- My first ever timecode vinyl mix, with Classic Trance songs that I wished I'd bought on real vinyl back in the day, but missed out on, and now are far too expensive.

To buy vinyl copies of this entire mix would cost £620 based on current Discogs prices (and a big chunk of that is Luminary and Reflekt!). Hopefully prices will come down a bit soon and I can cross some of these off the list!
All tracks are legally purchased digital downloads (no rips).

Video recorded on iPhone 12.
Audio recorded with Audacity/PC internal sound card via mixer record output (as DVS mod removes USB recording ability) - sorry for the slight noise noticeable in the quiet parts (this seems to be the crappy internal soundcard in the PC used to record it).

Discogs is great and still reasonable on most records to be fair, the big problem is the shipping costs are almost double the price of the records, kills it!

How are you getting on with the behringer uca202?
I recently bought a secondhand Tascam us-144mkii for 20 GBP to rcord and livestream my sets. It's a pretty old interface, but was quite highly regarded 10 years ago. it was a toss up between buying the Tascam secondhand or a new Behringer uca202, but as the Tascam has multiple inputs, i thought it would come in handy!
Hi there AW, good to hear from you! Yes indeed they are much easier. I’m really happy with the Reloops.
This set was the last I recorded with the Windows PC/built in soundcard. I’ve got one mix recorded on the Behringer (Vinyl Only #5) and it’s spot on for that. Lovely clear sound and no additional background noise. I’ve not tried live-streaming anything yet though but might well give that a go. Yes I’d heard that the Tascam was decent too.

@@JonGTranceClassics That's great to hear. Modern in-built sound cards on PC's are not at all bad in terms of the overall dynamics & sound quality, but they can be noisy due to interference from the other components on the motherboard, resulting in a high noise floor as you mentioned.
I think It would be interesting to do some side by side compassion audio comparisons between the built in sound cards on our Xone mixers and compare that to the onboard PC sound cards and an external interface/soundcard.
By the way, i see that you have swapped the Mixx Carts with your Club mk2's. any reasoning behind that, or are you just using the Mix Carts as a second pair for DVS?
@@AmbientWanderer Only just seen your comment... yes, the comparison between sound cards would be interesting, potentially also with the pre-amps too, as I strongly suspect the one in my A&H is way better than the one in the Reloops.
Ref the carts - they were just what I had before. The friend who I'm looking after the AT120s for provided me with a Concorde Club mk2, and the Concorde Club mk1 was actually sitting up in my Mum's loft with no protection at all on top of an old Gemini mixer. I was amazed it still worked tbh, never mind as well as it did - it didn't cause any issues at all, even when back-cueing.
So with 1 loaned Club mk2 that will go back to it's owner at some point, and an ancient Club mk1 that needed a new stylus at least, I decided to splash out on a pair of the Mix ones when buying the Reloops. Very happy with them so far, and they seem comparable to the Club ones I was using before.
Love the discussion on things like this, and the Behringer etc.. I didn't have much, if any of this back in the day and finding it to be a really enjoyable aspect of putting these videos up, so thanks for the comments :)

Where did you purchase these tracks from ?
Beatport is my usual go to. Listening back though, there is some static in the background on some of the tracks so they must be rips from when I borrowed vinyl from friends back in the day.

I see you experience same issue on playing dvs as me - sporadic very quick speed jums (sounds like broken cassette tape). This is from the dust collected by needle. Clean them before each new track.
