I’m liking blood drinker on my dusk mage especially early game allows me to pump out all the dmg I want and need and stay alive with just one ability from the tree.
It doesn't say so during character creation but all of the passive skills that say "Requires an equipped x" will also apply to exclusive weapons for the base class. It'll show up in the skill tree once you start the game. So Dusk Mage can use a Digitus, Sharpshooter a Bow, and Railmaster a Railhammer (?). This gives some more flexibility with the relics. The robot doesn't appear to have one. I didn't test every combination but made a few different characters and I assume this is the case across the board.
Sharpshooter and Coldheart is amazing if you're playing in a party. Not too far in myself, but we started on the hardest difficulty and it's been a breeze.
I choose same they just seemed a very natural choice to keep things frozen and slowed while shooting them from a distance i play on 2nd Hardest difficulty solo so far only died only a couple of times main;y from being cheap and not using potions in time while i had like 15 of em :)
Playing as Blood Bot, very nice spin to win meta once you hit lvl 20, drains health fast and self heals, dishes out tons of damage and dots with zero downtime.
I really think this relic system is really bad, choosing this relic before you even played the game is stupid. To me the right way would be choosing this maybe at the middle or at the end of the game, or at least make you choose two of them and make you able to equip them whenever you want, with skill points that can only be spent on them.
I didn't give this one much thought when starting the game, as I didn't have any picture of what the skills will look like. Realizing later that you can't change relics is just demotivating. Why did they scrap the flexible relic system from Early Access??
The system as it was in early access was garbage - not only it was pretty hard to get a new relic, but you also needed to lvl-up it from 0. Consider fixed relics as your second class. You have no idea how class skills look like too, right?
I just started and went with bane for my dusk mage. i spam autoattack with my snecko stick, spectral spiders for great dmg + summons. I have frenzy and stormblade for legendary skills to buff my autoattack. tier3 radiant strike is also great because of corpse explosion.
Running a nasty Dusk mage Melee build with Flaming Destroyer and 2 handed sword. Flame cloak paired with consecration, and harmonic form enables some absolutely nutty bursts. I rely heavily on Basic attacks with standing inside dark spears. Currently playing on Painful.... but probably gonna go to Ridiculous soon due it being a cake walk.
Just play the whole game on ridiculous, it’s the only difficulty I’ve I tried and I am enjoying the game a lot. I thought I would hate it based on people’s comments. The game feels like it was balanced at ridiculous, at least for anyone has played arpgs before. Anyways, good luck.🍀
@@saltyoldman654 Yeah, I switch to ridiculous and I have gotten to 71 in djinn challenge with this build. I ran into a light defense issue around the 50's dumped a little damage for defense..... but the build is still going strong. Alot of fun.
I am playing on the Switch so it abit.. unstable and Blood Drinker has saved my bacon, i can literally tank the necromancers bone tornado move and just heal right through it. Imo the best.

