Nedry's plan was not about running away with boat - he was supposed to return to the control room after delivering the embryos. The novel makes it clearer.
After reading the first book, it's a pretty clear message that the park was always doomed to fail one way or another. Dennis only sped up the inevitable. With such an unreliable quick to fail secondary form of auxiliary power as a back up and the need for power in general rather than more conventional methods of containment in the first place, it was only a matter of time for dinosaurs to try to escape such flimsy fences.
5:01 In the book Dennis actually had a tranquilizing rocket launcher in the car he took. He thought it was some kind of "weird tubing" but they ended up needing it to tranq the t-rex later on and realized it was in the car HE took.
There would definitely be an investigation but his plan wasn't to to release dinosaurs to eat people. He just disabled enough of the automated systems to get the embryos and get them to the dock. The storm is something that he didn't count on and is what caused the majority of the problems. If not for that, there shouldn't have been any deaths and probably very little evidence of his crimes, given that he also disabled security cameras.
Cee Jay in the novel he states he tried to make it so he has enough time to deliver the embryos and get back before he was missed, implying he would have came back and turned the power back on
Here’s my opinion on the matter. No matter what at least some Dino’s were bound to escape even with a time limit and higher safety precautions. These escapees would stall an investigation or possibly prevent it. They might over run the island entirely. That would leave time for Nedry to escape far away and live off his fortune on the run. If he did make it to deliver the embryos his best bet would be to leave with the people he made the deal with just incase the island got taken over. (They might have killed him on the spot but let’s say they decided not to) If there’s no survivors from the island who happen to figure out it was he who did this, he could have lived comfortably but wracked with guilt. It’d be smarter to prevent others from escaping the island but that’s also ruthless... He’d be a murderer but either way he already chose money over the safety of others. If he planned this better and waited for the hurricane to pass Nedry could have survived... I personally could care less for his character because he was a selfish jerk but this all could have gone down differently. It just so happens he was terrible at planning and also very sloppy. Thanks for reading! Wish everyone well! :)
4:25 You have 'Butterfingers' haha. Seriously love this, looks just like the scene! Feels like earlier in the year when I waited for each of your Trespasser Levels, I really enjoyed coming along for the adventure! Straight up shit myself at seeing the Dilo in the back window of the Jeep! And at both Raptors! The detail and scenery is awesome! I love the Jeep scene with the Seinfeld Easter egg! I wonder if the East Dock Arrow would really twizzle like when Nedry does it! haha I'd love to see what happens if you go towards the Geo Thermal plant, and how big the world of the scene is!
I love this. I have never thought what would have happened if Nedry made it to the boat, but I have often wondered if he ever thought about how many time he could have gotten contacts and didn’t. If his glasses hadn’t fogged up, it could have been so different.
A trespasser mod I was familiar with beforehand! Nice to see you finally play it! If Nedry made it, and we assume he got the can to Biosyn on time, then yes, Biosyn would have the ability to clone their own Dinosaurs like InGen. However, I don't think Biosyn would display the Dinosaurs for profit. In the Lost World Novel, Lewis wanted them to perform experiments on the cloned animals, since the modern public reacts harshly to experimenting modern animals. Surely, an extinct animal has no rights in the modern day, at least, according to Lewis. Now, I don't think Nedry intended to leave the power off. The plan was to shut the power off to have access to the east dock, head over there, drop them off, and come back and restore power. All in the span of about 20 minutes or so. Unfortunately, Nedry's actions speed up the inevitable. Jurassic Park was doomed to fail. I can think of several reasons. The reproducing Dinosaurs, the Dinosaurs being in the wrong time period (the point of the sick trike scene), and even the park system was flawed. A Tour Vehicle? What if it breaks down? Imagine the line for that thing!!!
imagine how much cooler nedry's death would be if he was able to make it to the dock but he missed the boat and a bunch of raptors who were hiding at the dock pounced on him.
@@AlbinoMothDragon Yeah they escaped when mr Arnold shut down the system which inadvertedly shut down the raptor fence 🤦🤦🤦. You just didn't get it. Why don't you stick with cartoons for fuck's sake?
That was fun. Nerdy was just the straw that broke the camel's back of the doom of Jurassic Park. Not that it didn't much of a straw. As if he got away. I see 1 of 3 things happening. (In an alternate world) 1- Dodgson shots and kills Nedry after he brings the embryos. Thus killing him as he knows he won't be any help. And to silence Nedry from his corporate espionage. Dead man tell no tale2- Nedry lives, but goes to jail for many years, betrayed by Dodgson.3- Dodgson takes the embryos, knocks out Nedry and leaves him behind to become dinosaur chow or face Hammond's anger. Dies on his trip back, from the many escaped dinosaurs. Biosyn creates dinosaurs, totally fails (as they have no Wu). However, I see both companies (nGen/Biosyn) going under, which leads up to Lost World.
This was pretty awesome. I've always wanted to see or read a version of the story where Nedry got away. I feel like the Jurassic franchise, in hindsight, would have been just that little bit better had he escaped the island.
