't quite put a finger on it but it felt like a there was a much simpler colour pallet, and less detailed shading in parts (i plan to rewatch once I'm done the series to dissect it more) . All that aside, l care less about the budget and more about the writing. First two episodes feel a little choppy in parts. This could be because of editing, as there is always "footage" that doesn't make it to the final cut, or it could be because they needed to skip over some stuff in the aftermath of s1 finale in order to get to the meat of the story quicker. There were moments that were clearly left in like mile markers that they had to hit to appease league players (I play League); this isn't necessarily bad if it makes sense for the story, but 1 or 2 shots felt a little gratuitous and didn't really do much for driving the story forward. 2d Nintendo style animation to skip over parts felt a little like filler, and I'm never a fan of a character explaining what is going on (especially when monologuing) as a way to explain what is going on or the character development that they've gone through. Keep in mind I'm nitpicking a bit and will have to revisit it to form a final opinion. Last, I am familiar with the game and lore and so am able to follow along pretty well. I think that some parts would be pretty confusing for a watcher who knows nothing of the game, although I'll have to see how the 3rd act plays out to see if they explain it better for non league players. All in all, I am obsessed and love love love Arcane and am extremely happy and excited with how S2 is playing out so far. I can't wait for Act 3!
I don't find them forced, personally. They aren't just for the animators to flex with different art styles-they are a really efficient way of highlighting all of the important context the viewer needs to know for the episode (especially after time skips). I'd rather have that than heavy handed exposition trying to cover all the same ground, imo.
Lmao you guys are so in the minority you jump on every vid to desperately try to get followers to agree with you on that point. Almost NOBODY agrees with you. Get your fill in your obscurity. Art isnt compromised because you dont like music.

Little fun fact, the entire charcoal opening was legitimately done by hand 🔥🔥

@ actually he was 24 in season 1 act 1. In season one act 2 he is 30-31, which is when he joined the council.
@@Etticos. Oh, yeah. But again still a young age, and he was particularly inexperienced in politics, so point still stands.
@@axps4964 yeah like I said, his character growth mainly has to do with him developing a spine and learning to navigate political waters due to previous mistakes in the political arena.
All Jayce haters suck. He doing everything he can to protect his city and save lives

Oh man, You guys are in for it with this season.
Arcane season 2 is awesome💯
Can we talk about how Ambessa is gangster AF for pulling up the way she did?
"She is smoking a cigarette with a chainsaw"
"She's smoking through her nose thing"
Love the reaction

I thought you guys were reacting to the Linkin Park song. Guess I'll come back after seeing the show.
Not the Fuel reference 🫡
Great react 🎉🎉
LET’S. FUCKING. GO.

hop on league ❤
Omggg
Enjoy the show. Ignore all the whiners and haters who don't understand the show. A couple days away from the final act.
Ep 1, and 2 were mid for me. A little rushed, and too much exposition and montages imo. Ep 3 was great though, and ep 4-6 were all incredible!

I just wish Season 2 didn't force so many "Music Video" moments at the viewer.
it's a bit much in the first arc but they really turned it down in the later episodes in my opinion.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh I loved that aspect. It's a cool way to show progression of time while letting the animators and music flex