Honestly, flaming destroyer is prob the best. Blood drinker is ok. But I ran through all of endgame as a forged/blooddrinker and am kind of disappointed with the tree. Flaming destroyer on the other hand is nasty af.
I run the blood drinker with a rail master slammer! Fat bleeds, huge health pool and tons of aoe n mobility with spinning hammer! Plus the blast charge 40% vulnerability and the return charges with spinning hammer and the full endurance on spinning blade for the huge spikes is nice! The great weapons procing rupture on my bleeds is nice! Build up that relic energy and cast dance of death and spam your t3 spinning blades on a boss as you auto him and watch the health disappear!
If you offer me a choice of elemental based powers, I'll always take lightning unless I'm building a VERY specific role-play character in mind that requires one of the others.
Playing in ridiculous. Cursed pirate+bane makes for a stupidly op experience. Spawn mates, spawn spider, spawn first mate, cast fire, drop banner, cast miasma, black spot enemies. Everything dies in seconds. Just fought sadista. She didn't last longer than 15 seconds. Didn't hit me once....is this game broken lol. Needs to be another 2 difficulties above ridiculous.
i wonder if i should buy it or not i like diablo but i dont like path of exiles so much i just look for a diablolike game with like you can make your own builds find alot of loot and uniques to improve your hero etc. and bosses aswell for rare enemies etc. a game that doesnt end quick or after a bit . i did enjoy wolcen but completed the game to quick i had to refund it.. also there was just 1 build th at oneshotted all bosses basicly.. Torchlight and Chronicon those 2 games i wonder wich is better and same look like as the diablo 2 or 3
I play the game since the 6th and all the players that bought the game from early could. Avoid cold heart relic, all the others are good for different builds. The most used right now in the meta builds is the electro one and bane. Fire relic is also really good with blood one at the same place.
I want Blood drinker ... Unfortunately i don`t own the game and i doubt i will now that covid shut down my workplace... I guess i`ll wait for the cracked version ...
@@antongrigoryev6381 No, you aren't. Classes have different identities and you are free to switch around within their boundaries. Maybe you start out as a fire mage, but you either don't like it or you get a cool staff which buffs cold spells, so you switch. It is flexible. A relic is much more rigid and it is an absolute joke you can't switch it. It's like if you couldn't reset skill points. It is a braindead move from the developers, and a great sign why not to buy this game - at least not for its current price. If a developer team pulls such bullshit out of their ass, that is a sign of incompetence and/or laziness.

You are not gonna respec your mage if you found a nice sword, trying to get a melee character, right? You are not going to complain that you can't do it? Well, there are games where you can, but it is a serious design decision and isn't in any way necessary for any game. In most games, you are locked within your class and can use only the abilities it gives, you can't respec out of its boundaries. Relics are the same. They are basically your second class, and I see no reason why they 'must' have the ability to be changed.
Not unless you want to go for a basic attack build, which Railmaster is the only viable option there, otherwise you'll be using your skills most often.
I dont get the hate for this game, granted im waiting to pick up a copy once it drops on switch, but it looks like a really fun, albeit simple, arpg. The relic system also looks like an altoholics dream 😍

Game is friggin unstable but fun. Doesnt help as something about Particules and effects makes the Switch feel sick and slow even in like Mario Kart BUT the game is still fun... just make sure to take it abit slow.
Dusk Mage can benefit from Electrode when you build around Entropy Orb. Most of the relics will work pretty well since DM doesn't really lean towards any single element or playstyle.
Dusk Mage can work really well with all of them. Electro and Fire seem to be the best for them imo. I actually prefer using a Dusk Mage with a melee oriented build so that might be why I think so.
Electro is pretty solidly the big dick screen aids relic. It's just LIGHTNING EVERYWHERE MWUAHAHAHA Thor bullshit, especially on a railmaster with the train and a big hammer. or you can be a tanky shield railmaster if you want cuz mace, but why do that? BIG HAMMER SMASH.

Blood drinker for the robot and Flame destroyer for the Rail Master. I'm happy that they released this game for PS4 as well

I use cold heart for my sharp shooter summoner build. Never die with it. Good hardcore choice relic

snowstorm is great though, long freezes and crits. Too bad it doesnt work on bosses though.
Coldheart Sharpshooter has been great for me so far, but haven't done Ridiculous difficulty yet.
I'm starting my first character now and picking Railmaster with the Electrode Relic. I'll try Blood drinker relic for next one.
Doing the same thing right now! Haven't enjoyed the train so far in the first few minutes. Hopefully it grows on me.

@@adfinemrising Dusk has two choices for first dark skill, and Dark spears is crazy good for building dark if you're running mostly light skills.

Yea this is exactly why locking in your relic at character creation is a terrible idea. There shouldn't be a bad choice or relics 'you need to avoid.'

Someone said that if you use a weapon that does the corresponding damage according to your relic then it doesn't matter which class or skill you use.

I personally think bloodseekers with a cyclone build is the best spell in the game.

Idk that’s how old rpgs worked. You made and remade characters until you found the best build. Was the same with diablo 2