So, basically if Nedry got out he would have a "last man standing" scenario with a group of Raptors that had secretly been breeding outside of the fences? Interesting. Also when can we have a 1994-accurate 1st person survival Jurassic Park game set in a similar style to Alien Isolation?
@JurassicHero 3 They "covered" that though in the first Jurassic World. Dr. Wu said, "You are acting like we are engaged in some kind of mad science. But we are doing what we have done from the beginning. Nothing in Jurassic World is natural. We have always filled gaps in the genome with the DNA of other animals. And, if their genetic code was pure, many of them would look quite different. But you didn't ask for reality. You asked for more teeth."
TheNavyShark Great observation and explanation to different genetic sequences in species. When I saw that in the movie I thought this could lead to future implementation for the Jurassic Park franchise. Glad someone else pointed it out in the comment section! :)
This was cool! I really like that there's a certain time you have to make it to the boat How is this game so stupid fun lol Also, I know you probably test run the mods first, to avoid putting a lot of effort into a video that will end up being like a minute long because of a bug, but I really like these blind playthroughs too🌸
Nedry would’ve been caught eventually and he probably would’ve rated out who he stole the dna for in a deal for lesser time in prison. He would be held accountable for involuntary man slaughter.
Is anybody else going to talk about the fact that the Velociraptor would have killed Nedry in an instant when it first appeared?! Great video though, so funny!
raptors didnt escape until the reset the whole power grid. to remove the virus from the computer. hint why the shotgun dude went with her to breaker boxes.
It’s either those eggs from the movie that Alan, Tim and Lex found or my personal guess. These raptors are the ones from the Telltale game, in the Telltale game John has ordered more Raptors from Site B because the Big One has killed all but the 2 in the beginning of the movie and he simply ordered more to replace the ones that got killed. But I’m not sure really, I mean I don’t even know when did this mod come out, it could’ve come out earlier before the Telltale game.
The Denis Nedry trespasser mod wasn’t meant to represent that Nedry had escaped from Jurassic Park, it was what happened to him after he died, it was his own personal hell
A lot of people got this part wrong in the movies. NEDRY WAS NEVER PLANNING TO LEAVE THE ISLAND. The whole purpose of White Rabbit Object was to disable all the security measures and surveillance so he could drop off the embryo's at the ship's contact and return. A lot of people assume that Nedry disabling the park fences was sabotage but in reality, he did that to get PAST the ELECTRIFIED GATES that were in his way. "Why not disable the gates and keep the fences powered then?" Because he wanted them to not figure out what he was doing. If he just disabled the gates then the others could figure out what was going on, but if he disabled everything they would just think it was a global system failure. It's evidence can be found in the movie itself. You can see that Arnold was questioning why the security door went offline to which Hammond said "well he said that could happen". Arnold was already suspicious by the disabled security doors in the visitor centre, let alone the bloody gate fences. And ask yourself this. What would've happened if Nedry went along with the ship? Nedry goes missing, Ingen staff finds Nedry on the ship. Disaster happens on JP, Nedry gets arrested with a fuckton of money. And if Nedry wanted to sabotage JP, why didn't Nedry disable the raptor pen? If he really wanted to get off the island, he'd have been on the ship before the Raptors could arrive at the dock (if they went to the dock at all). No... Here was Nedry's plan; Disable security -> secure embryo's. Disable main fence systems -> get past the elecrified gates Drop off the embryo and get the rest of his cut Return to the visitor centre before things really got out of control and fix the problem. He'd probably get reprimanded but everyone besides maybe Arnold wouldn't be none the wiser.
Another question you probably have is "why did he disable the phone lines?" Because then Arnold couldn't call for Nedry or anybody else for help. Nedry could just return saying "Oh hey, I went to the toilet, what's up?" Remember, he wanted everything to be done in 15-18 minutes. So one can assume that he was just on a long toilet break.
I would have liked to see an alternative version of the movie where only Nedry and Genero live. Nedry indeed gets his Jeep successfully pulled out, is able to run over the Dilophosaurus (while doing his high pitched squeaky laugh), he makes it to the dock. Genero on the other hand, safely stays in the bathroom all night, only to emerge the next day to discover the badly destroyed vehicle he was riding in, covered in human remains. He discovers Jeep tracks and follows them back to the control center finding the remains of the others. He goes over to Hammond's badly mutilated corpse and says "Looks like you aren't going to get that apology now, John!" Genero sues InGen so successfully, that he somehow inherits the island. He proceeds to turn it into his own theme park "Lawyer Land". Sorry, no Coupon Days. The park's security is headed up by Nedry, who after his transition is now referred to as Denise. A tense love story develops between Genero and Denise culminating in their rigorous love affair that takes them all over the park; from the Arraignment Bouncy Castle, to the Due Process Log Ride...they make sweet passionate love. Through all of this, a problem arises when Lewis Dodgson arrives to claim Denise as his own. Will Denise follow her heart or go back to the man who she once loved?
Great video Klayton Fioriti about what if Dennis Nedry got away from Jurassic Park. If Dennis Nedry survived the Dilophosaurus attack, he would definitely do something really worst by making Jurassic Park electronic parts and let more dinosaurs eat people and others.

Hey Klayton and other fellow Parky's. I wanted to ask your views on Nedry's fate. For me the movie timeline is still full of questions because some things dont seem to add up.(Forgive me if this becomes a long comment) i always wonder how bad Nedry screwed up since that 18 minute window always bugs me. Now i am using also information from the book and i dont know how much of that is also true for the movie. In the movie he mentions he has his 18 minute window, in the book its mentioned he practiced his route to the east dock a couple times so he could do it in under 18 minutes. That includes the stealing of the embryos so travel time is less then 18min. How could he have practiced it if the fences are on? First road we see him using is for the park tour exclusively since the Iconic gate he needed to manually overide. Why did he need to go though the paddocks? The shuttle to the docks did not use the roads through the paddocks obviously, so even at high speed the shuttles route takes longer then
How about for JW3's opening; we open on Nedry's death... only he survives in the extended dilo scene we've been waiting the whole series for? De-aged Newman anyone?
There is also another game where a main character and a side character were on the boat and went looking for him. They find his body and manage to find the dinosaur embryos. However the same dinosaur attacks and kills the side character. But the main character gets away and meets the other main character. Either way, later the embryos will be destroyed.

In short he had planned everything. EXCEPT THIS DAMNED STORM!
Nedry was a genius. :D

5:01 In the book Dennis actually had a tranquilizing rocket launcher in the car he took. He thought it was some kind of "weird tubing" but they ended up needing it to tranq the t-rex later on and realized it was in the car HE took.
there would be an investigation and he'd be a wanted man for the deaths he caused. i can't believe he actually thought he would get away scott free .
There would definitely be an investigation but his plan wasn't to to release dinosaurs to eat people. He just disabled enough of the automated systems to get the embryos and get them to the dock. The storm is something that he didn't count on and is what caused the majority of the problems. If not for that, there shouldn't have been any deaths and probably very little evidence of his crimes, given that he also disabled security cameras.
yeah watch legaleagles video hes so fucked
He would probably take his millions and go somewhere where he wouldn't get arrested.
Yes. He should've had little windshield wipers installed on his glasses, just like in cartoons.
I think that Nedry may have gotten away if he was smart enough to avoid the Dilphosaurus, but he was not very clever as he thinks.

He’d probably drink another soda. Most likely a can of Coke.
Yeah
The Dilophosaurus would have a lot less weight too. 👅
Ah ah ah, you didn’t say the magic word

That was fun.
Nerdy was just the straw that broke the camel's back of the doom of Jurassic Park. Not that it didn't much of a straw.
As if he got away. I see 1 of 3 things happening. (In an alternate world)
1- Dodgson shots and kills Nedry after he brings the embryos.
Klayton, you missed a perfect opportunity after shooting the Dilo to say, "Eh, no wonder you're extinct!"
This was pretty awesome. I've always wanted to see or read a version of the story where Nedry got away. I feel like the Jurassic franchise, in hindsight, would have been just that little bit better had he escaped the island.
"The Sabotage of Denis Nedry" Yeah that Dilophosaurus really Sabotaged his plans ;)
(In the intro) all of the large dinosaurs: bold roar
The raptor: reeeeee!
The guy in the trenchcoat at the end looks like James Rolfe
A combination of James Rolfe and John Carmack.
So, basically if Nedry got out he would have a "last man standing" scenario with a group of Raptors that had secretly been breeding outside of the fences? Interesting.
Also when can we have a 1994-accurate 1st person survival Jurassic Park game set in a similar style to Alien Isolation?
I hope we see the Dilophosaurus in Jurassic World 3.
A full grown Dilo would make me so happy
@JurassicHero 3 That's also true, fans can be the worst and the best thing for a franchise.
@JurassicHero 3 the dilo has frilled lizard dna
TheNavyShark Great observation and explanation to different genetic sequences in species. When I saw that in the movie I thought this could lead to future implementation for the Jurassic Park franchise. Glad someone else pointed it out in the comment section! :)
Am I the only one who got the Seinfeld reference?
Of course not. He's an antagonist on both Seinfeld and Jurassic Park
He points it out. I could understand if he hadn't said anything. How could you possibly think you could be the only one?
Newman!
i think Nedry should have told John that he was hired to rob him, that surely would have got him a pay raise for being honest.

This was cool! I really like that there's a certain time you have to make it to the boat
How is this game so stupid fun lol

Dennis gangster shooting a 9mm at a dinosaur is way funnier than it should be
Nedry would’ve been caught eventually and he probably would’ve rated out who he stole the dna for in a deal for lesser time in prison. He would be held accountable for involuntary man slaughter.
Yeah probably
I am trying to imagine Newman jumping, running, and hiding from a raptor. This is probably the most funny thing I have seen in months.

Is anybody else going to talk about the fact that the Velociraptor would have killed Nedry in an instant when it first appeared?!
Great video though, so funny!

You should have said "Oh no I dropped my gun! I can afford more guns." and gotten back in the jeep.
*"How did the 'raptors get out?"* Take a guess.....
The raptor fence was still on though. It's made pretty clear in the movie that all other fences were taken offline except the raptor paddock
raptors didnt escape until the reset the whole power grid. to remove the virus from the computer. hint why the shotgun dude went with her to breaker boxes.

"Why not disable the gates and keep the fences powered then?"
Because he wanted them to not figure out what he was doing. No...
Here was Nedry's plan;
Disable security -> secure embryo's.
Disable main fence systems -> get past the elecrified gates
Drop off the embryo and get the rest of his cut
Return to the visitor centre before things really got out of control and fix the problem.
He'd probably get reprimanded but everyone besides maybe Arnold wouldn't be none the wiser.
Another question you probably have is "why did he disable the phone lines?"
Because then Arnold couldn't call for Nedry or anybody else for help. Nedry could just return saying "Oh hey, I went to the toilet, what's up?"
Remember, he wanted everything to be done in 15-18 minutes. So one can assume that he was just on a long toilet break.
I've probably thought about this 'what if' more than any other in pop culture lol
You playing trespasser is ridiculously funny
I would have liked to see an alternative version of the movie where only Nedry and Genero live.
Nedry indeed gets his Jeep successfully pulled out, is able to run over the Dilophosaurus (while doing his high pitched squeaky laugh), he makes it to the dock.
Genero on the other hand, safely stays in the bathroom all night, only to emerge the next day to discover the badly destroyed vehicle he was riding in, covered in human remains. He discovers Jeep tracks and follows them back to the control center finding the remains of the others. He goes over to Hammond's badly mutilated corpse and says "Looks like you aren't going to get that apology now, John!"
Genero sues InGen so successfully, that he somehow inherits the island.

Love how he drops the gun instead of his glasses, he had to drop something, being nedry. :D
The very first thing I thought of when Klayton started the mod as Nedry, was “shout at the dilophosaur, ‘No wonder you’re extinct!’”
That was intense.

The shuttle to the docks did not use the roads through the paddocks obviously, so even at high speed the shuttles route takes longer then
Wayne Knight just bunny hoppin to victory, amazing
How about for JW3's opening; we open on Nedry's death... only he survives in the extended dilo scene we've been waiting the whole series for? De-aged Newman anyone?
There is also another game where a main character and a side character were on the boat and went looking for him. They find his body and manage to find the dinosaur embryos. However the same dinosaur attacks and kills the side character. But the main character gets away and meets the other main character. Either way, later the embryos will be destroyed.
